Save the Land of Z

Kirito finally arrived on the Land of z in some bamboo forest looking place. This place was so remote he was not sure where the hell he was. Using his haki, he was able to sense some people nearby. Perhaps these were citizens of the land. This would make a good chance to get close to the locals and get answers.

Making his move over the hills, Kirito laid on the ground and peeked over the hill. Looking over there was a small village. There was people gathering food on a table in between some houses. No signs of marines anywhere. This was a good sign. Perhaps it was his chance to set up a base somewhere to operate from. This was a very good thought to work with. Despite not knowing the area he just knew that the marines had to be near by. Just then Kirito heard some footsteps behind him. A dark shadow then appeared over him as he was looking down at the village.

"Just who are you? Why are you looking down at my village?" Kirito perked up and looked behind him and saw a tall green skinned man standing there. Jumping to his feet, Kirito moved out of view from the village. "You see I am Kirito Gekko, from the Kingdom of Providence. I came here to kill people from my world who invaded your lands here." The green man got a surprised look on his face. It was as if he had no idea what these people were.

Kirito then raised his finger and pulled out a picture of Marines that he ran into on Thriller Bark. This peaked the Green man's interest. He then looked at the picture closer and knew of the uniform instantly. "If it is those people you are looking for they have taken over South City and West City. So far the rest are still safe." Kirito then put the picture back into his pocket and then looked at the Green man. "So does that mean that these lands have resistance to them?" He nodded and began to walk away as Kirito followed.

Once they both closer to the cave the Green man turned to Kirito and spoke to him. "By the way my name is Mar, I'm a Namekian. I came here to reestablish connection with Earth and Planet Namek. However due to those people showing up, it has proven impossible." Kirito moved to walked beside Mar as he then entered a cave and sat down on a rock. "So you came here from a different planet? That is the first I've heard of it." Mar just sighed and looked at the ground. He looked as if he was troubled by everything that was happening. Kirito knew all too well about the Marines and what they were capable of. Especially since they launched that attack on Thriller Bark. That time was just one screw up after another. With those strange shinigami showing up to one of them actually wiping out over half of the crew with a lift of a finger. Kirito began to feel frustrated.

Kirito sat on another rock just across from the Namekian and looked at him. Perhaps there was a way to help out and recruit him to help. With this land in trouble, it would be possible to recruit Mar into fighting for its freedom. However the fact that he wasn't from this planet made it seem difficult for him to convince the Namekian to join in. This wasn't his fight but it seemed to be keeping him here. Perhaps it has something to do with this reestablishment that he was talking about. Maybe there was something he needed to do but couldn't get there.

Finally Kirito perked up and looked directly at Mar. "What if we teamed up and defeated those marines? I feel between us we could do it!" He just looked away and stood up and looked outside. "Many humans have tried to fight back and they were all killed instantly. Those marines you speak of have weapons capable of killing anyone. Even those with a trained body and mind." This came as a shock to Kirito. The marines he knew did not have that great of technology. The most advanced thing they had at hand was the Pacifistas. Those however vanished along with all the well known people. So if they had the technology to kill super powered humans, someone had to be helping them. The question was, who? In this land everything was unknown to Kirito and apparently to Mar as well. They had to find out where they were getting this technology from and fast.

Both were in the middle of some deep thought until some footsteps were heard. Kirito stood up and placed his hand on a sword with Mar raising his arm to stop him. "Lower your weapon, it is my allies that I made here on Earth." Right after he said that two men stepped into the light and revealed to be two monks who had weapons on their backs. One of them walked forward and sat down in front of both myself and Mar. He wasted no time before speaking to us both. "Sorry Mar, those foreigners are getting closer to Central City. At this rate we might not be able to stop them for much longer." Mar got a shocked look on his face. It was in that moment I understood that was a bad thing. Deciding to listen to more Kirito sat back down to try and pry for more information.

"Mar sir, we scouted the area just outside of Central City. Things are not looking good. The military is doing their best to hold them back but at this rate sir, we may not last much longer." Both of these monks just sat there with long faces. This had to be serious if even people trained in the martial arts was losing. Mar just stood up and placed his hand on the human's shoulder and walked outside for a moment. Kirito just sat there and looked at the monks who looked ashamed of themselves. Standing up he knew that there was something he had to do. "The marines are probably using technology from this land mixed with some from my own lands. It would explain why it is so lethal." He was thinking out loud hoping someone would pitch in an idea where they could make some sense of this entire situation.

