Kumogakure Shinobi Grand Mission Arc - The Truth is Observable
000 – A Vision of the Future | Final Flashback Sequence
“You see how Chaos aims to consume, you can see his Eight Cardinal Laws in life.”
----------
“What are we even waiting for?” The annoyed voice of Sozo would flow through the ears of Toku, who was enjoying the calm afternoon underneath one of the trees located in this random village. Ryoshi was dispatched to assist with a delivery to this village from The Village Hidden in the Clouds, and it was easier than expected to complete. The concern was that there could have been an attempt to steal the package that they were carrying, but even the wind hesitated to disturb their travels.
For Toku, that was the perfect mission, to be able to enjoy a casual stroll through the Land of Lightning and enjoy the sights a little bit while being paid to do very little work. It gave him plenty of time to drift off on his own thoughts and conduct research on new concepts for his Medical Jutsu and even spend time meditating with Debu. Both of them find their own peace in not having to actual engage in combat needlessly, which gives time for Debu to meditate and further enhance his own mind for his Genjutsu.
The time spent since they originally became Genin and formed the Genin Hunters of the Village Hidden in the Clouds has been treating each of them well. Debu had been refining his Clan Kekkai Genkai and enhancing his Genjutsu arts which allowed him to refine his body using the Mental Fortitude Style; Sozo had become one of the top Genin in Ninjutsu arts and with Ninja Tools and even learning how to use Chakra Threads enough to utilize Puppets; and Toku had found a way to use his Dojutsu in order to increase his effectiveness and even working towards unlocking the Chakra Gates with the assistance of Debu.
“Seriously, Gadian should have already delivered the package and we would be halfway back home by now. Especially after an hour of waiting.” Both Toku and Debu could feel the anxious energy radiating off of Sozo, knowing she is not one to simply allow just waiting around unlike the rest of her team. It was always an odd group with both of her direct team mates never wanting to get involved in the true depth of being a Shinobi with combat compared to her battle ready mentality and even her leader who spent several years in retirement before coming out to lead this team.
She knows that each of them are capable when they apply themselves, and never worries about what might happen if they were under attack or a situation becomes necessary to act but that does change the fact that she cannot stand how each of them simply waits around waiting for something to happen rather than making something happen. Of course, she understands that Debu needs to constantly meditate in order to strengthen his skills and Toku needs to keep his Chakra reserves full so he is not drained when he needs to provide medical attention or combat support. Still, her excess chakra levels matches her intense levels of energy and contrasts heavily with the rest of her team while still providing a strong cohesiveness.
Eventually, after maintaining a few minutes of silence, Sozo decides to depart from the team. “I am going to find something to do.” As she walks away, she tosses a random crimson red Kunai towards Toku who catches it midflight although he remained on the ground with his eyes closed. “Call when it is time to leave.” Then she rushes away.
“Should I?” Debu asks Toku, knowing the answers.
Toku released a sigh, “Yeah, keep an eye on her and keep her out of trouble.” A few seconds pass and Debu suddenly vanished leaving a small dust cloud where he once was. A benefit of placing one of his Tracking Seals on Sozo allows Debu to summon himself to a source of Chakra that allows him to willingly arrive so long as he maintains a connection to their mind using his Mental Fortitude.
This left Toku all on his own under the tree, to which he decided to sit up and lean against the tree as he finally opened his eyes. Toku enjoyed just looking around with his pure white eyes observing the world around him, just to take in the natural flow of the life that exists in his immediate area. His own personal Byakugan focuses less on the depth or field of vision but the precision to detail when it comes to the Chakra that flows through people and a strange flow of energy through materials in general.
It was always a beautiful sight to observe and it allowed him to study the natural structures of things to understand how tough an object is, but, when used in terms of the applications of his Medical Ninjutsu, each living organism has its own flow of energy that gives it life and each variation of the color, flow, pattern, and distribution of this life energy allows Toku to determine the potential effects of a substance in various conditions just by observing the energy.
It is how he is capable of creating such potent potions, oils, creams, and even poisons with very little time to analyze what he is working with. This is by understanding both the components used to create the concoction and comprehending the state of the target that he is applying the new creation to. Though he will always maintain the explanation, “I just get a gut feeling I guess.” Mainly because it allows him to avoid having to explain in detail the research he does mentally and avoid doing what other Medical Shinobi have to do and create documents for each of their creations and discoveries.
Slowly his gaze would turn towards the Village Center where the village leader was located, and ideally where Gadian would be located during his meeting. His eyes started to focus, but not of his desire, and each of the walls between him and the Village Center became transparent, in a way, becoming windows for him to look through. Eventually his eyes would lock on a scene that would be trouble, but it would also mean work.
Gadian, or at least his Chakra Network, could be seen strung up by Chakra Threads with another individual bound next to him in a similar manner. Though the second individual had a massive flow of Chakra running through his body and it was angry in the way that it would move. Those were the only two signatures that he could identify and determined that it was problem time to act, “At least Sozo will have something to do…”

“Chaos finds a way to maintain control, although loss of control is the maintained goal.”
----------
Toku lifted himself up from his tree, considering the weight of the situation and the options that he has in this moment. Obviously he would be inclined to assist his Sensei, since that would be the correct emotional response but it is clear that if they were able to capture a Jounin Level Shinobi from the Village Hidden in the Clouds that there would be little chance for a Genin of the same village to save him.
Obviously he can assess the powers of his team and see if combined they can successfully free Gadian quick enough to have him aid them in the escape. At the same time, Toku could generate a story of how Gadian departed already and requested that they meet him back in the village as soon as they are prepared to do so. They would have no problem leaving, but eventually when they discovered that Toku decided to leave their Sensei behind, there could be qualms although it is the tactical thing to do knowing the weight of the situation.
These thoughts continued to flow through his mind in a matter of a few seconds as each scenario was painted perfectly for him to view as the world continued to slow down. His enhanced vision taking in the immediate area around him and it was in that moment that he realized that his decision was already made for him. “Well damn.” He spoke softly, almost under his breath as his nearly perfect 360 degree vision allowed for him to see a few individuals attempting to close in on his position.
This would not be something worth concern, but these were Shinobi that he could recognize as individuals that were not originally stationed throughout this village especially since it should be under the protection of the Village Hidden in the Clouds. This meant that these are either rogue Shinobi or Shinobi from another village, although either case was not a good sign for him and the rest of his team. He knew that he would have to act fast and see if he could attempt to gather with his team fast enough to get ahead of this ambush.
Toku had but a few seconds to prepare as a single individual started to approach from a nearby alley, with a calm and suppressed approach. Since this man wanted to perform the role of an incidental individual, Toku would maintain the idea that he was just waiting for his Sensei to arrive back from his meeting and hope that Debu and Sozo were holding up on their own.
