Toku made his way from the previous encounter, the one in which he made contact with several more interesting individuals, and found himself far enough from other people to establish a solid connection with his superiors. Sure that he was located in an area that was well hidden from random adventures or scout parties, Toku sat himself on the ground and crossed his legs. "An Eye for an Eye, reveal to me what you see." He spoke those words in a rhythmical pattern as he performed a series of hand signs.

After the final sign was completed, there was a short burst of chakra from his body as his left eyes started to tear up and turn red as blood. It would run down his face as he open both of his eyes. His right eye showed the full details of a Satorigan with the black sclera and his white iris while his left eye was nothing but complete darkness. For his vision though, he would see the world around him in a range shorter than his usual but he could also see the inside of a room where a scroll sat in front of his view.

A hand could be seen from the perspective of the eye to be his own reaching for the scroll and scanning it from top to bottom slowly. Toku took the time to read the scroll as his eye seemed to move across the page, and he read aloud to capture the words, "Our reports have determined that the Land of Z has been occupied by the Marines in West City as well as in South City. These two are major locations, with West City being the primary location of the Capsule Corporation." There was a pause as the eye took time to hover on these words before moving on. "West City is potentially more fortified and holds a more powerful class of Marines and other threats, but this does not mean that South City will be so easily accessible or unprepared for an attack."

"Reading this message means that you were successful in infiltrating the Land of the Z and establishing yourself behind enemy territory. Make your way to South City and assess the situation, then dismantle the hold in South City. Reinforcements are in route to South City, but you are not to await their arrival. A sharp ally can sting just as fine as a blade." The hands closed the scroll signifying the end of the message as his vision started to fade into darkness.

Quickly Toku would shut both of his eyes and wipe away the bloody tears in pain before finally opening them both again. This time his eyes were back to normal, both of them, with both having the Satorigan in full effect save for the unique Iris that comes from using the full power. His vision was blurry for a few moments before it returned to normal and he turned his gaze towards the direction of South City.

Toku spent some time studying all of the maps that were discovered by Shinobi from the Land of Shinobi, at least the ones willing to share their discoveries, and it granted him a decent understanding of the layout of the known explored world that was not immediately taken over by the Marines. It was this collection of information that allowed Toku to study the different races and beings that have appeared since the beginning of this shift where Legends went missing and the Marines decided they were the ones to bring order to the known world.

A quick dash and solid leap lead to a dive into the water on the approach towards South City.

The cold of the water would hold tight to the skin of Toku, biting ever so gently as he swam through the surface of the water towards his objective. He considered the many methods that he could have used to approach his target and many had their benefits that matched their complications. There were calculations that went on in his head that drove him to decide on the actions that he took. Although he was not too fond of the experiences of the water, he was comfortable enough to swim without too much trouble. Being a member of the Anbu Black Ops for the Village Hidden in the Clouds, or even from the Land of Shinobi in general, it would prove that he had the ability to manage himself in most weather conditions even if they were uncomfortable in the least or deadly in the extremes.

Of course, his first thought was to take the time and find a ship on the previous land mass in order to make his way to South City. There was no direct method of approach from land from the major land mass of the Land of Z. Toku was located just north of the the island that holds South City and there were a couple ships that he had seen along his path from Mountain Paozu west to the closest portion of land. It was along this journey that he had come across the hold that the World Government had established on the Land of Z, or at least on the western and southern portions of the region. The closer that he got, the more that he would observe patrols making their way and they were all making their way east.

Though it would appear that the region resisted enough to halt and stall the expansion of the World Government across the Land of Z on their eastern growth, but there was something that would have to be done soon to truly give a chance to these people to not be forced under the thumb of the World Government and the Marines that believed that they had the power to lay claim to the lands that have now been discovered in this new found land. Toku would find himself, from time to time, determining whether there is some validity to their concepts at least. Not so much that the World Government should be in charge, but with the new chaos being created from all of the mayhem, perhaps there should be a central power of some kind.