One of the monks looked up and began thinking. "Perhaps it has something to do with the old Red Ribbon Army. I heard that a small boy defeated them in the past but who knows how many of their officers and officials survived and went on to finish the work they were doing." Kirito looked confused as to what this Ribbon army was and how they could be defeated by a small child. They couldn't be that strong if they were beaten by a boy barely out of diapers. However what they said did make sense. If this Red Ribbon group was giving out weapons from this land to the already beefed Marines then Kirito could only imagine their destructive power right now. The most highest tech thing they had originally was flintlock pistols and muskets. However now that they are here they might be able to have access to more modern like weapons of destruction. Their defeat soon was necessary, this onslaught of power needed to be put to an end.

After completing that thought large explosions started to erupt from near the village below began to appear. Mar, myself and the two monks stood there in shock. Somehow the Marines followed them here and now were launching an attack. The Namekian was the first to make a move and flew to the village without even thinking. "Mar! Hold on! It's too dangerous!" Kirito shouted that as loud as he could but it fell on deaf ears. Kirito wasted no time activating his flames and began to lunge into the sky. "Both of you stay here! You would only get hurt if you followed us!" Wasting no time Kirito went after Mar, hoping to catch him before something bad happened. The explosions were getting worse even some sense of devil fruit powers were starting to show themselves. Kirito's Haki was going crazy with all the enemies in the area. Several innocent people were already dead and Mar was launching himself right into that. He had to hurry and stop Mar before things got too much for him. Turning into his full Phoenix form, Kirito rushed at his full speed.

---Mar's Adventure---
Mar managed to make it to the village within a matter of moments to see a group of Marines aiming to attack women and children. Jumping at them with his full speed he then kicked the front soldiers away and punched the last of them to the ground. Turning back to the women and children he wasted no time telling them what he had to say. "Quickly get out of here! Do not look back, just run!" They all turned towards a back alley and ran as fast as they could. Just out of the corner of his eye, Mar saw a soldier try to raise his gun toward them. Stretching out his left arm he grabbed the soldier by the throat and pulled him towards himself. Pulling his right arm back he then threw a full power punch that went straight through the Marine killing him instantly. Mar then threw the corpse on the ground and charged into another area where another battle was taking place.

As soon as he arrived, the green man soon discovered that he just walked into a slaughter fest. These marines were just killing anyone they came across. This act was unforgivable. Mar could no longer hold back his anger towards these people who had no care for any life. Finally letting his anger boil to the top, Mar's power began to show itself. The earth began to shake under the force of his power which caused many Marines to fall to the ground. Since there was no life left in this area, Mar felt it was only right to end this in one massive attack. Placing his hands together he then began to charge his power between his hands. "You will all pay for what you did to these people! Execution Beam!" He then fired the energy he built up and it vaporized all of the Marines in front of him. Standing there catching his breath, Mar then got down to one knee and began to ponder if there was more in the area.

Getting back up Mar then was stopped in his tracks. Feeling some intense heat, as if the sun was right next to him. He then turned to see a man covered in Magma standing there. Mar only looked at him in shock as the man began to get closer.

Kirito was flying as fast as he could to try and catch up to Mar. Stopping about mid way, he then sensed a large power coming from Mar's direction. Getting a shocked look on his face he could only watch in horror as a large light appeared in the village. "Just what the hell is happening over there?" Stopping in mid air Kirito just stood there in awe. The power coming from Mar was on a whole different level than what he felt before. This means that Mar might be even stronger than anyone in the entire crew. Now that he was this powerful he knew that there is more powerful enemies in the area. As Kirito was going to find out sometime here soon.

Shinoji immediately sense some type pf danger. His training and ended and his crew were waiting at the dock filling the ship with supplies. He then thanked the towns people. But there was no time. Something was happening. Something big.

“Alright Crew listen up. Something is brewing. Something big. I leave command of the ship and crew to my right-hand man. We will not be sailing today, we will be traveling by my magic. Please be quick, secure everything and get below deck immediately.”

