Seireitei Jaunt: A Moment Of Peace - Page 2 Empty Re: Seireitei Jaunt: A Moment Of Peace

Post by Tenjinsai Bushinji Tue Jul 09, 2019 1:40 pm

Kirito seemed to quickly approve of the offer to train with one other; He was visibly thrilled by the proposition it seemed as well. The man Tenjinsai now called brother was a fighter through and through. It was something that, while he himself was not completely dedicated to battle, could respect and admire in others. Tenjinsai had always been one to fight because it was required or necessary, never for personal satisfaction. Those that did, he did not look down on, if anything he almost longed for that simplicity. There was a peace in that pursuit of combat and strength. It was a release of burden that those that stowed their power possessed. Tenjinsai was fully aware of how strong he was and the devastation that could be wrought under his might. Worlds could be leveled at a whim, lives snuffed out without ever realizing what had befallen them; It plagued him.

It was his duty, his responsibility, that drove him to do that he did. But always in the back of his head, there was a small nagging thought. Every time he drew his blade, he thought of why; Why was he fighting and was it the right course of action. Was there something else he could have done, perhaps persuasion or diplomacy, why did it come to blows. It made him realize as well though that he was still in touch with his morals and ideals. There was the constant battle within his mind, thoughts racing about thinking and analyzing every decision that he made. He feared that a day might come where his perception would change, perhaps even fade away and his sensibilities would be lost. But that was still a long ways away, hopefully. For now he had a task at hand, one that was important and wholeheartedly believed to be just and necessary.

He had offered his hand in training Kirito, and that is exactly what he would do. He kept his zanpaktou sheathed, not desiring to go all out from the start as it were. The raw power he possessed would suffice for the time being unless his brother proved to be a larger challenge then he assumed. As it was, his father was the strongest person he had faced to this point, and he had to of course use the full extent of his strength to defeat him, and perhaps even more beyond that. Now he was significantly more powerful with a better grasp, and more well rounded skill set. He would start slow, warm up, and increase the heat as needed to give his brother the proper training he required. He was not here to beat him into the ground, but to instead prepare him for the challenges ahead. If he could manage to hold his own against Tenjinsai, he would be ready for whatever was ahead.

Tenjinsai removed his haori, folding it up and using shunpou to place it a decent distance away. He did not have to time to have a new one made if it were to be damage during their training. While his family was also wealthy, they were not cheap to be made as well. Once his haori was secreted away, he quickly came back and stretched momentarily, warming up his limbs and muscles. "It's been a little while since my last actual fight. I'm going to warm up first and we'll heat things up as we go." Once finished Tenjinsai paused for a moment, looking Kirito up and down, soaking up his strength. "Normally I would give my opponent the first move, but as this is your training, I hope you don't mind if I go first." Then in a blisteringly fast burst of speed, Tenjinsai used shunpou to fling himself forward at Kirito.

As he closed in he unleashed a simple barrage of strikes, a variety of punches and kicks aimed at various parts of the body. Though while the assault was certainly basic, the speed and power behind them was not. This was the start of an ordeal that would test his brothers mettle and strength. Now it was up to him to see how he would hold up.

The training had begun, Kirito was ready for anything other than the fact that Tenjinsai was very fast. He threw many punches and kicks which sent Kirito back a few feet. He had great speed and it outmatched his own. At this point it meant that trying to match him for speed was out of the question. Using his flames of the Phoenix, Kirito managed to recover from any damage that he took at this point in time but now had to think on how he could even match up. Tenjinsai was the strongest Shinigami and with Kirito being the strongest Human it didn't hold much. Either way this was just training so hopefully he didn't go overboard.

"I guess you are just as strong as before. Even faster than I remember as well. I can see now you out match me in speed alone and I couldn't even see the attack either. I guess my training in the Human world was nothing compared to other powers around the world." Stumbling for a slight moment Kirito managed to regain his footing and standing. If speed was out of the question, he had to be very strong as well. Perhaps using the Mochi as a string of attack might help. Gripping his fists Kirito's hand began to glow a little as the mochi in the area around them began to move around like water. If he couldn't beat him in speed perhaps he could constrict him and at least get in a single hit, even though victory wasn't the goal here. It was to test his abilities and stress them hard.