That was not important to think about at the current moment as he continued to swim ensuring a gentle pace with his strokes as to not strain himself for the potentially long swim that was before him and had to be prepared in case someone became curious of a moving object in the water. That was the possible concern with using a ship as well, the fact that the Marines were specialist in the art of Maritime Combat and Naval forces were literally their entire motif. That, and the fact that Toku was not all the great when it came to using a ship. It was not something that Shinobi are typically trained on in their usage in commonality outside of simply small row boats.

Being a sole individual running an entire boat and being caught was too many problems that Toku was not prepared to deal with and using a small row boat would be a bad idea all of its own. Not only would the boat have trouble making the distance, but it would be large enough to be seen in the event that a ship would sail by and that would lead to more issues than it would be worth. He even considered taking the aerial route and using Chomei to fly through the air, but there would be the chance of being seen and there was always the price to pay when depending too deeply on the power provided by the tailed beast to allow him to take care of smaller tasks.

Of course the power that it gives would be enough to handle with most of the low level marines that he could run into, but there would be the greater concern of the ship potentially being the vessel for a Vice Admiral, or even a fully ranked Admiral. That partnered with the same challenges and exhaustion that comes with swimming, it just seemed easier to hide in the depths of the water. This overall just seemed to be the tactical decision, and after a while the water did not seem to be that cold with some time.

------------
In the Mind
Toku stood there in the middle of complete darkness, all alone without even a sound to share the space with. It was a strange moment to say the least and left him with a curiosity that would grow in hunger with every passing second. Eventually he would share the company with the sound of his own heart beat making an echo throughout the entire darkness.

Confusion started to consume his thoughts but before long, it started to make sense as the place that he stood in reminded him quickly of a friend he had recently acquired. The fact that the place started to breed a sense of comfort is the reason why colors started to appear, a flow of purple would drift through the area like water.

It would gently flow around him and tracing his body giving him a warming sensation before gathering a few feet from him as a silhouette of his own body in this purple energy. The sight was truly beautiful sight as he saw his own form stand before him. Even though it would make sense as to where he was in the moment, but what he could not make sense was why he was there.

Toku attempted to speak, his mouth would open in order to say something but not a single sound would actually come out of his throat. For a moment, he would be consumed in a sense of panic as he tried to speak up and suddenly felt his mouth fill with water and he attempted to clear his throat. Quickly he realized that it would be best to not attempt to breathe too deeply. He was in the mind of himself where Chomei resided, which was not too uncommon but it was typically inconvenient to get pulled into the mental section of his Seven Tailed Beast.

If he attempted to do too much, his real body would make the action performed and that could prove dangerous depending on the situation and in this case the Shinobi from the Village Hidden in the Clouds was still swimming in the waters that separated the island of South City from the rest of the mainland of Z.

He would much rather be out there and being focused on him swimming completely, and when he was trapped in his mind there was the problem of being unable to use his Satorigan in order to help him observe his surroundings. He was blind in the physical world, and that was never a comfortable feeling for him in the Chakra Realm. The worst part was that he was unable to actually speak a single word due to the water and that left him nervous.

There was a reason that he was pulled from the physical world into this place, but he could not simply ask and as he made his movement towards the purple aura of himself in front of him, he felt the pressure of the water keeping him from moving all that fast. It was like he was standing on the ground submerged beneath water.

Eventually the body would reach out to him, and quickly Toku would reach back out and grasp the hand. What felt like forever turned sharply and ended. He felt a massive amount of pressure asserting on his body and the water around him starting to disperse in a torrent of air before the darkness came back once more.
------

Toku found himself back in full control of his body as he moved along the water attempting to understand what it was that just happened to him, but found that somethings are better left unsaid. His body started to glide through the water and his field of vision stared to grow with every passing second. The need to breathe between each motion of his arms became less and less necessary.

He could not quite explain the sensation, but he had an idea as to what it was and a warm feeling came over him. Although he had found the time and ability within his heart to bond with the tailed beast, there was still a major distrust for the tailed beast. Though through his time training with the Anbu Black Ops, his knowledge of the world only grew.