Shinoji then spoke to his underling. “I will be sending you to the Prodence Kingdom, join with the main army, train and hone your skills. Keep everyone in line. Below the deck now.”

As they all secured the cargo and all were running around lowering sails Shinoji was casting his magic transportation circle laced with his lightning magic. The energy around the boat was electrified, therefore he wanted everyone below deck. The power behind his spells would incinerate the crew. After the spell was cast a huge lightning bolt swallowed the boat and they were off. Shinoji put the coordinates for Prodence Kingsdom into his spell to make sure they got to the perfect spot. Then he broke off on his own.

As fast as the lightning would take him, he headed for the captain. Something was up. He could feel the captains power increasing. After what seemed like forever a lightning bolt crashed next to Kirito, Shinoji, bent on his knee from the impact, he was rushing. But, what was this? All these powers? Strong powers, aside from the captain and this green man. What was going on?

“Captain? Whats going on here? Who is this, where are we? Why are marines here?”

"Toku... You have been selected to head to the Land of Z. There you will determine the strength of the Marine establishment within that land and, if you find the opportunity, dismantle the strength of their hold over the land." Toku stood across from the acting Jounin Commander of the Village Hidden in the Clouds, a man with a history that credits his ability to lead but the uncertainty was always visible to the Anbu Member Regashi Hokori, a long forgotten member of the Hyuga Clan. "You will go with the rest of your team to this Budokai Tournament and from their you will make your way deeper into Marine Territory." Of course there was no way that Toku would be allowed object to the request. He was trained to be what ever was needed in order to further the ambition of his Village, and after the loss of many prominent members this was the way things ended up. 

Toku started to think back to that moment when he was offered the assignment, as he stood in the middle of the forest deeper into the Land of Z. The place was littered with people of varying powers though it became easy to discern if those were fighting to expand the reach of the Marines or those that were simply attempting to maintain the life that they knew. "I can not wait until we get back to the city and celebrate another good day." Toku could hear the steps of people walking by, their voices filled with high levels of energy. This was a contrasting feeling to the locals that were fighting for their home, or running for their lives.

It was not hard for Toku to see the four people approaching his direction through the forest, although they were sticking to the created path as opposed to making their way through the actual thick of the forest. The level of energy that was flowing through their body was faint compared to the massive signatures that have been seen in the nearby cities which meant that these were nothing more than simple patrol making their rounds. Armed with weapons that Toku had not encountered before, but there has been plenty of things that he had faced up to this point that stand beyond reason. 

The benefit of living in the Village Hidden in the Clouds is that they focused on technological advancements all of the time and that allowed Toku to have a sense of anticipation for the wild powers that can be developed with the combination of Chakra and Technology. Still, these people were loud and truly obnoxious as they made their way through the path. They were organized enough to be in a diamond pattern as they made their way, but their own hubris lead to them being so distracted. Three people would not notice when a body suddenly went missing in the back, at least not until the sound of their weapon smacking the ground gave a sign.

Each of them would turn to face the direction of the sound to see they have been reduced in numbers, but all three facing one direction means that two people will not be aware when they have been reduced to only half of their original numbers. "What- What is going on!?" The man was filled with fear as his legs started to shake, so much that when a flash of movement could be seen to his side it was clear that a startled jump and preparation to attack was brewing. Though he stood no chance as a single figure approached quickly and pressed his hand on the mans shoulder. His body would not respond as the figure struck against his body with a flurry of blows. 

They were not powerful, but when his body fell to the ground the single remaining patrol felt an overwhelming concern for his own life. His own fear was quickly removed, although it came at the price of his life. With the individuals disposed of, Toku took the time to hand the bodies up in the trees from rope after going through all of their belongings. Watching as the energy of their body faded away, he took a deep breath and felt the natural energy fill his lungs for a moment. It wasn't until a massive explosion nearby that that Toku was pulled from his mind and decided a new direction.

Such a level of power is cause for concern, no matte which side of the conflict that they remained on. So he quickly ensured that his mask was fitted properly to his face before dashing off towards the point of interest. There was no need to raise any unwanted attention and thus he focused on keeping his chakra use to a minimum and resorted to his own natural abilities to navigate. Eventually he came across a sight of bloody bodies of ages from children to the elderly with indiscriminate wounds. 