Pulling his arms together the mochi began to form around Tenjinsai giving Kirito the opening he could wish for. He then charged in at his full speed and prepared for a single kick to the torso in hopes of actually landing a hit on his brother. Nothing to prove other than he could hold up even in a situation where he was outmatched.

Seireitei Jaunt: A Moment Of Peace - Page 2 Empty Re: Seireitei Jaunt: A Moment Of Peace

Post by Tenjinsai Bushinji Wed Jul 17, 2019 3:20 pm

It seemed that Tenjinsai's strikes hit home, though Kirito certainly seemed to take the damage fairly well. He then observed as his adversary used one of his several, unusual powers, to recover from any harm he had suffered. It seemed to function similarly to his own kaidou, though faster and more effective to be certain. Tenjinsai would even say the speed at which the recovery was achieved rivaled some of the more proficient healers or natural regeneration of some species. He realized as well this was actually his first time seeing the full extent of Kirito's powers. Their prior meetings had always been brief, and usually at the end of the battle. He would need to make a note to study his brother as they fought and learn was he was capable of. Just because one did not possess as much raw power as their adversary did not mean they were not still dangerous.

In that same regard, Tenjinsai outclassed Kirito significantly in the quantity, and quality, of their raw energy. However, his opponent could have something stowed away up his sleeve that could eventually turn the battle in his direction. When facing a stronger opponent, cunning, manipulation, and strategy were often your most valuable assets. Tenjinsai wanted to see just how capable this man before him was. As this thought crossed his mind, the young Captain observed as Kirito's hand began to glow. He raised an eyebrow, curious as to what he intended to do. An answer came shortly there after in the form of the structure he created previously to begin moving and swaying. The building became an anomolous writhing mass of material, beginning to form around him like a cage to prevent his movement. 'Clever, clever indeed.' It did not take long for Tenjinsai to put two and two together.

He had an option now, to either move and escape before this prison formed around him, or stand his ground and see what Kirito would do next. Though his instincts told him to move, the more curious nature he possessed compelled him to stay, holding his position as a box of mochi formed around him. There was a single opening in this box, directly in front of him, with Kirito approaching it quickly. Kirito then leapt up, stretching a leg out aiming to deliver a kick into his torso. Tenjinsai raised an arm quickly enough to intercept, but not with strength, with kidou. He had already learned enough about his brother to know that fighting force with force was not going to work. Tenjinsai was strong, as far as most species went, but there were others who were far stronger. Kirito, was an example of someone who excelled in physique and fighting with that strength.

Tenjinsai though, he drew his power from a different source, using his massive reserves of Reiryoku he could masterfully use his kidou to supplement what he lacked in strength. Just before the kick made contact, Tenjinsai uttered an incantation and summoned a small, light-blue orb, that formed in front of his hand. "Bakudou no Hachi, Seki." Kirito's kick then made contact with the small orb, absorbing his strike and repelling the attack with a force greater then what he exerted. It would fling him backwards with the full force of any kidou that Tenjinsai would typically use. It was nothing to severely injure him, such as his hadou techniques, just a slap on the wrist. He wanted to see how creative his brother would get in his tactics. How would he overcome an opponent who outclassed him in nearly every way. There was a certain excitement that it imposed deep inside of him.

On the outside he remained cool, keeping his composure relaxed, his hands clasped inside one another over his abdomen. He would simply sit, observe, and respond to any outside stimuli Kirito offered. If Kirito could overcome Tenjinsai's defenses, then, he would turn the dial up one more notch.

Seireitei Jaunt: A Moment Of Peace - Page 2 Empty Re: Seireitei Jaunt: A Moment Of Peace

Post by Kirito Gekko Tue Aug 06, 2019 4:02 am

Being pushed back by this strange spell called Seki, Kirito regained his footing across the room from Tenjinsai and began to analyze the situation at hand. Everything seemed bleak however there had to be a way. "His defenses are astounding. As well as his ability to react and cast spells within the matter of seconds. Shinoji is out classed here as well. So If I were to pin him into a spot where I could use my devil fruit powers on him then I might be able to gain the upper hand. Alright, first time ever doing this but lets hope it works." Gripping his fists they began to glow as he then began to manipulate the entire temple around him.