The village hidden in the clouds had pushed the hardest to acquire all of the knowledge about the new world that they could manage, from sending their own scouts to all corners of the world all the way to simply purchasing information from traveling sources. The world held many things that could not be trusted in the hands of most people and that was apparent from just the tailed beast and the way that people handled them.

From the range of his field of vision, Toku took note of an approaching ship and decided that it was time to speed this process along.

In the range of his vision, the Anbu Member hailing from the Village Hidden in the Clouds located in the Land of Lightning within the Land of Shinobi, the ship continued to form in greater detail including the individuals that may be residing within the approaching vessel. His eyes continued to scan the ship in detail as it continued to make its way moving towards the Southern Island, the destination for the young Shinobi. Slowly every feature of the ship started to become highlighted in his vision, the material of the wood and the concentration of power that resided on the ship started to flourish.

The Shinobi took the time to trace his right arm, starting from his wrist, flowing along the detail of the sealed whip upon his arm drawn in a soft slate grey color. As he performed this action, the bladed whip started to tear out of his skin ripping through the flesh causing the water to turn blood before flowing with the rest of the water and fading away. Once his weapon was fully released from his arm, he turned to face the ship that was approaching parallel to his direction.

With his focus on the coming vessel, the Shinobi would whip his right arm the best he could manage against the resistance of the water. Once he got the full force of his swing generated, he would add a generous flow of chakra into the weapon and allow it to extend at the joints that link each individual portion of the blades. This granted him the ability to reach much further than the standard length of the weapon and forcing it to propel towards the ship until it was able to pierce the side of the ship and latching on.

A shift in the flow of chakra traveling through the whip would reverse and retract, and with the natural weight of the ship being far greater than his own his body would be launched through the water and pulled towards the ship. It would only take a few seconds for his body to reach the exposed part of the ship with part of his body still submerged. He would lift his body up with his grip on the side of the ship and placed his feet on the wood of the ship.

Once he was established with his footing, the Shinobi lifted himself up as he stood on the side of the ship and started making his way up the side of it. He continued his steps, slowly and cautiously in order to avoid making too much noise and alerting anyone on the ship of his presence. Would not make for an efficient Shinobi to be caught scaling the side of a ship.

The sounds of movement would start to catch his ears, but this was not as important as what he was able to observe with the range of his Satorigan, all of the people that were preparing for the moment they arrived on the shores of the South Island. Though, the sight of bodies that were bound underneath the ship with their life force fading left a sour taste in the mouth of the Shinobi. More so, the fact that children were in there that showed signs of abuse was something that was not acceptable.

Who knows what they were planning, but the fact that they were taking lands by force and ignoring the pleas of the locals for mercy was enough to provide them the same experience. So when at the appropriate height, the Shinobi launched himself over the side of the ship as he hovered in the air approaching the surface of the ship. His body surrounded by a small gale that would aid in drying his clothes as he landed.

Slowly he would turn his head as he focused on the people that were all shocked by the person that suddenly arrived on the ship. One of the closest marines made his way to approach the Shinobi and attempted to lay a hand on the trespasser. In a rapid motion, the Shinobi shifted his hand to remove the grasp from his shoulder and pressed his opposite hand on the chest of the Marine. With a shift in his chakra, the body fell to the ground hard and the Shinobi could see the life fade from the marine.

It became clear to everyone that this was not about to end gently, and the Shinobi counted on the coming battle.

Reclaiming a Lost Home Empty Re: Reclaiming a Lost Home

Post by ChaosKaiz on Tue Mar 05, 2019 5:08 pm

There is a challenge in determining what could happen next in someone’s life, especially when it is around their own life. So many details must be accounted for, and many of them will end up being completely irrelevant. The problem with details that have no use in discovering the eventual outcome is that there is only so much time that one could use in order to reach a conclusion of a situation. Such is the case for humanity, even if individuals involved are not exactly human in nature.

Many will attempt to understand the events that occur, but usually only in the final moments or sometime after the event had transpired. These remains true even for those marines that were a part of the slaughter that took place, a simple crew that were returning from a recon mission of all duties. They felt that such a mission was easy as they were making their way to one of the bases located in the land of Z.