“Hey, are you one of the Shinobi from the Village Hidden in the Clouds?” The man inquired, his appearance showing one of innocent curiosity but Toku could see the Chakra starting to shift through his body but not so much so that he could determine the course of action taking place.
So Toku kept a casual response, maintaining his composure as the patient Genin, “Oh yeah!” A little bit of excitement to show the enjoyment of a new Genin, “Shinobi from the great Village Hidden in the Clouds!” He started to wonder if he was overplaying the excited new Shinobi, but the man continued his approach as he released some of his Chakra being built up and even lowered his guard.
“Chaos guide me.” Three words uttered by Toku as his body seemed to expel a burst of dark chakra, and the actual darkness could be seen as an aura actually generated around his body. Quickly he dashed forward, “Second Touch.” Instantly the man attempted to bring up his hands to prepare for whatever was coming, but it would prove futile as Toku lifted his hands and pressed his hands gently on the man. One hand pressed gently against the left ribs of the man and the other was pressed softly against the right thigh, but the aura itself seemed to reach out and replicate the actions twice reaching for different portions of the body but in reality Toku would move his body so fast that the aura left a trailing shadow.
Instantly the man fell over to one leg and using a single arm to hold himself up as he started to gasp for breath, “What did you-“
“Surgical Seperation.” There was a pause after Toku spoke, as it remained clear that the man had no idea what that meant in this moment, “I simply rewired the natural flow of your Chakra to flow aggressively around you lungs and sealed the flow departing causing a blockage.” There was a sigh, “And just like losing blood flow to a specific part of your body may cause cell damage, improper chakra flow can lead to cramps, muscle fatigue, all the way up to organ failure.
Immediately a handful of Shinobi would come from their locations looking at Toku, all considering silently who might be the first to react. “Welcome to the Symphony of Chaos.”

002 – Final Flashback Sequence
--
There was a moment in which Toku began to consider the options that were available to him, eyes tracking each of the rival Shinobis that began their approach. Each one looking at one another to ensure that the group was on the same page about attempting to attack this young child. Of course Toku knew what his actions were going to be, the resolve that held his stance firm and maintained the conviction to follow through with his own decision. Even when a few moments would drift by pushing for him to leave, not for fear of his new enemies but out of the fact that he would have to put forth the effort to fight.
Sozo always made a point that it would be Toku’s desire to avoid conflict and actual work that would attract more attention and more work than he would ever desire. This was the most solid proof of that, for his desire to remain in calm and comfortable location put him as the prime target for a bunch of criminals. “This is honestly a bother.” He would release a sigh as he spoke aloud and released his stance and stood straight up. He lifted his right arm, causing a momentary pause and hesitation in some of the criminals, and began to scratch the back of his head as he started to look into the sky. “These guys aren’t even real Shinobi.”
Immediately there was a pause in the group’s movement, each one staggering due to hesitation by the reaction and response by the young. This was because each person in this small clearing was aware of the truth behind the statement, because Toku was able to see the general flow of Chakra that would be in the body of any living person that he has come across. It would be his Byakugan that allowed him to see such a detail and determine that these people had no more extensive chakra flow or control than a dog running after its favorite ball when thrown.
“Before anyone tries to doubt me…” He slowly inched his gaze towards the closest one, “An actual Shinobi from the Village Hidden in the Clouds…” There was a soft smile, not one of menace or even of intimidation, which may have been preferable to some of them. “Know that I have met Shinobi Academy dropouts who have more chakra than you all combined.” He actually let out a small chuckled, “But I guess the point is most people will not question individuals dressed as Shinobi, especially not when they are surrounded.”
There was a momentary pause with both in his words and the world in the immediate area. This was not for any other reason than his sudden surge of pain in his eyes and the shifting of the colors in the world. It was starting to grow temporarily darker and invert before movement could be seen. Had these men actually been Shinobi, there might have been considerable reason for concern but their speed was a turtle in his eyes as Toku determined his best course of response.
Ultimately, the ‘Shinobi’ decided that there were tired of listening to a kid and pushed themselves forward to rush him with the understanding that a collective group would be more than capable of overwhelming and defeating a young Genin. Quickly they rushed him but their tactics were childish at best and just pure insane idiocy at worst. The first individual was able to close the distance well before his companions which put him in a one on one situation with Toku, which is one of the greater mistakes that this man made.
Toku swiftly turned his focus towards his first opponent, his movements in slow motion as if he was inching towards him. Though Toku was starting to experience the annoying pain in his eyes again reminiscent of the times when he trained with his father. Those memories of pushing his body to the limits, and the memories of losing his father started to flood his mind and a sense of a balance that he was attempting to maintain was broken instantly.
Without that balance, that control, Toku pushed forward with all of his momentum and in a dropped stance and slammed his right palm against the chest of the man. In that attack, he felt himself involuntarily guide all of his immediate chakra to the palm of his hand and allowed it to burst from his Tenketsu and drift into the body of the man. Though there is a true danger when Toku started to allow his emotions to drift too far or if he lost focus as the false Shinobi would soon learn.
The ability of the Symphony of Chaos is capable of performing a feat similar to the gentle first by attacking the chakra points of the body, but the Symphony hits not just the chakra points, or even specific organs tied to each of these points. The danger is the fact that the attack strikes ever cell on the way through the body. First causing the impact on the skin that will leave a bruise and potential burn marks from the rush of Chakra, the muscles will contract as the chest will started to compress. Further, the natural integrity of his bones would start to wither and the nerves would start to feel the disconnection and discontinue receiving proper blood flow.
This attack caused a heart attack that could prove fatal, and Toku held no plans to ease up after the first strike. To ensure that there would be no return, no retaliation, he moved his other hand forward to grab the arm of his target and use his own new stance to pull him in closer. By doing so, it gave him the chance to lift his stance up and smash his hand on the same point twice forcing the heart to feel the kick momentarily surrendering to the force.
That was the devastation of someone like Toku when remorse is no longer acceptable, it gives him the dark pleasure of taking a life, but the focus came at a price. This price was easy to pay and so the Chaos behana.

Toku watched as the body he struck became a ragdoll, knocking more than just the air out of the man knowing that he put too much into the attack and caused the main to lose consciousness entirely. It was in the moment that he felt the life temporarily drift from the body of the man that he started to regain some focus and realized that the tormenting chakra once more almost claimed his body.
Luckily he was able to gain enough of his vision back and fight through the pain in order to see what he had done, but the combination of fear and anger from the comrades of the ragdoll became apparent as each of them made their attempt to attack. Reaching into their pockets, sheathes, pouches, or whatever else they use in order to stash their weapons and revealing a variety of tools. “This kid is going to die slowly.”
