Personality: Ikazuchi can be described as calm. Outwardly he expresses himself like any other, but internally he calmly assesses the situation. Despite that calm nature, at his core he is straightforward and prideful who follows his own moral code. His pride originates from a clear understanding of his abilities, and belief in what he has and will accomplish.

Despite that overflowing pride he generally acts modestly, and treats people with equal respect. He could even be described as approachable due to never being ruled by vanity. He doesn’t see himself as above others, but at the same time he won’t belittle himself. The kind of pride he possesses allows him to face anyone as an equal including kings and emperors. Even if the heavens wish for him to kneel he will not be willing.

Unfortunately, like many prideful people it can be easy to press his buttons at times. Most of the time due to his personality he becomes a man of action, striking first and asking questions later. What is frightening is that unless he is willing to express it the anger can be hidden underneath a facade of calmness.

Appearance: Ikazuchi is roughly six feet and two inches tall and weighs roughly two hundred pounds. He has a sturdy athletic physique and a body covered in lean muscle suitable for a fighter. He has dark brown hair that slightly curls only a few inches in length. His bangs don’t obstruct his vision while being just outside of his line of sight. His ears are slightly covered by his hair, and overall it can be considered styled short. His eyes are a dark, clear blue with an electrifying bright glint and slitted pupils. His teeth can be considered average in all aspects aside from the slightly abnormal canines which appear sharper than average. The only visible scar is an inch long scar on his left temple.

His clothing can only be called plain as he prefers to wear a fitting black shirt with a long Left sleeve and no right sleeve, black pants suitable for combat, and boots with a silver accent across the front. On his left shoulder is a silver pauldron. On the straps holding the pauldron in place on his chest and back are plates over the position of his heart. On his hands are gloves with thin plates on the back of his hand. At his waist a pair of nearly identical swords (jian) hang with on on each side attached to a leather belt.

Bio: At the early age of five Ikazuchi came into contact with bladesmithing and swordsmanship. The bladesmithing technique itself was skilled, but relatively ordinary. What set it apart from others was the accompanying Runic Refining magic that turned the ordinary weapons extraordinary. What time wasn’t spent mastering those skills was spent practicing swordsmanship. His teacher taught him believing that only a man who wielding a sword could craft a great sword. The man Ikazuchi called teacher was also the only guardian he had as he was orphaned too young to remember his parents while being left with nothing to reunite him with them.

Thankfully, the young boy grew to love both bladesmithing and swordsmanship throwing himself wholeheartedly into learning all that he could. Finally, on his twentieth birthday he had learned all of the various techniques that his teacher could offer. Over the course of fifteen years he became the pride of the man who raised him. Not long after Ikazuchi’s twentieth birthday a mysterious group began to harass his teacher for weapons.

After running an errand one day Ikazuchi while returning home witnessed the death of teacher. During these two years he had come to understand that the backer of the mysterious customers was actually the World Government. With a newfound hatred Ikazuchi left that day on a journey to obtain strength.

Magic Description: This type of magic grants the user the ability to engrave or imprint runes onto various things to strengthen and refine the quality of by channeling pure ethernano into, and through it potentially causing mutations in other magic. Traditionally, this magic was only applied to weapons thus making other applications unknown.

Character Usage: Initially this magic can only be considered a crafting supplement to increase the quality of weapons and items being passed down since long ago. After a certain incident he will decide to attempt to apply these runes to himself. (More info in ability/spell section.)

Magic: Lightning Dragon Slayer Magic (Second Origin Magic)

Element: Lightning

Magic Description: This type of magic allows the user to incorporate lightning into their body gaining abilities associated with lightning dragons including heightened senses. The user will have their body’s affinity for lightning increased to the highest level being able to produce, manipulate, and even devour the element itself to recover strength. Lightning of a higher quality requires specific circumstances to be devoured while it is completely impossible to devour lightning produced by their own magic. Lightning itself as an element can numb, paralyze, or even completely burn something depending on the strength of the user and what is receiving the attack.

Character Usage: Compared to a typical dragon slayer the method of learning can be considered unique, and his usage is equally unique compared to a traditional slayer. His fighting style had already developed down the path of swordsmanship, thus his techniques also followed that path rather than the path of hand to hand combat.

Spells:

-First Release-

(2 Slots)Slayer Sword Law(passive): The unique combination of his experience and magic created a unique sword style achievable only by someone who has trained in his swordsmanship, as well as both Runic Refinement and Lightning Slayer Magic. The foundation of the technique is ultimately The Killing Sword style he had been trained in alongside his bladesmithing techniques. “To craft the best weapon, one must understand how to wield one.” The Killing Sword style is achieved by progressing from a simple swing of a sword, to mastering techniques, and finally to turning all swings into something simple that can also transition freely into any type of attack possible. The role that the Lightning Dragon Slayer Magic plays is ultimately a power supplement for the attacks. First, internally it allows for the instant acceleration of his attacks bypassing the requirement to build up momentum. Second, the pure speed and destruction of lightning is incorporated into the attacks filling deficiencies in range and damage.