Kirito's swords were wrapped by the mochi temple and pulled inside as the floor began to turn into spikes and the ceiling lowered down on Tenjinsai and turning into spikes as well. Activating his Haki he then hardened the Mochi turning it into a blackish color as they began to enclose the area. The fighting rink was now smaller but due to being able to turn into Mochi, Kirito was able to move around within it without little worry. Now it was a matter of giving Tenjinsai a run for his money or at least make him run around until his stamina ran out. Just to make sure that there was no way out of all this Kirito then pulled the exit shut into one large spike. Now that all concerns were covered he then hardened his own arms with the Haki. "Well, I guess my only strong point here is strategy. So let's see if I can keep up with you in that sense!" Making his hand and arm the size of the entire room, Kirito then used the enlarged hand to throw a single punch at Tenjinsai while he was surrounded by spikes. This was in hopes to corner him at least if not succeed in coming out on top.

Seireitei Jaunt: A Moment Of Peace - Page 2 Empty Re: Seireitei Jaunt: A Moment Of Peace

Post by Tenjinsai Bushinji Sun Aug 11, 2019 11:48 pm

Tenjinsai stood silent since the uttering of the kidou, simply observing his brother as moments continued to pass. He had to admit, seeing a glimpse now into what Kirito was capable of, he was impressed. He knew that his brother was strong, but had never truly known just how strong. His abilities were unusual and seemed to support a myriad of uses; Uses Kirito was certainly taking advantage of. If he had to be honest, Tenjinsai believed that Kirito could probably go toe to toe with most of the Captains; Perhaps even defeat them in an all out brawl. He had still only seen a taste of his brother's strength though, there had to be more up his sleeve. If this man intended to take on the world, and win, this could not be all the strength he possessed. In that regard, Tenjinsai was eager to see the full extent of this man's strength.

He stood still, his senses on alert to intercept anything that may come his way. What he did see though confused him slightly for a moment only to interest him the next. Kirito had released his blades, allowing them to fall into the ground and be absorbed by the material he had created. The area around them then began to quickly transform into a scene similar to what one would see in a cavern. Various spikes began to rise up from the floor and down from the ceiling all around the room. These protrusions were now going to make movement even more limited from what little area there was to maneuver already. Following this turn of events, the material around them then began to turn a dark gray or black in color. It was a change that Tenjinsai was certain meant something had changed, but could not know what until seeing it in action.

He could only continue to wait and watch, ready to react at a moment notice to any outside force that came toward him. In that moment, such a force then propelled itself forward toward him. Kirito had coated his arms in the same black colored material that the area around them had turned into to as well. What truly surprised him about it though was that his brother then made his fist and forearm grow exponentially. Tenjinsai's vision was completely covered by this mass of flesh that drew ever closer to him. There were several different options he could pursue at this moment, it was just a choice of which one now. Further use of bakudou would make for the easiest and most efficient action. Raising both of his arms up, Tenjinsai made a variety of gestures similar to outlining a shape around him. Once finished, a light green energy began to gather and swirl in his opened hands.

"Bakudou no Nana ju San, Tozansho." As the incantation was uttered the green energy that had been gathered spread outward, thinning and forming the shape that had been outlined. Around Tenjinsai a light green prismatic barrier formed protecting him from harm. As the barrier was formed, Kirito's fist collided with it meeting a firm resistance. The barrier was strong enough to not give under the weight of the attack, but a small crack did form. Tenjinsai stepped forward inside the small safe zone he had afforded himself and touched the damaged surface. He was genuinely surprised that Kirito had been able to damage the barrier, even if such damage was inconsequential. Perhaps whatever this strange coating he had donned was gave him enhanced physical capabilities. 'Interesting, very interesting.' There was still much that he did not known about the humans and the abilities they possessed.