Although Toku realized that he used a little too much power in his attack and actually exhausted himself a bit. So much so that it caused his vision to blur temporarily. Due to that little set back in what could be considered his greatest tool, he did not realized that one of the people behind him had thrown his Kunai and launched it directly into his left shoulder. He felt the cold steel pierce flesh and dig a little deep as he staggered a few steps forward. “Fuck!” The pain did not cause the reaction, as much as he was not used to getting hit by something that he at least did not see coming.
Even at his worst, he would be able to see anything occurring within his Field of Vision; a near perfect three hundred and sixty degree area of view and the point that hit him was definitely in his gaze. No, the use of his technique in such a flourish pulled from the Chakra it took to maintain a focus on his entire surroundings.
Now he was attempting to recover from the attack and the loss of vision, but not before a kick struck him in his chest and launched him a few feet backwards. This put him closer to the individual that initially threw the kunai that was still in his shoulder. Quickly he attempted to gather himself and spin, using his right hand to plant on the ground and use the momentum to launch himself in a back hand spring and deliver a sharp full force kick to the face of the man. A solid revenge strike.
It would appear that the others had plans for Toku as he noticed another individual who decided that he would take advantage of the awkward position that Toku was in. This larger individual swung his large hammer swiftly down and strike the left side of his body smashing into his ribs. There was but a few seconds that he made a decision as the hammer came all the way down and force a collision into the ground and created a small dust cloud from the impact.
“What the-“ It was quick burst from one of the other surrounding assailants as he gave a loud grunt of pain followed by the sound of a crash into the ground. Toku stood there over the body that fell face forward and gathered a mouthful of dust.
“But how!?” Toku revealed a smile with blood coming out of the side of his mouth and his right hand holding his ribs. “I hit you!”
“Yeah.” He maintained the smile as he pulled his hand from his side and dashed forward, “Now let’s go!” There was a level of excitement that he had not felt in quite some time, the level of joy that he once felt when training against his father and feeling the pain of progress. As much as he hated doing work and engaging in actually fighting at times, the rush of pain made him feel alive sometimes. It was a dark part of his psyche pushed from a young age and evolved into a very bad and toxic habit.
With little time for a shinobi to react, Toku was already upon him and removing the Kunai that the individual had in their pouch. With a rapid reaction, Toku took the blade and immediately stabbed it into the ribs of the man before pressing his palm firmly and quickly on the abdomen of the man focusing entire on the intestinal tract. The increase of blood flow, which would normally be used for healing, caused a rapid bleeding as Toku removed the Kunai.
He ducked just as the hammer man decided to swing it horizontally and struck the wounded man in the opposite side of his bloody ribs which would only increase the amount of internal bleed. Quickly Toku turned around and would lift up bringing the Kunai under the jaw of the man and feeling it break through the roof of his mouth.
Toku held his hand extended up as the tall man stood over him and his eye fixed on one of the other men nearby. He ensured that they made eye contact before twisting the kunai and pulling it from the bleeding skull of is most recent victim. “By the way.”
He took a step to the side as the body fell over, “I am Toku, the Medical Professional and Taijutsu Specialist of team Ryoshi from the Village Hidden in the Clouds.” His field of vision saw one of the other men attempting to back away slowly and saw the muscles moving, the exact motion he was going to take and with a quick toss he sent the Kunai flying through the air as it struck the main directly in his manhood. “We are known for ensuring that no one escapes us once we have selected a target.”
He was quickly interrupted when one of the false Shinobi who remained a distance away shot an arrow that struck him in the back of his right leg. “Damn.” Once more, his own lack of focus lead to another solid strike which gave another one of them a chance to rush him and attempt to slice across his abdomen.
Slightly disabled for full range of motion, Toku was only able to avoid the main force of the attack and feel the kunai cut along his ribs that he was pretty sure were probably broken by the hammer. Still, he had enough time to move his hand across his body and strike the spinal cortex with enough force and chakra to actual sever the connection watching as the body dropped immediately.
There was a moment when the remaining Shinobi just stared at Toku, and whether it was the scene of their comrades brutally killed by a kid or perhaps the pressure of the Chakra being released but they all decided to escape immediately. “Well…” He said with a snicker, “That was fun…” He reached to pull the arrow out of his leg feeling the awkward shape tear through some tissue. “But definitely…” His words came through gritted teeth as he proceeded to remove the kunai as well, “Not worth my time.”
He released a sigh once it was done and decided that it was best to be one his way. With a limb, a bloody body, and a clear focus once more he continued on, “Sozo is going to be so mad at me.”

004 – Final Flashback Sequence

Slowly Toku made his way through the village from his little clearing with the clear objective of the center of town, the last location that he was able to determine where his Sensei was. His mind was racing but attempting to maintain focus on the immediate area around him, which eliminated his ability to scope out too far. His eyes were holding his near perfect three hundred and sixty degree vision in order to track the people that were around him. Each person turning their gaze to see a young man bloody, and obviously not in the best of conditions from his previous encounter. The concern was that not a single person seemed to have a hint of sympathy to aid him, and other's seemed to give a menacing stare.
Toku took a moment to concentrate on every person within 50 yards of his body and it revealed that every man, woman, and even the children, had a weapon on them. Not small knives, but some people had an arsenal of Shinobi tools on their possession. Some of them were weapons that Toku could immediately recognize and knew that not just any person could utilize such a weapon without some kind of training and others were tools that he could not completely understand the effectiveness and practicality in most situations.
This caused him to force his mind to recall all of the information that was provided by Sozo about this village after the briefing that he missed. Sozo had not only taken notes during the briefing, but the Jounin in Charge that was issuing the mission request also provided the team with the details for the delivery and the village. The only thing that he was able to successfully recall from the conversation was that it was a small village that had only recently established itself and provided a request to join the protection of the Village Hidden in the Clouds.
There was little else that Toku was able to recall about the Village, except that there were special circumstances that convinced the Village Hidden in the Clouds to provide the blanket of protection even though the new village had not been fully recognized by the Daimyo for the Land of Lightning. This was something that normal never happens to maintain a cooperation between the Royal Family and the Shinobi that reside throughout the Land of the Lightning. Although the Village Hidden in the Clouds is the primary Shinobi Village that has the strongest force in the land, they are far from the only providers of Shinobi and even further from the sole provider of a Militant Force.
Of course that meant that these people could be anything from Shinobi trained by another smaller and lesser known village, or simply be mercenary that have their own objectives to fulfill. Still, this would mean that Toku would have to remain alert and attentive to his surroundings. Though he started to wonder if Sozo was okay, not so much that she would be in danger but because when put into a corner she can get pretty explosive. Debu, on the other hand, was easier to track and determine what was going on because his talents. In the event that Debu was in danger, everyone in the Village would be aware of the strange occurrences.