Though in the middle of the bodies that decorated the region for both sides of the conflict, there stood a green man with unique features about him and another individual nearby. Suddenly a third would appear like lightning next to the more human appearing individual. Toku was not too sure if it would be best to reveal himself now, especially being unsure of the intentions of this small group. Still, Toku was prepared to release his weapons if necessary and watched carefully with his Satorigan scanning each of them in detail.

Seeing Shinoji for the first time in a long time, Kirito felt proud that his first mate was still alive. He was not going to keep his first mate waiting in an answer as they have not seen each other in forever. "Good to see you too, We are in the Land of Z. The marines have invaded this land and we are helping out Namekian friend Mar over there get rid of them. However Mar is already facing one of them alone, I sense two others coming right for us. Also where is the crew?" Kirito's sentence was cut short as he had a lightning bolt strike him from above. It looked like Shinoji also had a defensive field around them but it couldn't absorb the other lightning. Catching a quick glimpse of the Marine who struck him, stretching his arm to its max length he then threw a massive punch at the Marine. The punch missed and Kirito pulled his arm back to normal and stood there with Shinoji.

"Looks like we got a guest. Guess Mar will have to solo for now." Getting into a fighting stance he knew that he couldn't fight this guy with swords as they would only attract the lightning. Just then Kirito thought of a plan. "Sinoji you are a Thunder God Slayer right? Eat his lightning so I can get a solid strike on him. This way I can hurry to Mar."

Kirito stood ready for the next attack when he sensed another Marine in the direction of the two monks. This one had a chill to him. "Great another one. What will happen next." This answer came very quickly as another warrior showed up near by and Kirito could sense him. This one had a feel he never sensed before. With his powers unknown and his origins, Kirito was unable to determine if he was friend or foe. "Shit, what a pain in the ass."

Shinoji did as ordered, the marine in question sent a barrage of lighting bolts at them again, but the never reached the captain because the were being absorbed. More along the lines of eaten. The sight was amazing, as soon as shinoji was done eating the lightning, he smirked at the marine and moved slightly to the right almost in an instant, lighting cracked around him and the 5 marines behind him fel to the ground a clean hole through their heads. Shinoji the moves back to let the captain openly attack.

One of Shinojis feelers detected something. In an instant teleport of lightning, he was behind the boy with a lightning blade at his throat. “Who are you?”

Toku observed the situation unfold before him, eyes tracing the environment in detail as he held his gaze on the individuals close by. Though, with eyes like the Satorigan, there would be no true sense of direction in where his focus would be. A benefit that allowed him to watch a scene in front of him while being aware of the world around him. It was this detail that allowed him to see a sudden attack on the strangers from Marines, meaning at least they were not current allies with the war criminals. 

To see such an amazing control over lightning, from either side of the battle, was impressive but merely portions of statistical data to collect and determine the best way to dismantle such a feature of power. It was in that moment that it appeared the ally of one, a potential subordinate, had detected the location of Toku and made his way towards him.

The speed that he moved was impressive, but not for Toku as the man seemed to stride over in a gentle pace. Toku found no trouble altering his position just before the arrival of this individual and turned to face him. This man arrived in a flash and held a blade around the throat of Toku, only to be holding a plume of smoke.

"My identity is unimportant at the present time." His words came from a few feet to the side of the man, revealing the masked teen walking towards him. All that remained in the grasps of the subordinate warrior was a bundle of wood. "I am here to deal with the Marine threat, but I will gladly add you to the list of bodies that decorate this land with the rest of them."

Toku may have his eyes on this man, his attention was on the individual approaching two monks in the near distance.

Watching Shinoji get the guy's lightning out of the way, Kirito began to prepare his own attack. Gathering all the Mochi within his body he then put it all into one fist and began to throw the punch directly at the Marine. The punch made an impact within a matter of seconds and slammed the guy into the ground. With that done Kirito looked over at Shinoji. "Leave that guy be, finish this guy off and then help him fight that other Marine over there. I have to go help Mar and save that village." Turning into his phoenix form he then flew away at full speed toward Mar.