It would not make sense for any of them to assume or expect things to not go smoothly, but some had the inclination to have concerns for how gentle the ride was coming back to the base. Even with the nature of the dark essence tracing their mind, none could consider that the foreboding aura would be a single teenager arriving on the deck of their ship. Certainly not a single person on that ship thought that their dreams of doing something memorable in their life considered that a bloody message was how they would achieve it.

No matter how it was that they felt about the events that took place the young Jounin level Shinobi, that had earned a place among the Anbu Black Operatives from the Village Hidden in the Clouds in the Land of the Shinobi, was not the method of delivery that any could have expected. Many had undoubtedly heard of the power that a Shinobi could have, especially during the Buster Call where a select group fought to defend their home.

Such tales seemed based in the land of exaggeration, since few were able to retell the story of what they observed and many more heard it from third party or beyond. The expectation is that time and degrees of retelling had simply altered the truth of what occurred on the shores of the Land of the Shinobi, and more so only specific villages even took up arms in defense. The Village Hidden in the Clouds was certainly one of those that had not taken place in the defense, but the Land of Lightning had their own concern to deal with at the time.

Had the challenges facing the land from the shores reached a point where it got too overwhelming or expanded into the Land of Lightning’s border, perhaps they might have gotten involved but besides such a specific event there would be no cause to waste valuable resources or miss the opportunity of war bringing such a grand distraction providing a cover to infiltrate and gather details.

The amount of unknown that exists for the Land of Lightning, the Village Hidden in the Clouds and down to the Anbu Black Operatives is so vague that the element of surprise is as certain as the wind in the air. Such a fact remains strong enough to have some throw caution to the wind as they attempted to take down the young teen that had decided to step onto a military vessel.

“People never learn.” A few words and perhaps more than needed, as the Shinobi shifted his posture and began the defensive tactics in which an assault was recommended. Never leaving a specific circle that he pictured in his mind and even drew in his chakra, Toku found a way to maintain the perfect defense. “We dance.” Every few moments, a new Marine would decide that they could easily take out the teenager. Eventually that number would multiply and waves decided that they would assist in the removal of this problem. Their tactics grew violent and aggressive, evolving to stopping the Shinobi to simply ending his life in that moment.

Toku seemed to follow a similar progression of his attacks, as he attempted to maintain a level of life on the ship doing the best he could to incapacitate his opponents. The only reason that he could not keep it up was the simple fact that his attempt to hold back would leave him open to various attacks that were less than enjoyable for the circumstances. Eventually, the darkness that once existed as a part of his every breath decided that now would be the time to resurface.

So the focus of non-lethal takedowns quickly became a violent blood bath to which his black chakra bean to consume his body slowly. Even the tailed beast started to surface slightly which started to create a demonic visual with the blend of the insect features and the surging aura that turned his body dark and red as if the blood of his kills fueled his form and multiplied his power.

No matter what wounds were inflicted, the Shinobi continued his assault. It was clear that damage was being done, but the murderous surge seemed to be more potent than any pain that he suffered. Time went on as the ship continued to drift through the sea the wood of the vessel drank the blood of the fallen. Eventually all that remained was the Shinobi from the Village Hidden in the Clouds, drenched in blood with both of his metal blade whips dangling on both side and bodies scattered on the deck.

His eyes, the Satorigan, shifted or a moment as he observed one last individual making his way to the surface of the ship and looking around at the carnage that had been caused. “What the hell are you?” The man spoke in total confusion with a flavoring of fear as he pulled out his weapon prepared to engage the target.

The Shinobi’s hair started to change colors as the liquid blood began to shift to steam from the heating coming from his body, revealing the now silver hair that could no longer be held by the hair tie. Even more so, his body was scarred as his tattered uniform was removed from his torso which revealed a burning white mark on his chest. “I am the stone the builder refused…” The Shinobi started to approach the Marine, “I am the beast that they all fear…”

A smile slid across the face of Toku as the demonic features became prominent, “I am death incarnate!” It would be the last words heard before the blood curdling scream from the man.

Shortly after a small boat would approach the ship and two individuals would climb onto the surface to witness the bloody disaster. “Toku…?” The voice was familiar as he looked up to see Debu and Sozo standing in front of him.