"Sozo..." His words actually caused a bit of pain, highlighting the tension that he was experiencing in his chest which meant that something was definitely broken. Almost as if he pushed the events into action a massive explosion occurred a short distance from him which absorbed the attention of everyone who could see debris flying into the air and bringing a black cloud of smoke. "Yeah..." He attempted to laugh as he continued to push forward, a strange resolve carrying his body forward. A drive was carrying his body even though he could feel the strain put on his abdomen and leg. "I am coming."
With urgency, Toku made his way towards the explosion unsure if it was anything worth his time to manage but something pressured him to go with the belief that Sozo was over there. So he rushed with everything that he could, feeling the pressure of the situation increasing with every step. As he turned a corner where the explosion took place, there was a massive surge of pain that happened in his head that reached both of his eyes. Everything started to move slow, excruciatingly slow that everything was moving an inch a minute.
He was able to see Sozo standing there with obvious wounds on her body as well and even her left arm seemed limp. In a surge of pain Toku was able to see through the skin and see the damaged muscles and even further to see the broken bone and dislocated shoulder. "Go." Quickly he ran forward noticing that his movement sped up the world so that he could stop living in a frozen world. In front of Sozo, Toku could see two large men each with large greataxes approaching Sozo. Their bodies showed several burns and jagged stones in their bodies.
"Combination Technique!" He shouted as he launched himself forward with an explosive amount of speed as a momentary blur pass Sozo, but he maintained his focus on the targets in front of the both of them. There was a specific idea that he had in mind and knew that Sozo was going to follow it perfectly. Especially since this was the technique that she wanted to create for the both of them, he knew that she would jump at the chance to do this. It was not until after Toku dashed pass her did Sozo feel the sensation of his touch on her arm and the numb feel of a broken limb and dislocated joint fade.
Quickly she started to perform the hand signs, "Earth Style: Consuming Stone" Then she slammed her palms against the ground as the earth started to raise up around the men and close them in. In the near distance, a similar rock formation could be seen meaning that this sealing technique was already used and based on the way that the rock was blow open and the fact that these men were still standing there meant that this did not work the first time around.
Still, Toku got close enough to the large enclosed stone and brought his hand to the stone, "Hunting Combination: Paralyzing Stone Prison!" They spoke in unison as the gut wrenching sounds of the men in the stone can be heard for a few seconds before silence. Toku kept his left hand on the stone as blood started to leak through a few of the cracks and an electrical discharge could be seen escaping slightly through a few of the spaces. It took everything in him to push this technique forward, but he knew the effectiveness if they combine their skills.
To seal them in stone temporarily and Sozo sending a surge of Lightning in the enclosure charged by the Dance of Chaos infused with his special Touch of Disorder in order to severe every nerve in their body. When paralyzed, there is nothing stopping the stone from crushing what ever is trapped inside. The blood continued to flow down his fingers and consuming his hand while also starting to pool at his feet. The blood was still warm and Toku could see the remnants of their chakra in the blood as it started to blend with his Tormented Black Chakra before fading away. "Toku?" He quickly shook his head to move on from the thought of his Chakra consuming dead energy and turned to see Sozo, her arm once more unable to be used meaning that the infusion of chakra had ran out.
"We need to find Debu." Sozo tried to move further, but her body seemed unable to push which makes Toku believe that she had been fighting for quite some time and it had a toll on her body.
Toku gave a smile as he used his clean hand and placed it on the cheek of Sozo, "Yeah, but I will get him." She was prepared to speak up before she made eye contact with him and saw the change in his eyes. Still he had the natural white iris of the Byakugan but his Scalera was now pitch black and she could see that something was different about Toku, something that she had only seen a few times prior to this point. "You just rest, no one should be bothering you over here." While he spoke, Sozo started to feel a refreshing sensation throughout her body that gave her comfort and realized that Toku was allow some chakra to flow into her body and heal her.
She wanted to object, but she knew there was little that she could do and the last time she tried to object it did not end well for both of them. "Please, just rest a little to allow the healing to settle and then you will be clear to assist with cleaning the Village." Sozo did not want to, but she could not help but smile watching her lazy companion start to take something a little more serious, "But I will need the Dagger Tails if they are ready."
Confused at first, Sozo just turned her head and then realized that he was talking about her recent project, "But how did-" She stopped in the middle of her question, realizing that he knew about them because his eyes can see through most objects and substances when he has a little focus. So she pulled out a small scroll and handed it to him, "Debu sealed them in there so you could pull it out when you are ready." Toku gave a nod as he grabbed the scroll.
"Hurry." He pulled Sozo in for a hug and held her for a moment, to her surprise. Before she could have the chance to respond, he let her go and departed towards where he believed Debu to be located.

His movement was slow at first, but there seemed to be something that was driving his body forward providing him with the fuel to move even though every part of him urged for him to give up and give in to the overwhelming pain that was consuming any thought he gathered. His leg had become mostly numb at this point and the wounds on his torso have bled through most of his shirt. So much so that he decidedly removed the article of clothing entirely.
Doing that revealed the many scars on his body and the few tattoos that decorate his skin in a unique fashion. It showed a history that could tell a tale for days at a time, but the focus was to avoid a torn and bloody shirt from weighing him down or being a risk in further encounters with danger. Each step he took was focused on discovering the location of his larger friend, the Genjutsu Specialist of Team Ryoshi, who is not an easy one to find when he does not want to be found.
Toku had to focus very carefully on his friend and think in detail of every piece of his appearance. The world once more began to slow down as he ran and his vision began to shift into a blur before revealing his friend Debu in strange environment that he could not immediately recognize. The only details that he was able to discern was Debu in a pretty bad condition with his own set of wounds but at the same time he could see him sitting in his meditative legs crossed position.
This meant that he was in the middle of performing one of his own personal techniques, which Toku was able to settle on one that he believed was the most suitable for the current situation and decided to broaden his own technique. Toku began to focus on the chakra signature that was being generated by his companion and allowed his mind to flow freely. Such a thing is dangerous when dealing with Debu as Toku was able to observe his friend turn his head to look at his direction.
“So you are okay?” Debu spoke as if Toku was directly next to him, but there was no response from Toku, “Good to know Sozo is also safe.” He turned his gaze forwards once more as the area that he was in began to come into view and fade from obscurity. “You do know that I can handle myself for the time being.” There was a pause as they waited for the room to obtain some clarity and reveal a warehouse, a pretty old and run down one at that. “Focus on getting Gadian for now.”
Suddenly the area faded from view entirely and Toku found himself back on one of the streets running as the world started to come back into a standard speed just in time for him to make a sharp turn around one of the corners. Bring snapped back into his own head in such a sudden pace caused Toku to be slightly disoriented but even with a blurry vision, he was able to noticed the problem that stood before him.
He would not need to use his enhanced eyes to see the crowd that stood before him with the obvious air of ill intentions, as each one revealed the weapons that they held. It was clear enough to see that they were not holding these weapons out of boredom and held a clear focus that they were going to deal with the young Shinobi here and now. “Ready?”
