Training of oneself, catch up to the ones with power

Arriving to some mountain range after a long period of traveling, both Kirito and Nokoreda knew they were far enough to keep from damaging any civilians. It was time for training to begin as Nokoreda went off to the side to lean on a rock as Kirito stood ready to train.

No devil fruit powers and no Haki for now. It was time to train his main powers as a human before expanding on other powers. In the spar match with Tenjinsai those were his weakest points, as well as his inability to keep up with Tenjinsai's speeds. He could even tell his brother was holding back during that spar. It was an embarrassment that he was unable to even force his brother to seventy-five percent strength. This training was going to change that, making himself stronger and faster than before. Even his brother will notice his growth by their next battle.

Placing his hand on the Sandai Kitetsu, it was time to try and practice with one sword style. It was a massive weak point in his fighting style to purely rely on a two sword style. The time had come to finally improve upon his sword skills and take them up to the next level. Perhaps even take on a new sword style as well that can utilize his strength. That would have to come with more time unfortunately as now was to master the powers he had as of the moment.

Drawing out the Sandai Kitetsu, Kirito then looked around for a good spot to begin. Standing before a large mountain he then smirked a little feeling that he should tear up the mountain before he finished his training. Looking back at Nokoreda, Kirito then signaled for him to stay back.

Only nodding Nokoreda just found a spot to sit down and just observed from a distance. He was curious to see what Kirito's powers were. They had to be impressive for the Captain Commander to bring him to this world for training. Only time could tell from this point forward. "Perhaps I should prepare a meal or camp for us. It is bound to get dark before he decides to call it a night." Nokoreda then just started to gather sticks to prepare a fire. Looking up he could see Kirito getting into a fighting stance. "Now show me your strength human, let me see why our Captain Commander has chosen to help you."

Drawing out his sword Kirito only lunged at a boulder before him and began to sheath his own sword. Once the sword was fully enclosed into the sheath the rock began to make cracking noises. Without even making a simple move the boulder then split in half and smacked into the ground with a loud thud.

"Just what was that attack just now? That was simply amazing and fast." Nokoreda was then interrupted by Kirito just looking over at him with a blank expression on his face. This stopped Nokoreda in his tracks as he knew that he was not going to get an answer from him. Kirito was in a zone per say where he was not going to pay any attention to the surrounding area. This was only the start to the training. Learning more sword control was in his path.

Kirito just continued to look at Nokoreda while he had a shocked expression on his face. Only sighing, Kirito knew this guy had never seen someone this strong before except for Tenjinsai. Perhaps this was an opportunity to show off what strength he did have and master even more to gain Nokoreda's support as well. It would also be the perfect time to gain the support of other Shinigami as well. He could tell even though the Captains agreed there was still some hostility towards the idea of working together. This should fix everything so it would make his brother's job easier.

"Nokoreda, what you saw is just a base scale of my ability. Continue to watch. I will show you why the Captain Commander gave me his blessing in assisting with my war." He then stepped forward and placed his hand back onto his sword.

Nokoreda only stood there with a shocked look in his eyes. He was not sure what Kirito was trying to prove here since everyone followed the Captain Commander without a second question. However perhaps it would pay off to see what this human could do in this time. Even at a lower scale the power of the attack alone was impressive. Perhaps he had more to show later on.

Holding his hand firmly on his sword, Kirito began to look around and make sure nothing was too close by. As this next attack was going to be a projectile attack. Depending on its range, nothing could get hurt within a small area around here. However if it turns into something much larger than expected then it could be dangerous. It did not look like Nokoreda could form a barrier like Tenjinsai could. It was not a huge concern, especially since it was only going to be done with one sword instead of two or three. Drawing his sword with this in mind, Kirito then thrust it as hard as he could through the air causing it to form a vortex of power slicing anything in its path. This technique was called, Sanjuroku Pound Ho. This was most likely one of the strongest abilities in Kirito's arsenal right now. This was going to be his ace in the hole for now as well.

Nokoreda just stood there with a shocked look on his face as he then looked at the damaged caused by the technique. It nearly leveled an entire mountain with one single swing. He now knew why the Captain Commander chose to aid this human in the war even though it had nothing to do with the Soul Society. If this man was capable of this much and was not at full strength, he might be able to not only save the world of the living but also help Soul Society. Nokoreda was now fully convinced to Kirito's cause and was now going to help him get his strength up as much as possible. After finishing his examination of Kirito's power, Nokoreda then began to set up a camp fire to cook some food. Being the cook and camp handler, Nokoreda knew that this was one of the things he could do to help at this time.

Night quickly turned into morning as Kirito shook himself awake. The meal Nokoreda made was delicious and the two may have even become friends at this point. Taking a quick look around he noticed that Nokoreda was missing. However this did not incite panic as he was somewhat strong like himself. So this was nothing to worry about. He then looked over at a stone and saw a notice carved into it.

"Kirito, Something urgent came up. I have to go report for duty once again. I shall return later once things calm down. There is food left for you, train hard. ~Nokoreda."

Only getting a grin on his face Kirito knew what this meant. The soul society was running into an issue and were going to handle it promptly. This made him jealous of the ability the shinigami had to take care of things like they did. If only he was stronger, the human world wouldn't be in such danger. Picking up all three of his swords, Kirito just placed them back on his left hip and began to walk towards the spot where he would train. It was not a massive question on what to train with now. His latest techniques have been all one sword style, where as he had three here and no abilities at all with the three of them put together. This would increase his power even further if he could push past this hurdle and make something out of the three of them. However he knew that the time to train that was going to have to wait.