--Mar--
Blood began to drip onto the ground from a wound he had on his arm. Jumping back away from the Marine standing before him that had lava coming from his arm, Mar began to gather his thoughts. "Maybe I could try and hit him with a really strong attack and gain an advantage during the moment he is defending from it. Let's do it." Placing his hands in a cup form in front of his chest Mar began to gather a strong power in his hands again. The Marine stood there unfazed by the attack. "You think that light show will be able to harm me, you need to think again. Your attack might have worked on the soldiers but it wont work on me. I am above those peons!" Mar only stood there with a smirk on his face. He knew this attack would do the trick if he fired it at the right moment. "Very well, you think you can survive this attack then stand there and take it! Light Grenade!"

Mar then fired the attack as the Marine just stood there and took the attack head on. Smoke filled the entire village as Mar stood there panting to catch his breath. The smoke cleared to show lava pluming out from the center of it and Mar jumped away to dodge it all. The marine then emerged and stood there without a scratch on him. This frustrated Mar as that was his strongest attack at this current time. "So I take it you dont know Haki. Too bad for you as that is the only way to defeat me! Now die!" Mar just closed his eyes and raised his arms over his face. The Marine then charged a large arm of Lava and threw it at Mar.

Kirito appeared just in time to activate his Haki and kicked the attack away. Standing there looking directly at the Marine, Kirito could only hope that he could defeat him on his own. "Mar just stay back for now. I'll handle this on my own." Kirito then activated the Haki on his legs and then kicked his foot around that made flames appear around it. "Say your prayers, Marine. Diable Jambe!" Moving at his full speed Kirito then appeared right in front of the marine and began to kick him over and over. He kept his speed up and began to increase the amount of kicks per minute and began to push the marine back. Launching one final kick, it pushed the marine completely into a wall. He then emerged within a moment later and threw some lava attack at Kirito which he dodged but got nicked by one of them which burned his shirt sleeve. The Marine began to laugh when he realized who Kirito was. "So you are Kirito Gekko, Captain of Motion 66 and have a bounty of Four-Hundred and Thirty-five million. To top it off you are also considered a Yonko of the New World. Killing you will give me a raise and possible promotion!" The marine began to laugh hysterically as Kirito only drew out Sandai Kitetsu and then slashed the Marine's neck which he turned into lava and survived. With a surprised look on his face he then looked at Kirito who was not even fazed by the marine. "Just try to kill me, you will find out quickly how strong I am."

They both stood there in a grid lock and just imagined them killing each other. The battlefield began to rumble under their power as the stood there staring at each other.

Mar only sat there in awe of Kirito's strength and the lack of his own strength. Punching the ground he knew that all he could do is sit back and watch the fight from here. However if the moment arose that he could pull off a killing strike, he would do so. This man and his men was responsible for the deaths of everyone here. That was not forgivable and he must die for his crimes. For the time being though, he would let Kirito take him on. It was a matter of biding his time until he could strike.

Wrapping his sword in Haki, Kirito went to swing it at the Marine who blocked it with lava then threw a punch at Kirito who just jumped away. Standing there the Marine then shrunk the lava to form his arms and went in to attack hand to hand. Once Kirito regained his footing he then placed both hands on his sword and went to launch a Kendo style attack. Both lunged at each other and threw an attack. Both of them emerged behind each other with Kirito having a slight burn mark on his cheek with the Marine having a large slash on his arm. They just quickly turned around and attacked each other again. This time they were in a lock, both not willing to move. Pushing with all of their might, Kirito activated his flames so he could try and heal while this lock was going on. Finally their attacks power forced them both to jump away from each other with a loud bang. They landed on their feet some yards from each other and they just stared at each other.

Just then a large creature appeared behind the Marine and it towered over the entire landscape. "Such a useless soldier, can't even defeat a simple pirate. I have no use for you!" The marine then panicked then began to try and run away but was instead stomped into the ground by the giant creature. Kirito only stood there in awe as the creature began to come into view behind the smoke. it was a large Dragon with the Marine symbol embedded on his forehead. Standing there with only a grin on his face Kirito knew the toughest fight was still ahead. "Son of a bitch, just when I thought I was about to win." Mar just stood there with a scared look on his face as the creature was huge. Both of them knew they had a handful on their hands. This was about to be the toughest battle of his life.

Shinoji was surprised but not surprised that the fact that this man seen him coming let alone evaded him. Watching the oncoming battle, Shinoji activated his new found lightning armor and raced to get everyone out of harms way, blasts and explosions. Then what looked like a dragon showed up.