“Who said that?” Toku was confused when he heard the voice echo around him, which caused him to instantly activate his Dojutsu in order to see who it was that whispered in his ear but there was not a single person that appeared within his field of vision. When he received no immediate response or knowledge as to who it was that spoke, he decided that his attention would be best served dealing with the issue that has physically presented itself.
He pulled the scroll open and placed it on the ground, and the crowd responded by taking a few steps back meaning they were aware of the potential that can come out of a Shinobi with a scroll. Once firmly on the ground, Toku gathered some of his blood from his wounds and placed his palm on the seal. In a puff of smoke, Toku was hidden from view and the people decided to take a few steps back to increase the distance.
It was only a few seconds before the cloud of smoke dispersed to reveal Toku standing there with only a small change that made many of the concerned individuals ease up a little and approach a few steps. When they are aware of the great powers that can be pulled from a scroll and the only thing that this Genin manages is two metallic whips, there stands to be little worth concern.
Still, only two individuals decide that they were willing to test the actual value of the Shinobi with a pair of metal whips. Toku smiled as he moved his right hand where the whip was and revealed a unique detail. The eight foot metal whip seemed to wrap around the arm of Toku and stop at his elbow as if it was coming out of his skin.
One of the two assailants was thrown off by this detail, trying to understand how the weapon works and that have Toku the chance to whip the blade with tremendous force and sweep the first target’s legs from under him. Then, just as the man was lifted off of the ground the whip made a strange sound as a black steam came from various segments of the whip. Toku focused his chakra down his arm and extended it along the length of the whip which caused it to extend slightly and reveal the segmented blades.
He quickly pulled the whip down and caused it to collide with the chest of the man as he watched the whip shred along his chest viciously. His partner decided that his life was not worth facing this Shinobi and thought that he would be able to escape, but Toku launched his blade forward as a thin black aura could be seen around it this time in finer detail. This aura, proof of his ability to course his Chakra through the metal, allowed him to manipulate the weapon enough to reach the man in time and stab through his left shoulder.
The moment that it pierced through the flesh and made it through the other side, the tip fanned out to reveal the twin hook design that latched on to the man and allowed Toku to pull him backwards. Quickly he pushed the weapon forward to give space for the hook to sheath back and allow him to pull the weapon back out. Each person in the crowd gave visible signs of their fear before looking at one another, realizing that they still out number him.
Immediately they all began to run and rush him down, so Toku launched his whip towards a nearby building which revealed another feature of his whips when he releases the segments and shows that the length of the whip can be extended even further before he pulled himself towards the building and started to retract the whip. This aided in his ability to get on the roof and away from the crowd before he made his way towards the town center, now with his objective finally in actual view.
He started to retract the whip further than the eight foot length and it started to tear his arm and cause him considerable amounts of pain before the whips vanished leaving behind a design in his arms…
[“Listen Toku… I normally can seal weapons on my scrolls because that is easy to work with, but asking me to create a seal on a person that can release a weapon and also allow them to seal it back… That is not just dangerous, that can prove to be more painful than you release…” Sozo wanted nothing to do with this, feeling that she did not want to be a part of putting her teammate in such a painful predicament, “You will have to constantly be fueling the seal with Chakra to prevent any truly dangerous side effects, and the process of using and sealing itself will not be quick nor painless.” She protested continuously, but it was the look in Toku’s eyes that always seemed to prove that she was not going to get him to back down. “You already have your body branded by so many chemical formulas…” In the end, she agreed, but only under the condition that she will allow her to reapply the seal when she gets better to reduce the side effects.
“Don’t worry, I will find ways to reduce the price I pay so you do not have to worry about reducing the cost of maintaining it.” That warm, but dark, smile was always something that caused Sozo to believe what he had to say especially when he usually found little energy to put effort into anything and having something that he believed in way something Sozo wanted to see in Toku. “You are the reason this team doesn’t fall apart at the seams."]

Toku stood at the top of the building, his eyes fixed on two specific chakra signatures. His body was starting to wear down, and the longer he pushed the thicker the black aura became. It was almost like a cloud of black smoke around him at first, but it has since became clear that it was a red color that was becoming a shroud. New wounds even started to appear on his body in the form of burns that continued to spread along his skin.
Even with all of that being the case, his gaze remained locked in the distance before he took a deep breath. Once more, he was able to generate a field of focus and cause the entire world to slow down around him. His sense of awareness became intensified as every motion within his field of vision became something that can be tracked by his eyes.
Every single person that made up the crowd below became a data point in the mental calculations that were being made by Toku and, with the connection to his dear friend Debu, Toku was able to extend the range of his second level of vision and see in minor detail further than his standard view. He was able to determine the general location of his two companions and gather their wellbeing remained positive. That lead him to identified the location of his Sensei and confirm that his target was accurately placed within the village center.
It was in that moment that things began to change, and certainly for the worse. Suddenly explosion of Chakra could be seen from the Town Center which quickly turned into a flood of chakra being absorbed into the building center. Toku pressed with full momentum from the top of the build to launch himself forward on his path to the building as his eyes watched the identifiable chakra of his sensei slowly become volatile and distorted as a surge of smoke could be seen drifting from the town center.
The smoke started to create a thick fog in the immediate area that continued to spread until eventually the entire village was shrouded in darkness. It slowly became too thick for anyone to actually see anything, with the single exception of the Byakugan that does not need to actually see anything to observe what is around him.
This was the only reason that he was able to see as a Smoke Clone attempted to sneak up and attack him with a roundhouse kick. Toku was able to duck and avoid the attack and attempted to perform a sweep kick on the assailant only to watch his feet drift through chakra infused smoke. His own shock left him open to a solid straight kick to the chest that sent him flying off of the building.
“Keep moving forward…”
Toku gathered himself as he ran his left hand along his right arm towards his palm as the whip began to form and slide from under his skin covered in blood from tearing his skin. Once the seal was released Toku launched the whip towards a nearby building and pulled with all of his force to swing around the building.
“Never lose your focus…”
With the momentum from the charged swing, Toku began to fly through the air towards the center of the Village as more and more of the smoke shadow clones began to form with the clear intention of preventing anyone from getting anywhere near the source of their Chakra. The cloud became thicker with each passing second that it slowly became harder to breathe so he had to pace his breathing and focus on the goal.
“And when surrounded by darkness…”
More and more of the Smoke clones began to show up and launch an assault at the approaching target, seemingly thrown off by the ability of the young Genin from the Village Hidden in the Clouds to react in the middle of absolute darkness and maneuver while swinging from the buildings. This drive that was pushing Toku was starting to fade slowly as the weight of the cloud became too much for him to handle.