As time went on, Tenjinsai's curiosities about their abilities seemed to only intensify further. Every questioned answered left two more to be asked, how remarkable they were. Smiling slightly, he removed his hand from the barrier and made a quick gesture, dismissing the barrier around him. Tenjinsai carefully placed himself down from his previously elevated position in the barrier. He then turned to his right, raising his right arm up and facing his palm out toward the wall. "Come, let's see how you do with a more open playing field." As he said this a yellow glow began to emanate from his outstretched hand. The glow gradually became an orb that crackled with energy as it continued to gain power. Once again, Tenjinsai uttered only a few words before unleashing another glimpse of his power. "Hadou no San ju Ni, Oukasen."

The yellow orb exploded outward after the utterance of it's incantation. A long, horizontal streak of energy rippled outward from his hand and tore clean through the structure in front of it. The blast continued to soar off into the distance until it collided with a large barrier that halted its path. Tenjinsai stood and simply observed for a moment and then nodded slightly, satisfied with the Kidou Corps work. It meant that they could indeed cut loose to some extent without risking too much damage to the surroundings. Walking out into the open air of Soukyoku Hill, he looked around and took in what little surroundings there were. A glance was all he could truly afford though as he turned back to face his brother. He wanted to see how he would handle fighting against him when he had full use of his mobility. It was no secret that he was faster then Kirito.

This though did not mean he was untouchable, just a hard target to hit. His brother was clearly resourceful and thought in a tactical manner. If he continued to flex the muscle inside of his head, perhaps he would find some success. Tenjinsai would of course not make it easy for him to do so, but nothing was impossible.

Seireitei Jaunt: A Moment Of Peace - Page 2 Empty Re: Seireitei Jaunt: A Moment Of Peace

Post by Kirito Gekko Sat Aug 17, 2019 11:34 am

Watching his brother escape his attack with a barrier then slicing his way out of the temple and getting outside. Kirito just stood there with a smile on his face. "Of course it wouldn't be that easy." Lifting his foot up while it was hidden behind the mochi, Kirito kicked a small hole into the ground and began to send the mochi temple down into the hole. Instead of making it look like it was just draining Kirito began to absorb some of it as a cover up. Seeing his swords in the mix, he grabbed them and placed them both on his left hip and emerged from the Mochi. Kirito made sure to absorb the last bit as a cover.

"I knew you were strong, but that kido stuff is some scary stuff. If only I could do something like that, my possibilities would be endless." Kirito then tried to activate his flames of the phoenix but the flames only appeared for a split moment then vanished. Getting a surprised look in his eye, he could only smile. "I guess, I'm finally running out of gas. Months of endless fighting, this was bound to happen. Guess it's physical combat from here on out. Gotta save what's left of my strength to use the mochi below the ground." Keeping his focus on his brother, Kirito had to mask the fact that he was finally getting tired. Placing both his hands on his swords, he knew that using them was now the only way to fight. Drawing only one of them out, Kirito then held it down at his side as he then began to think of a strategy.

Gripping the sword as hard as he could Kirito then jumped into the air as far as he could. With his other hand on his other sword he then pulled it out and moved his arms into a fan formation. "Let's see how you handle my strongest sword technique so far! Taka nami!" A great whirlwind began to fill the whole hill after Kirito spin himself and his sword around in a clockwise motion. A great whirlwind then filled the entire hill surrounding Kirito as the eye of the storm but anyone on the outside would feel the damage. It was with this attack that he could see if anything happened. If nothing happens from this attack that would only leave the Black Leg style to fight with. Hopefully he still had the strength to use Diable Jambe. If not this training exercise was over.

Seireitei Jaunt: A Moment Of Peace - Page 2 Empty Re: Seireitei Jaunt: A Moment Of Peace

Post by Tenjinsai Bushinji Sun Aug 25, 2019 4:44 pm

Tenjinsai paced slowly, moving in an arc to rotate around Kirito while still maintaining his distance. By giving himself full range of his mobility, he was of course stacking the odds against his brother; But that was what this training was about. One was certain to become stronger when facing overwhelming odds and overcoming them. While his opponent may certainly not be able to overcome Tenjinsai, he would grow stronger and smarter from this encounter. Of course though, he could not rule his brother out until their training had truly come to an end. If there was one thing he had learned on his journey through life, anything was possible. He himself came from being a banished member of a noble house. Tenjinsai had lived in squalor for many years, roaming the Rukongai with only a single friend to keep himself intact. Yet here he now stood, the Captain Commander of the Gotei Thirteen and the strongest shinigami in existence.