“Captain! Is that a damn dragon!?” it had to be a damned fire dragon and not a lightning dragon. Shinoji backed away as fast as he could, that dragons power level is insane. All Shinoji could do was protect who was down and get them to safety.

Then shinoji had a plan. He zapped over to the Captain and touched his blades. “There, they have my lightning magic imbued in them. See ya, and don’t die cap!” In an instant he was gone. Back to the tree line.

The man of lightning was told to alter his attention from Toku from his superior, to which he responded in kind and left to assist the rest of the battle going on around them. With the time and space to think and consider his next action, it was his time to make a move and determine the level of power that he was dealing with.

Toku turned away from the man and made his way towards the approaching presence, his eyes seeing the frosty blue life force flowing through the physical form of an individual. This level of energy and unique color meant that this man had a significant amount of, and control over, energy force. "Must be a Marine of true rank." 

Luckily the Satorigan gave him a chance to analyze his opponent in detail before he approached, getting a grasp over the amount of energy that was available and it proved to be an impressive sight. So Toku took the chance to move through the tree line and quickly launched a kunai at the man from the vegetation. 

Though what Toku saw next was not expected, as his weapon simply went trough the air and Toku could see the arm of the man detached with a frost like steam developing. Satorigan revealed that ice was connecting the limb using some energy force tendril before reconnecting. "Well, a Shinobi?" The man would turn around, "All the way out here?"

His cold gaze was focused on Toku who threw three shuriken quickly only to have them strike the man's body and freeze on impact. "Interesting." The only words that Toku could seem to decide to speak as each of them kept a gaze upon one another with two monks standing just in range making their attempt to attack the man.

"You two." He spoke sharply, "I would advise that you do not make an attempt to strike this man if you value you lives." His words held a weight to them that was impressive and terrifying in its own way, "Neither of you possess enough grasp of your Ki to combat this Ice power, and your death would be swift." The monks froze in their steps in concern at both the information provided of their enemy and their own skills.

Toku watched as the ice marine would give a smile, "They might have been the only reason you could survive this encounter Shinobi." Toku responded with a dash at the Ice marine with a Kunai in his left hand. "Please, come to your frozen death." Instantly the Shinobi of the Village Hidden in the Clouds arrived and his eyes revealed the muscle density of the man to determine he was right handed.

Quickly Toku pressed two fingers of his right hand on the shoulder of the man, no more force than a poke before swinging his left hand and slicing his kunai across the shoulder of the man. The face of the Ice Marine was shocked as he quickly swung his left hand and threw Toku back. The impact was enough to crack the mask and cause frost to develop, so Toku quickly threw the mask away.

"How... Did you cut me?"

"Your Ice powers are impressive, but they are still tied to the Energy Network and any Hyuga can bypass such thing." Toku smiled as his eyes shifted with the pure white iris and black scalera. 

"No matter, you will not lay another hand on me." His right arm was not cut enough to disable it as he attempted to generate ice in his hand, his eyes fixed on his palm. It was clear he was hesitant as an ice blade form.

"A little harder to generate your powers using that arm?" Toku only smiled, aware that this was not going to be an easy battle. His first attack was only because he was underestimated, but now the Ice Marine was prepared.

Standing there watching the Dragon just crush the magma marine with little ease, Kirito just decided to feel the guy out. Using his Haki, he could tell that this guy was stronger than the other three that are here. It would also appear the Magma guy was defeated with just one attack. This was not good. Even if Kirito was to use his full strength it was doubtful this would be an easy fight.

Just then Shinoji appeared and touched his swords and gave them power from the Thunder God Slayer. Looking at his swords Kirito knew he was ready to get this fight underway. However there was still the issue of the other two Marines in the area too. Standing there Kirito decided to feel out the battlefield a little.

"You don't seem like the talkative type. So that other one is a Pirate as well. Wanted for Ninety Million bounty. Not worth much for being your first mate. However between your bounties I shall finally be able to take a vacation!" The giant dragon began to laugh as Kirito just opened his eyes and held his swords up at him. "He may have a low bounty, but that doesn't mean he isn't just as strong as I am. It is true I have conquered most of the New World on my own. I will defeat you, no matter what." Holding the sword up Kirito prepared to finally finish this fight for the village.