“Just continue to follow the light…”
His vision was the only thing keeping him moving, being able to see the flow of the chakra that was in the smoke and the veins leading back to the heart of its creation back to the town center where he knew his Sensei was and also capable of seeing the pain that his team leader was in. If this person was capable of catching a Jounin Level Shinobi from the Village Hidden in the Clouds, one of the five known Shinobi villages, there was little to no chance for Toku but that was not going to stop him.
“Leaving everything behind you…”
Too many times before had Toku allowed his own pain become fuel to create a sense of loss inside of him, which allowed for the world to move on around him while he focused purely on himself. Each of the clones sending their attacks without hesitation and Toku could only manage to avoid so many attacks as he continued moving forward. Using his chakra to release the whip from his right arm to aid in his progress, Toku pushed with everything believing that all he had to do was make it to Gadian.
“To finally make it to the end...”
His eyes allowed him to see the body of Gadian through the cloud of smoke, meaning that he was at least 100 meters from him with one final swing he launched himself. Just as is body broke over the peak of the buildings, he was struck hard by one of the clones and this time they did not simply hit him. The clone made impact and pushed with assistance driving Toku into the ground with a ground shattering crack.
"Nindo..."
His body finally gave in as the last thing he saw was the bright blue light of Gadian’s Chakra network start to rupture from the over consumption of chakra before total darkness consumed him…

~ In the Mind ~
It was truly a place of darkness, born from the pain of loss that Toku had endured and nurtured by the level of abandonment that he experienced without his parents in his life. Of course, the friends of his parents said they would do their best to be there for the young orphan but they had their own lives to worry about. Sadly, that was not the only reason that they slowly drifted from Toku and the fact that he never knew only fed the pain with enough fuel to become a true abyss of darkness.
This was the land of his thoughts, the home in which he would spend countless hours resting in order to find comfort from the world that he had to call reality. Here, it was nothing but pain that he could recognize and memories that he could recall with clarity that would keep each and every emotional wound fresh and unforgettable. The constant reminder that he was alone, no matter who said they would remain by his side, even with a team that he was assigned.
Each and every day that he would draw breath, he would ensure that he would never allow himself to forget that this world has nothing for him but pain. Eventually he would find a way to either end the pain that he suffers, or ensure that others understand how much pain that he was feeling. The thoughts of his mother and father were the only thing that kept him going, and they gave their lives to defend the Village Hidden in the Clouds of the Land of Lightning from the Eight Tailed Beast because the body that was the host was unable to contain the power.
After their lives were taken, everyone slowly moved on and none even speak of the sacrifice they made in order to ensure the safety of their home. Still they keep the Eight Tailed Beast for their own purposes as a secret weapon or tool in order to keep their forces strong, much like the other villages manage to do with their own tailed beast. Though Toku heard of Naruto Uzumaki, the Hokage for the Village Hidden in the Leaves, who was the body for Kurama the Nine Tailed Beast and could not understand how they could allow such a person, be a leader.
The danger that he posed to their village, or the world altogether, was not something that could simply be ignored but still many idolized the man and even considered him a legendary Shinobi worth respect and praise. Toku could not fathom such a concept and heard of other villages attempting to train their respective Jinchuriki, human sacrifices, in order to be capable like the Hokage only to fail countless times.
After the last Great Shinobi War, the fact that people allowed anyone with that kind of power to run free and not devise a way to eliminate them and their tailed beast permanently is truly a disgusting sight to behold. Through all of this malice, anger, and disgust none would be able to see such a cynical view of the Shinobi world through the eyes of Toku. Again, few from the Village Hidden in the Clouds knew what it was like being a bastard child of the Hyuga Clan constantly wanted for his Dojutsu by so many Shinobi and the constantly claims on his life as property from the Hyuga Clan themselves.
Then to be considered an outcast from the Village he calls home because his father was labelled a traitor to the Village Hidden in the Leaf for abandoning his Clan and also a target by his new home for being easily identified as a Konoha Shinobi. The only saving grace was his mother, who was considered a native child to the Land of Lightning but no detail ever prevented the Village from making requests of the Jounin to assist and all the same nothing would be reason for them to deny providing aid to their home.
“So much has caused you pain, and so many reasons to be angry.” A voice that was not Toku echoed throughout the darkness and startled him as he started to look around. His confusion only intensified when he realized that he could actually move around recalling this darkness only as his thoughts and never as a space to exist. Though all he could see was darkness all around him save for a few feet away from him where a wooden floor could be seen.
He lifted his hands and saw the details of his skin and but noticed that the alchemical formulas that he had written on his arms were gone, including the recent Whip Seal that was made by Debu and Sozo. He continued to analyze himself seeing that his entire body was bare, in regards to the art drawn on his body and the scars that he had acquired over the years. “But it is not rage that fills your heart…” The voice once more would echo throughout the darkness which brought Toku back into focus on whoever that voice was.
It had been a soft tone in the back of his head, whispering every so often but never enough for him to actually pay attention or even noticed with enough detail. “Who… What are you…?” Toku was unsure how to approach the voice, or even the situation of being in the darkness with a voice speaking to him.
“You can finally hear me?” The voice was soft, smooth, but with a level of energy that was pure excitement. “Like actually hear my voice!?” The levels of joy escalated rapidly with the voice, “I have been waiting for so many years for you to actually notice me!” A once inquisitive tone turned full exclamatory. Quickly a massive crashing sound could be heard from behind Toku, who responded with a startled jump and turned around to see the source of the sound.
“Oh darkest night, what are you for ~” Toku could not begin to wrap his mind around what he witnessed, but it was as clear as day before his very eyes. “Sometimes to wrestle, sometimes to rest ~” His view was consumed by the massive blue armored Rhinoceros Beetle with features that lead to only a single identification. “But always to cling to hope more ~”
“The Seven Tailed Beast, Nanabi…” There was the clear distaste of the name alone as Toku spoke through his teeth.
“Yes sir! That is me, the Lucky Nanabi. Chomei!” It spoke with joy in contrast to the anger displayed by Toku, “Eko said you would have a rough personality like Rosuto!”
Hearing the names of his parents was enough to set him off “Do not speak of my parents like you knew them!” It was obviously an issue for him to be dealing with this right now.
“I am sorry Regashi…” Chomei appeared sincerely upset that it bothered Toku, “But Eko was my Jinchuriki for some time before she passed me to you.” It had not dawn on Toku until that moment that this interaction could mean that he had become one of those pitiful Jinchuriki and the fact that his mother was being called one was revolting. “I know you do not like Bijuu… But I respected Eko and Rosuto…”
“And we respect you Chomei.” Yet another voice spoke up, but this was one of familiarity. Toku turned to look around for the source to lay eyes on his mother.
“Mother…?” Just as he spoke, next to her appeared his father, Rosuto “Father…?” Such a sight could not be understood as he ran forward to hold on to his parents. “You’re alive…” He could not hold it in as the tears started to roll down his face.