If he could accomplish this, anyone with the same fervor and tenacity as his brother could certainly accomplish similar deeds. Perhaps somehow, Tenjinsai would end up only being a stepping stone on Kirito's journey. There was no telling what the future would hold, only by moving forward could fate take its course. He could not help but smile softly at the thought, recognizing and acknowledging the kindred spirit inside Kirito. Such thoughts were neither here nor there now though. They were training and he could save such sentimentalities until after battle. It was clear that Kirito was up to something, though Tenjinsai could not quite put his finger on what. He had dismissed the structure he had created previously, draining into the floor it appeared. Still, the young shinigami was more then intelligent to take anything at face value. What he saw did not necessarily need to be what was truly happening.

His guard would remain high, needing to react to any unforeseen stimulus that may pop up. During this process of removing the structure it seemed his brother had reclaimed his swords as well. Tenjinsai realized as well he was unsure of how capable Kirito was with wielding those blades. He had never really seen him fight with them, certainly not for any extended period of time. It would be interesting to see how his swordsmanship stacked up against the masters of Zanjutsu he had seen. It would seem to appear that his question would be answered soon following a quick comment in regards to Tenjinsai's kidou. This opponent would fling himself upward into the air, both blades drawn, and begin to spin like a top. As he continued to spin, the velocity at which he did so increased which began to create gale force winds all around. Unlike a normal wind though these were much more forceful, sharp even.

They slowly began to gain in strength as Kirito continued spinning and began to nick away at Tenjinsai's robes. Quickly kneeling down to make his body smaller, Tenjinsai raised his right arm up and began to conjure a kidou once again. "Bakudou no San ju Kyu, Enkosen." From his hand energy expanded outward forming a shield in front of him in a circular shape. In his crouched stance the shield covered the entirety of his form protecting him from the violent winds being created by his brother. He would now simply wait him out, his shield absorbing the force of the attack and holding strong against it. He was certain that Kirito was starting to get tired, some of his moves becoming sluggish and uncoordinated. It was only a matter of time until he simply surrendered to exhaustion.

Seireitei Jaunt: A Moment Of Peace - Page 2 Empty Re: Seireitei Jaunt: A Moment Of Peace

Post by Kirito Gekko Sun Nov 17, 2019 10:54 pm

Kirito, barely managing to keep himself flying in the air, began to finally feel the battle fatigue. His thoughts began to wonder and his breathing became heavier. He knew inside his mind this next strike might be his last. However he knew that he was only capable of using Diable Jambe at this point along with the reserve of mochi in the hill. So closing his eyes he prepared himself for one last attack. This was one that had to prove his strength since it would be his last for now.

Looking down at his brother, Kirito could only smile as he kicked his right foot around as it began to generate heat. After few moments of the heat generating his right leg began to glow with fire. "This will be my last technique here, guess all that fighting I have been doing has taken its toll on me. Diable Jambe." Kirito then raised his fists up to his face and lifted his leg to where his knee was level with his chest. Letting the heat generate to the point he could at least put a scratch on his brother. That has been the end game goal of all this, put a single scratch on Tenjinsai. After finishing gathering the heat he then pushed with all his power and launched himself at Tenjinsai. Putting the leg out that has the flames out at the shield spell his brother made. Kirito then made a finger move and Mochi began to emerge from the ground and reach around Tenjinsai's feet and form fists. The fists came at him from behind, above and from both sides. He was now cornered and had no choice but to take this attack. Either way, there is a chance the scratch might be achieved.