Since waking up his haki had been going insane. He could sense what seemed to be three strong shinigami withering in pain and the presence of others had vanished. All seemed strong like the group of captains that gathered when he pleaded his case to the shinigami. Now it seemed like a small chunk of them have vanished. Something was going on and he could sense it. Despite this he knew walking into the captains area dressed like this in rags almost wouldn't look good for himself or his brother. In this moment maybe getting some more training done would serve a good purpose. Training his Haki in this moment would be best. The Kenbunshoku Haki allowed him to raise his senses by a margin but it was not enough for him to use in combat. He needed to get stronger, much stronger with it.

There was not much choice in the matter but to attempt to feel out what had happened. Perhaps the perceptive abilities of the Kenbunshoku Haki was able to do so. There was even a rumor in the past that if you master Kenbunshoku haki well enough you could see into the future. This was apparent with Katakuri of the Big Mom Pirates and Monkey D Luffy of the Straw Hat Pirates. Both were masters of Kenbunshoku haki and were powerful warriors as well. This only further the need to master this haki as well as the other one. Unfortunately the most strongest of haki was not able to be learned and had to be inherited at birth. That one would come in massive handy when takin on the Marine forces. However there was a situation at hand that needed to be felt out. No time to be worrying about a power that cannot be mastered.

"Damnit Nokoreda, why did you have to go back now of all times. I can't even communicate with the other Shinigami like you can. Why did you go back without me." Kirito thought this out in frustration. He knew that he could just fly back and try to help but he knew he wasn't strong enough yet. He need to at least perfect his Haki to even be able to help. All he could do for now was train and hope that when he did go back he could be of help.

Finding a spot to sit on the ground, Kirito closed his eyes and began to feel out the situation with his haki. In the distance he found a large building with the number four on it. He knew this was the hospital barracks that he stayed at after his sparring match with Tenjinsai. Inside there were many people in there, many gathered around rooms that had a bed but with no power emitting from them. There was three of them like that. This perhaps had to be the ones who passed away. Something had to of happened, it seemed like three funerals were taking place in there. He couldn't make out the faces or ranks of the ones who passed but he could see the numbers on their sheets, Eleven, Six and Thirteen.

They had to of been high ranking officers not just regular officers. Could they be captains like his brother? It was heavily unknown who these people were. However it was confirmed that they were dead. This meant a huge threat was out there and something dangerous was coming. It had to be more than the World Government out there causing this, they were capable of mass destruction but to take on a Captain rank officer and kill him was beyond them. As far as Kirito knew and this was frustrating him. How much stronger have they gotten since all the main powerhouses died? Only a few years had passed since that event and now many things seem different from before. So much change was happening while Kirito was just sitting around not even getting stronger. If these thoughts were true though, it meant that not only is the World Government a threat to the humans, they also became a threat to the Shinigami. Perhaps even more people than that were now in danger. This was not good, no matter how or who looked at this. There was a small glimmer of hope however. Out of the corner of his senses he was able to sense two others in the rooms nearby. Both seemed to be heavily injured but looked to be almost the same rank as the deceased. "Survivors....." Kirito felt more hope return to him when discovering this. If they were really there when something happened perhaps going to them would be the best thing. However Kirito knew that he needed to fully master a few more things before going there. With his Phoenix devil fruit he could heal them enough to regain conscious but they would be in no condition to fight. It would mean Kirito would have to step into their place and fight for them. This is what needed to be done.

Opening his eyes, Kirito felt a slight form of exhaustion come over him. This was the first time he had ever used his Kenbunshoku Haki in such a manner and for such a period of time as well. However just from what he could see, it was a fact that something dangerous was around the corner. Something that needed to be snuffed out quickly before anything worse could happen. Right now it was all just bad timing, with them offering to help against the World Government now losing three of their own and two others wounded. With his sensory abilities now heightened he might be able to help some more with this, however he wanted to secure at least some more just for extra insurance. This wasn't just a normal battle to win, it was a fight for survival and their ways of life. Who knew where this was going to end up but things could not be left how they were.

"No matter what happened, it does appear that we are about to start another long battle no matter who it is. This time they drew blood first so we must act as soon as we can." Kirito felt these issues to be true and needed to be handled swiftly. Then out of the corner of his eye he then sensed someone in the area that wasn't Shinigami or even of these lands. This could mean someone was watching him. Either way, they weren't going to be able to whiteness any serious training other than the Haki itself. Which is nothing too exposing. So he decided to ignore it for now and keep going with his training. He decided his next course of action was the learn the emotion sensing aspect of the Kenbunshoku Haki. It would help him sense out how many spies there were and if he could take them on in his current state. Things were starting to get dangerous and would prove to be a massive issue if it continued. Kirito needed to go heal the injured and try to get answers quick before this gets out of hand. He sat there and closed his eyes once again and began to feel through the haki. Will this succeed it was unknown for now. However, it needed to be done.

With his senses now heightened, Kirito knew that something needed to be done. Those injured officers and the ones who died all had valuable information that they needed to hand over. There was something deep and evil lurked around but Kirito had to go see Tenjinsai first so that he could function here in the Soul Society without worry. As things stood there was only going to be more injuries and death.

Standing up quickly, Kirito began to disembark off to where Tenjinsai was as he knew that the two of them needed to have a talk. It was time perhaps a war did begin to save the innocent from further death. Activating his flames he began to fly away in the direction he needed to go. Disappearing from his training field, he only left behind his tent and some food as he intended to return after handling this situation. It wasn't going to take long, he hoped.