Toku allowed his gaze to flow over the scene before him as he smiled, “They will no longer be a problem…” He released a small chuckle, “Soon, none of them will be a problem and the World Government will be no more.” Sozo glanced over at the revealed shoulder where the Iron Seal was and saw the fade in the ink as well and realized what was happening.

“Toku… You need to come with us…” Sozo attempted to speak to him, “Your seal is weakening and we need to put the Tailed Beast back under control…”

“Under control!” He exclaimed as he stood up and an explosive force of air was released under his body, “The village wanted to do nothing but control me.” It was clear his anger was being released after so many years. “Now… Now I feel free!” With those words a torrent of air was unleashed as Debu and Sozo used their chakra to base themselves.

“Toku… You are not well.” Debu spoke this time, concern in his voice. “You need to return to the village.”

Toku scoffed, “I have never felt better. The world is greater than our Village…” He smiled menacingly, “Truly the impacts of the worlds merging are greater than anything we imagined and I plan to explore it all. There is so much power, so much potential in the universe and I have the ability to have it in my control.”

Debu and Sozo looked upon one another.

“After I destroy the World Government here, they will become a tool to acquire my goals or become ash upon the land they attempt to claim.” Toku turned away from his old squad mates. “Get in my way and you will join their fate.” A burst of wind launched from his body pushing Debu and Sozo back a bit as he launched towards South City leaving Debu and Sozo on the bloody deck watching their friend fly off.

There was certainly something off about Toku, something that brought nothing but a dark and painful sensation to Sozo and Debu as they watched their friend fly off. That was the detail that caused them to realize how far he had gone, the fact that he managed to fly off meant that he was reaching a point where the Tailed Beast and his own Chakra was starting to merge. The pressure of it all, mixed with the constant pressure on his own body seemed to have caused a break in his mind.

"No, I will not stand by this time." Sozo shouted out to Toku, but that was not the only step she took to stop him. A series of hand signs and instantly the seals on his body, the crafted seals by their team, released and a rush of chakra would flow from his body in a violent torrent.

"It is best that you both stand back for this." Sozo and Debu both turned their heads towards the voice and each of them displayed the surprise and fear in their eyes, "This may not end well." Gadian stood next to them both, with his body shrouded in a black cloud with sparks of red energy floating through the smoke. Toku, consumed by the chakra of the Seven Tailed Beast, turned towards the Shinobi from the Village Hidden in the Clouds and started to rush in their direction.

"Temple of Nirvana." Gadian swiftly moved his hands around to channel his chakra for the jutsu as two more people launched themselves from the side of the boat onto the deck as well. Sozo glanced over to search for a small raft of some kind but had no luck, assuming that they must have ran across the surface of the water. Still, these people were not recognizable to Sozo or Debu as anyone from the Village Hidden in the Clouds.

Sozo and Debu both closed their eyes, aware of the Jutsu that was taking place, and in the same instance a loud screeching sound echoed throughout the area shaking the boat itself. Debu and Sozo forced their hands to cover their ears to protect them from the sound. "Got to make it louder!

Toku, in his raging beast form, started to drift in the are between the shock wave being generated by the sounds and noticing the feathers floating in the air. These are part of the Genjutsu that is capable of causing someone to fall asleep, and even the Satorigan has trouble avoiding the Genjutsu while influenced by the rage of the tailed beast. "Mine turn I guess..." A man in a fine black suit appeared from a burst of electrical energy in the air with a bow in hand. Quickly he shot an arrow in the back of Toku before he vanished in the same way he appeared.

"Go for it Leona." In that moment, a small female child launched into the air from the side of the boat and slammed into the body of Toku and launching him into the water hard. "But you could have went a little easy on him...

"Bakudo Number 73... Tozansho..." A blue light could be seen, even with the contrasting blue color of the water. The blue light created an inverted pyramid and locked Toku in the barrier. The combination of all of the actions became enough to subdue Toku, who started to drown being sealed in a container underwater. He thrashed the best he could until he finally blacked out.

"I will take it from here.