“My child…” Eko attempted to speak, but she could not manage to find the right words.
Rosuto slowly pulled Toku away, “Each of us put a bit of us in the seal to place Chomei with you, so that you could keep your promise,” There was a pause as Toku attempted to gather himself, with little success, and recall the promise. “Which was to become stronger than your father and to protect what you care about.” Those words hurt, because the two people he wanted to protect most stood here in his mind reminding him of their death.
“The seal on Chomei has weakened, due to the multiple seals you have gathred, and therefore their power has started to bleed over.” She pulled her son in close, “You may not have the most positive feelings towards Chomei, or tailed beast in general, but they are part of you now and if you do not find peace within yourself, you will destroy those you actually care about.” Immediately Debu, Sozo, and Gadian appeared around him although transparent smiling.
“You must gather yourself Tokuigue.” His teammate’s forms revealed the last images he saw them as, damaged and nearly broken. “Or you will lose more than your friends."
“Though senses are dulled, desires awaken~”
Chomei continued to sing her strange song, as Eko started to join in. “Aching grows stronger, inhibitions are taken~”
“This song…” Rosuto spoke.
“Less seeing, less hearing, more hunger, more longing~” Their voices in pure harmony, “Answers are dimming while questions are thronging~”
“Was the one Seika sung to your mother when she was scared of Chomei’s power.” Rosuto continued.
Toku turned towards his mother and Chomei, “Grandmother Seika?”
“More drilling and more filling the canyons of my soul; more boring and more pouring darkness into the hole~” Rosuto simply nodded.
“I still plan to keep my new promise.” Toku spoke sharply as his father turned to look at him with an expression of mixed emotions as he knew of the new promise made on the day Toku was orphaned and made Genin.
“More stretching and more catching away my gasping breath; more tearing and more sharing in the union of life against death~”
“I will destroy all of the tailed beasts.”

~ In the World ~
A small crater was made just outside of the building of the town center, which was reduced to rubble from the increasing pressure of the smoke created by Gadian. Each moment increasing the strain and enhancing the torture that he was forced to endure by the technique that was being placed on him by this bandit. Even through all of the pain, the High Ranking Ninja Leader of the team from the Village Hidden in the Clouds kept his focus on one of his students, filled with grief that dwarfed the pain of the torture.
To see someone he trained, and knowing of the young man’s loss of everything in a single instance at such a young age was truly a sad thought. It hurt him more thinking that the other two may be in just the same condition in this village clinging to the hope that they were able to get out of the village in time. His only hope being what kept him strong enough to hold on with the idea that he will find a way to keep them safe.
It seemed that even the thought of trying to escape and helping them seemed to increase the binds that held him and intensified the pain that he was suffering feeling his own chakra swell and burn at his body. Through his entire overwhelming surge of chakra being forced out of his body and creating a fog in the city seemed to give way to an essence that was entirely unfamiliar. It would even be great enough for the bandit to take note as he turned his gaze towards the horizon attempting to see what it was.
The fog was much too thick for him to see through, which lead to a greater level of concern for what was brewing in the cloud. Throughout the fog, several of the other members of this bandit group were preparing their masks to manage through the cloud while many of the regular members of the city were frantically attempting to breathe through the cloud suffocating them. It appeared many were unaware of the dangers that were coming when they followed what orders they received.
Still, the potential leader (or at least the one coordinating the fog) decided to maintain his focus on the high ranking ninja before him. They were close enough to one another to actually see each other, and it appeared the technique in effect created a small field of invulnerability that kept both Gadian and the individual safe from the toxicity of the cloud. “Soon your Chakra will be fully drained, and your Kekkei Genkai will belong to me.”
He approached Gadian with a smile as he pressed his hand on the chest of his victim feeling gentle warmth, but Gadian would yell in pain feeling his skin burning at the touch. In an instant, the moment shifted as that essence that each of them recognized earlier grew closer and this time was heavier in the presence that it had. It caused actual concern in the bandit as he turned to look around rapidly attempting to discern what it was.
There remained the obvious problem of the thickness of the fog creating obscurity in every direction as the essence became an identified Chakra source. This time it became clear the direction that it was coming from and it was incredibly close at this point. Quickly he turned towards the source direction and a strange glow could be seen from the direction he was looking. “What in the world is that!?” It was clear that the man was startled as the glow broke through the smoke and revealed Toku clad in a thick purple chakra.
For a moment the man was startled before he began to chuckle, “Oh, the little boy seems to have a little extra fight in him.” Although the chakra was thick and potent, the obvious wounds on the body of Toku created the idea that the young shinobi was but a few seconds from collapsing and facing death. The purple cloak flared with chakra from the back creating four strange tendrils from his back as each of his two whips slid from his arms and proceeded to drag along the ground also covered in the purple shroud.
“Come child and allow me to introduce you to the afterlife.” As soon as the final word left his mouth, Toku twitched his left hand forward which propelled his whip forward with an incredible speed. The reach of the whip was unimaginable as the bandit narrowly avoided the attack. Still the whip lurched forward and collided with a nearby building completely shattering the point of impact and a few feet around the point.
The bandit froze for a second at the sight of the destruction caused by the whip from a genin, something that he was not prepared for and he considered many surprises from the Village Hidden in the Clouds. Such a power from a low ranking ninja was not possible and caused both intrigue and fear in the same instance. His head and gaze turned back towards Toku, whose expression was unchanging with both a sinister and yet passionate stare. It was a strange combination of pain being endured and passive tranquility that brought increased curiosity for the bandit.
“Dust Release: Ashen Barrier.” The Bandit quickly clapped his hands together and performed a few hand signs, and by doing so caused Gadian to once more yell out in pain as the binds holding him in place began to glow as well as the various seals placed on his body. Instantly the immediate smoke gathered around both Gadian and the Bandit in order to create a barrier.
Just as the barrier began to form, Toku twitched his right hand forward and launched his other whip as he recoiled his left arm. The whip broke through before the barrier formed which was unexpected and was enough to catch the bandit with a strike, but it was only able to strike against his shoulder and cut him open before he was able to avoid the rest of the whip blades. The barrier started to close around the whip, stopping short of the shroud but starting to eat away at the chakra. Quickly Toku pulled his whip back as the barrier closed.
With a rapid reaction, he launched whips up and brought them both down with all of his might as it collided with a dense portion of the cloud and bounced off of it. The source of the barrier was Gadian meaning that the amount of Chakra being used was too great for the strength of Toku even with his temporary change in state. Still he continued to assault the barrier with a barrage of attacks, his eyes focused on his target. No matter how thick the cloud became, and no matter how far his mind had gone, he was still a member of the Hyuga Clan with the power of the Byakugan.
