Kamashi Clan (Shinigami)

The Kamashi Clan is considered one of the Four Great Noble Families, gaining their status during the period of Shimada Kamashi due to his great feats as not only the Captain of Squad 3 but also for the feats as the leader of the Clan.

The Kamashi Clan has an ancient History dating as far back as the founding of the Gotei 13 with many of the original members of the Clan serving under great names of the early generation. The great names being Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto and Yachiru Unohana. It was during this time that the clan became to become well known and respected for their member's strength and ability to adapt. Despite them serving under those who were famous at the time, their most dominant precense is in Squad 3 which many of the members of the clan become its Captain. Due to the Clan's high standing within Soul Society, they are trusted to guard and protect many objects of history.

Clan Structure:

The Kamashi Clan is set up in a similar manner to other Noble families within the Soul society. They have a clan head and it is typically passed down to first born son of the current head while others are labeled as Vassals that serve the Clan head.

Family Members:

Kaien Kamashi (1st family head) *Deceased*- Founding member of the Kamashi family, Loyal to Shigekuni Yamamoto during the early years of the Gotei 13. Husband of Mary Kamashi and Father of Renji Kamashi, Kirinji Kamashi and Yuzu Kamashi. During the founding of the Gotei 13 he was not present at the start but was later invited to join after the death of Yuzu Kamashi and took on the title of 9th seat of Squad 1.

Mary Kamashi *Deceased*- First non combatant of the Kamashi family. Wife of Kaien Kamashi and mother of Renji Kamashi, Kirinji Kamashi. She dies some years before Kirinji of an unknown disease. She was buried along side her husband Kaien and daughter Yuzu.

Renji Kamashi *Unknown*- Natural combatant of the family and nearly killed Kaien Kamashi during a training period when he was then trained to join the Shinigami Academy then was tasked with hunting down a mass murderer Yachiru Unohana having a fight to the death with her. He was however unable to succeed in his mission and nearly died. Was present during the founding of the Gotei 13 and accepted the position as 3rd Seat of Squad 11 during its founding. He was the very first person to achieve the rank of 3rd seat. After Kirinji Kamashi passed away, Renji seemed to have slowly faded into the background. Not being a successor of the family he felt that after his brother's death he no longer needed to be in the limelight and disappeared. It is thought he is still alive in the modern age or passed away and was never announced. It is unknown.

Yuzu Kamashi *Deceased*- The youngest child of Kaien Kamashi and Mary Kamashi. She didn't show much promise as a Shinigami but joined anyway to gain knowledge and assist them from the sidelines. She was however killed on an expodition without having children. Her end of the family tree ended with her.

Kirinji Kamashi (2nd Family Head) *Deceased*- The first born son of Kaien and Mary, being the first born he was chosen as the successor of the family and began to be trained as an official noble. However despite this noble training he was also trained in the art of becoming a Shinigami and proved to be quite the genius. This was even proven even more by him becoming the 2nd ever Captain of the 3rd Squad standing strong along with most of the captains of the time. He had a wife whos name is currently lost and the two had a son named Shimada Kamashi who also inherited Squad 3 from Kirinji and the Head of the Kamashi family upon his death. He died of the same disease as his mother Mary and is buried on the Kamashi clan compound along with his parents and sister.

Hisana Kamashi *Deceased*- Not much is known about her. Many records of the clan had been lost after a massive hollow invasion happened during Kirinji's reign as clan head. She is the mother of Shimada and Hiyori and died sometime after Kirinji as there are two headstones where Kirinji was laid to rest. It is assumed at this point but she is presumed dead.

Shimada Kamashi (3rd Family Head) *Deceased*- Being the only Child of Kirinji Kamashi, he naturally inherited the clan and 3rd Squad from him upon his death. Being considered almost a rival for his father if not an equal, he ran the squad as well as the clan with high encouragement not only from Yamamoto himself but from Central 46. Achieving Shikai at a very young age and then getting Bankai shortly after getting the rank of Vice Captain of Squad 3 under his father Kirinji. He served as captain of Squad 3 for 91 years before dying, sacrificing himself to save the men in his squad from a hollow attack. He had a wife named Kayo who was once a loyal servant of the Kamashi family since he was a small child and she was just a young girl as well. The two had a son named Sojun Kamashi who inherited the Kamashi family but during much of his time, the family remained behind the scenes but still had a standing in Squad 3.

Yachiru Kamashi *Dead*- Being the second born of Kirinji and his wife, also their only Daughter, she was held in high regards in terms to her studies and strength she added to the clan. She was once part of Squad 3 along side her brother but soon retired after his death to help serve the clan along side Mai. However unlike her sister in law she remains as a dominant member of the Clan and serves as an advisor to the Clan head. She has children but only few have a dominant role within the Kamashi clan. (They will be listed in other members list. This list is only to show dominant members of the clan.)

Mai Kamashi *Unknown status*- Once a loyal servant of the Kamashi family as a child the same age as Shimada Kamashi, the two became very close and he began to pull her away from the work and start courting her to become his future wife. He succeeded in this as once they both became young adults she agreed to marry him and the two soon had a son shortly after their wedding. This son was named Sojun Kamashi. Despite being in the Kamashi family Shimada and Mai had a different way of raising their child in a more carefree environment. After Sojun joined the Gotei 13 and Shimada had passed away Mai began to run the behind the scenes of the Kamashi family while Sojun became the new Head of the family. It is believed she is still alive to this day but no longer serves a dominant role.

Sojun Kamashi (4th Family Head) *Alive*- Born as the only child of Shimada and Kayo Kamashi, Sojun was held as the pride of the Kamashi family. He was raised to train to become a Shinigami from a young age. He showed some promise but only with leadership skills and strength. He lacked the raw power that Shimada had at a young age and didn't show much interest in the clan's standing like his parents did. He wanted to Lead squad 3 and that was mostly it. He held little interest in the family's standing but still upheld it for his parent's sake. Once his son Curio was born, he was ready to pass the clan on so he could continue to lead Squad 3 without distractions.

Unammed Wife "Sojun's wife" *Deceased*- Not much is said about her other than she is the mother of Curio Kamashi and Wife of Sojun Kamashi. She died during child birth, without accomplishing much within the clan thus not much being listed for her. To protect his son from the pain of losing his mother, Sojun purposely erased her name from the clan records to spare him of the pain.

Curio Kamashi (In line to be 5th Head) *Alive*- Son of Sojun and an unammed mother in the Kamashi family and is next in line to be the 5th head of the family.