Seireitei Jaunt: A Moment Of Peace - Page 2 Empty Re: Seireitei Jaunt: A Moment Of Peace

Post by Tenjinsai Bushinji Wed Nov 27, 2019 11:23 pm

Tenjinsai's shield held well, protecting him from the whirlwind of force that was thrust upon it. As it slowly began to dissipate, the young shinigami stood and looked upward to observe his opponent. Kirito then made somewhat of an announcement to Tenjinsai; He was burnt out and he was putting everything he had into his next attack. While he was somewhat disappointed that their fun was coming to an end just as he was starting to enjoy it, it was not over yet. His brother began to spin rapidly, his leg beginning to glow a faint red that became brighter and brighter as he did so. Soon this light turned into a small inferno that burst out from his leg. This was yet another technique Kirito possessed, and another one that Tenjinsai had not seen before. While strong himself, he was still young by his races standards. He was unlearned and not very well travelled, there was so much in the world he had never seen.

For the future he would have to make a note to study the other races and observe the fighters of the world. Perhaps this knowledge could be used to improve upon their own arts and abilities. Now though was not the time to be mystified by the unknown. This newfound technique was aimed directly at him and possessed a destructive potential that he was unaware of. As strong as he was, Tenjinsai had always held himself to never underestimate an opponent. The enemy that you underestimate could be the one that took your life. Observing the man that was now launching toward him for a moment, Tenjinsai's brain quickly formulated a plan. He stood, emerging from behind his shield, the barrier disappearing as he did so. The young shinigami now stood in full view, open to the assault of his brothers blazing attack.

His right arm began to slowly lift as he felt a strange sensation from below. It appeared that while he had been distracted by dealing with Kirito, the latter had enacted a bit of strategy to keep the shinigami in place. Mochi seeped up through the ground and engulfed a portion of his legs keeping him in place. He smirked slightly at his brother's cunning, the man being able to think clearly and ahead whilst being exhausted. Unfortunately Tenjinsai would have to disappoint his opponent and put an end to this spar on his own terms. With his right arm raised a faint yellow glow began to form in his hand. Bringing his fingers together, the young Captain snapped and released a long strip of braided energy. "Bakudou no Roku ju San, Sajō Sabaku." This yellow rope of energy snaked out toward Kirito and would snake around him, constricting his body from top to bottom and keep him from moving.

Tenjinsai was not done yet though, his arm still raised with yellow energy glowing in it, he waved his hand in a broad motion in front of him. The energy dispersed shortly after with six large triangles appeared in the air around his brother. "Bakudou no Roku ju Ichi, Rikujōkōrō." These triangles lunged toward Kirito rapidly, aiming to stab themselves into his abdomen and add to the immobility that the Sajō Sabaku began. They would keep him in place, floating in the air as they struck him; Unable to move unless he could muster the strength to destroy the kidou. Tenjinsai clapped his hands together lightly afterward, looking done at the mochi that kept him in place. Being careful of what he did, his right hand pointed downward, index finger extended with a light blue orb glowing atop it.

"Hadou no Yon, Byakurai." Tenjinsai used the thin beam of blue energy to slice through the mochi and free himself from the confinement it forced upon him. After a few moments he stepped forward, free to move about as he pleased as he then looked upward toward his sparring partner. This chapter of their lives was coming to a close, this spar being all but over. The ball was in Kirito's hands now and he would leave it up to him as to whether he was done or not. If there was one thing he had learned about his brother to this point, it was that his spirit was indomitable. If he sought to fulfill a goal that was important to him, he would allow his body to crumble before he surrendered.

Seireitei Jaunt: A Moment Of Peace - Page 2 Empty Re: Seireitei Jaunt: A Moment Of Peace

Just before he could make a impact with his attack his brother would cast two spells that would bound him in mid air and constrict him. With all of his final attacks brushed off like they were nothing, Kirito could only think how weak his attacks were and how inexperienced he was. His mochi powers were still green under the skin and his Phoenix powers were only good for turning him into a bird and healing. Perhaps if only he trained more with his mochi before he would had at least put some damage.

His leg's flames began to fizzle out and leave some charred marks on his leg as he let the flames burn for too long. Finally at the last bit of his strength, Kirito sensed out what was left of his Mochi and knew there was none left. Giving a small smile on his face Kirito knew he was finally out of gas and could barely think anymore. He was bested by his own brother who had many years of experience under his belt and hopefully someday he would be able to reach that level as well. Kirito tried to move but his body was done. The limit of what he could do was reached. He began to slowly fall asleep as he could no longer hold his eyes open. It was time to rest.
