Hanagumi Kurai

Kurai was a different type of ninja from your typical ninja from Konoha village. She had the blood of Indra coursing through her and she knew from a young age that she was different from most of the people around her. This caused her to outcast herself and to look out only for her well being.  She was also an orphan. Neither of her parents were alive and she was unable to remember either. They both apparently disappeared one day without a trace and that was that. She was an orphan and that was that. No relatives or anything as apparently her parents moved there from some unknown location. However the village was kind enough to provide her with a home and basic supplies as long as she attended the academy.

So the years passed and she began to develop her abilities as a ninja. Her bloodline growing stronger as the years passed. She began to see shapes, monsters, and various other things that seemed to live within the darkness. Soon they moved to her will if she so desired as if she were the master of the shadows. She had asked before about the shadows and knew what she saw and could do were not normal. Thus she kept it a secret.

One day as she was heading home from school the teacher's room was still slightly ajar. She heard voices coming from within and realized they were talking about her. "Shame- It seems her talents aren't blooming. She's normal and must of not received any bloodline from her parents." Another voice spoke in response, "What can you do? You win some and lose some. At the very least it seems her ninjitsu control and intellect is quite good. She should still be useful to the village." The other voice spoke up again. "Hanagumi Kurai, huh? Her scores are at least chuunin level yet she's in the academy. Her brilliance is at least a kin to some of the greatest ninjas. Promote her to genin. It doesn't matter if she has the bloodline or not."

Just like that she was no longer a student, but a genin. However she learned one additional piece of information as she eavesdropped. Her bloodline was special. Special enough that she learned a glimmer of the truth behind her parents and why the village took care of her. Thus it motivated to keep her bloodline a secret in front of others, but practiced it in secret.

Time passed once more and eventually she was assigned to a squad with a jounin that went by the name of Suzuki Shiro. This man was meant to be her teacher and guide her for the future. He looked upon her with a gaze that treated her with respect. However she was the youngest in the squad and the others did not feel themselves equal, but superior.  She then became the target of ridicule and bullying by her team mates.

During such incident it went too far. One of them threw a rock at her from behind and hit her in the head causing her to bleed. Almost on pure instinct she instructed the shadows to kill and kill they did. They were only beginner genin and they had no chance against the shadow like chakra that pierced their bodies in numerous places. The only thing that could still be seen on their faces was fear and shock as the life vanished from their eyes. "Ah... It was you two..." She said as she began to panic realizing what she had done. She had just killed her two team mates. She was beginning to panic as this was a crime. "They shouldn't of throw the rock at me! It's their own fault!" She said loudly to herself as tears came to her eyes.

Eventually the event was covered up for one reason or another and she eventually became chuunin through her own power. No one the wiser about her true abilities within her village.