Stats/Combat System Effects:
-Skills: Tier 4 Weapons (Swords), Tier 2 Battle Analysis, Tier 2 Analysis (The reason both analysis types appear here is because they are both important to swordsmanship as one focuses on techniques and the other weak points based on their description.)

-Effects: First, we will talk about acceleration. Normally for an attack to reach full speed it would build up a certain amount of momentum. Instant acceleration of attacks in this bypasses that momentum build up going straight to full speed. Second, energy is used to supplement the attacks in various ways. For example, the explosive power of strikes. Even if outwardly the energy doesn't explode, it is present in the weapon giving it force. This doesn't mean that he will be able to hold up a building, but he could theoretically cut through it. There is also the aspect of producing long range slashes by manipulating the energy to trace the orbit that his slash would follow through energy manipulation as well as the influence of the weapon itself.

Lightning Refinement: After obtaining Lightning Dragon Slayer magic Ikazuchi gradually became aware of the different qualities of elements. By combining the concept of his Runic Refinement Magic to his newfound ability to devour lightning he gained the ability to upgrade the quality of his lightning by devouring higher quality lightning and using it as the base to refine his own and increase the quality.

Stats/Combat System Effects:
-Skills: Tier 3 Energy Proficiency

-Effects: This ability makes it possible to upgrade his lightning quality equal to and even beyond God Slayer Lightning, assuming he encounters it and is strong enough to not be destroyed by it. The skill effect is due to the great control ability required to perform these actions.

-Second Release-

(3 Slots)Body Refinement(passive): An unconventional use of the Runic Refinement magic is to apply the runes to the user’s body. The bones, tendons, and organs can all be engraved with Ethernano runes. A side-effect of the magic not being meant for the body is that using the technique causes excruciating pain. Interrupting the runic carving can cause damage to that particular area.  

-Bones: The skeleton serves as the foundation for the body and this spell. After all of the bones are engraved they take on a role similar to lacrima storing Ethernano. These changes as a result greatly increase the durability the the skeleton itself. The uses in combat aren’t apparent, however this offers a larger energy reserve while also allowing his body to absorb greater damage. Due to the bone marrow being filled with the raw energy it seeps into the blood gradually strengthening the flesh.

-Tendons: The tendons will always be a weak point in the body, and as such they became a focal point. They are much smaller in space and can’t accommodate energy in the same way so they are only strengthened to be able to endure more than average for someone of similar strength.

-Organs: By strengthening the organs the user’s body is able to protect against internal damage while improving the overall function of them. The main benefits would be heightened five senses as well as being able to support bodily function almost entirely off of energy.

-Dragon Slayer Mutations: There are two apparent mutations that occurred due to obtaining dragon slayer magic after refining the body. First, the already heightened senses from refinement mutated further. Specifically sight, smell, and hearing improved further.

Stats/Combat System Effects:
-Skills:Tier 3 Pain Tolerance (Due to immense pain required to apply to himself.), Tier 3 Anti-Stealth, Tier 2 Energy Sensing (Anti-Stealth and Energy Sensing are the only way to express the heightened senses granted due to the two magics.) [Anti-Stealth and Energy Sensing according to their information only have use against stealth and gauging strength meaning that they are also extremely situational which is why the tier is on the higher side while being built off of the canon description of Dragon Slayers having excessive senses.]
-Effects: The only effect on stats is that this would be an increased stamina (I will let the person approving mod decide how much.) and a story effect would be the mentioned ability to function the body on energy.


-Third Release-

Eyes of the Dragon King: As the refinement of his eyes achieved great success a new mutation occurred granting them a new ability. That ability is the ability to see through all illusions and perception altering techniques.

Stats/Combat System Effects: It’s pretty clear that this is solely to protect against illusions and perception altering abilities. A swordsman who can’t judge distance and accurately strike is destined to fail.

Lightning Steps: The stronger his enemies became, the more the need for an actual movement technique became. Following the philosophy of simplicity that he gained from his sword style he began to develop a movement technique to match. Emphasis being placed on efficiency and practicality he was able to incorporate the instant acceleration of lightning in to each of his movements fluidly. After fully developing this ability it became apparent that he could use a large amount of lightning to instant move at a speed far faster than normal.

Stats/Combat System Effects: This ability makes it possible to at any given moment move at the maximum possible speed. As an ability that’s not all that much and is basically a high speed movement technique, but the ability to guarantee a dodge is very important. That’s exactly what it’s main purpose is. The dodge can be used once in a post with a three post cooldown.

(2 slots)Tribulation: This is ability was ultimately developed as a trump card for when he is down and out. Whether it be when he is surrounded or simply unable to continue. This ability causes the weather to rapidly change as he uses the Ethernano in his body to call down a massive rain of natural lightning.

Stats/Combat System Effects: This ability serves as an ultimate attack and a life saving ability. While it doesn’t rapidly heal, it does offer a large amount of energy to devour and replenish strength or deal a large amount of AOE damage over a space which grows in scale based on the energy stat. What that means is that in there is likely some mention of destruction scale in most cases and it would match that.

Bypasses the Element quality possessed by God Slayers permitting like element energy from them to be devoured unless significantly stronger (Opponents Energy > 125% of User Energy). Energy is increased by +5.