After a few minutes of his multiple strikes on the barrier, several bandits appeared clearly displaced from their Shinobi guise and revealing the mercenaries that they were. Each one armed and ready to deal with whatever challenge they would have to face but none were prepared to face a Jinchuuriki. Each one approached seeing the genin, and thought that it would be an easy task but a handful learned quickly the false security they had as Toku swept his left hand around and launched his whip horizontally along the ranks. The first one struck suffered the full damage of the bladed whip and the subsequent targets were struck by the body of an ally or the rest of the whip that bend at the body and wrapped around.
Many found a way to avoid the attack by ducking, or leaping, out of the range of the whip as Toku pulled back on his weapon aiming to retract it which cause anybody in contact with the shrouded metal to be shredded and bleeding heavily. This took out a handful, since their protective goggles only prevented the burning sensation from the toxic cloud in their eyes but did not truly give them clear visibility. Toku, on the other hand, was able to see quite clearly (so to speak) with his eyes closed as each person could be identified by their chakra in a way that provided ‘sight’ to him.
This gave him a clear advantage as he continued to literally tear through the ranks leaving an increasing body count and few to determine the actual state of being for their allies. This cloud that was created became the downfall of their existence as each and every body became a corpse within a matter of moment. Each life extinguished gave off the last bit of Chakra that was consumed by the Chakra Cloak that covered Toku increasing the thickness and slowly hiding the human form that was underneath.
The purple aura transitioned from the layer of chakra to an actual appearance of a figure reminiscent of a winged insect. Though only two wings could be seen slightly and were easily missed when the whips continued to flail indiscriminately. In a fit of rage, Toku launched himself away from the town center and continued to assault every person that he could find using his Byakugan to hunt each and every Chakra Signature that he could find.
There came a point when the bandits and the civilians that were escaping blurred to him and became nothing more than targets to destroy and fuel for his power. Each person screaming into the darkness, the black cloud consuming their senses before the Kabutomushi Murasakiro, the Purple Beetle, destroyed everything around them.
Slowly the purple chakra skin became solid enough to identify the resemblance of a beetle in form with a massive horn coming from the head and another pair of wings started to form in detail. The creature eventually found the power to take flight, although temporarily enough to hover before landing once more, and used that to increase the range of the hunt. Not a single person knew what was going on until the beast found a way to come across their path, and by that point they were unable to escape.
Screams for help, and mercy was drowned out by a distorted shout. “I will destroy all!”

The roar seemed to flood the entire village, which has been slowly been reduced to ruins by the rampaging creature. The remains of the village have been painted by blood, but there still remains several sections that have been relatively untouched by the direct assault though many still have the same paint scheme as the rest of the village ruins.
It appeared that the beast was not done with the destruction and death that it had blessed upon this isolated village. Fueled by the rage of the body that once held the power back, this small being had grown to become a massive monster that could see perhaps a handful of people in the distance but had no means to directly deal with them and focused the anger on the village that was beneath it.
Eventually the constant swiping of the whips and flap of the wings were potent enough to thin the black cloud that had consumed the small village and revealed how much death had truly occurred but left the creature completely unfazed as it turned towards the town center once more and this time fully capable to see the barrier with the dispersed clouds.
Slowly the beetle raised its head as it flew higher into the air, each second a black and purple mass began to generate from the region between the mouth and the horn of the beast. The obvious signs of chakra being generated was seen, and those that remained in the village and alive enough to witness finally was able to both observe and understand what it was that they were facing. Many have heard the tales, few knew the value behind them, and even fewer immediately were able to recognize and identify what it was that they were witnessing.
Still, those that had enough knowledge to understand knew the danger that was literally forming in front of them. This was especially true for the high ranking shinobi from the Village Hidden in the Clouds and his captor who gazed upon their impending doom. It was clear to both of them that the barrier would not be able to withstand the force of the attack and there was no way that either of them would escape the attack no matter how fast they would try.
“Let me go.” Gadian spoke, through strained teeth as blood shot from his mouth showing the damage from the technique that was wearing down on his body. “Our only chance to survive is if you let me go!” He shouted even though every single syllable was literal torture on every inch of his body. The captor turned to look at the Jounin with a look of fear and shock at the events transpiring.
“What in the world could you against a Jinchuriki…” He turned to look at the beast in the air, “No… A full blown Tailed Beast.” The man fell to the ground on his knees in complete defeat as the seal placed on Gadian was released, “This is the end…” His words had spoken the sounds of surrender clearly.
Gadien fell to the ground but only a few seconds passed when he felt the support of somebody holding up enough to kneel. He turned his head to see who it was that was holding him to lay eyes on Debu, who kneeled beside his sensei holding him up with one arm while being careful not to stress any of the wounds that Gadian suffered from the previous technique. “Why are you still here!?” Gadian shouted, but before Debu could form a response Gadian began to violently cough as blood splashed on the ground.
“We couldn’t leave the team behind.” This voice was all too familiar and Gadian only needed to see the pants of the individual approaching and speaking to realize that it was certainly Sozo. “We couldn’t find Toku though…” She spoke softly with concern in her voice.
“Because that is Toku.” Gadian spoke sharply.
Both Debu and Sozo turned towards the tailed beast in the air in total fear and panic, but that quickly evolved into despair and concern. Neither knew the troubles that Toku was handling, because those from the Village Hidden in the Clouds are told of the dangers of being a Jinchuriki because of the Eight Tail Beast Gyuki. The loss of control, fits of rage, shifting of emotions, and constant voice that rings in your head. Not to mention the complicated chakra control due to the bleeding of the Tail Beast Chakra.
Then Sozo came to the realization, “The seals!” Both Gadian and Debu looked at Sozo in confusion, “The seals made this happen.”
“Yes, Sozo. The Iron Seal is used to seal a tailed beast-“
“No! The formulas, the tools, and the weapons.” Both of the guys started to follow the thoughts, “So many seals on his body weakened his ability to maintain the Iron Seal, since it is not as potent as the seal used on the Hokage.” Debu nodded in agreement acknowledging the point, “But if we can release all of the seals on Toku we can potential aid in the recovery of his body!”
Debu smiled at the thought, believing that it could be possible, “Even if the seal could be reinforced, once a Jinchuriki loses control like this their mind is gone.”
“Not gone…” Sozo spoke softly, “Toku is still in there and we can get him.”
“Sozo, it is over-“
“Then you stay there and bleed out.” She spoke sharply this time as she motioned Debu to follow. There was a pause but Debu gently placed Gadian on the ground and stood up. “Debu, as soon as I release the seals, I need you to take us to his mind. We have to believe Toku is in there.” Debu nodded at Sozo as they both stepped towards the beast seeing the massive ball continuing to grow, the sign of absolute destruction.
“Release.” She clapped her hands together and formed a duo of hand signs alongside Debu as it started to rain randomly medical tools and even strange color liquids which had scents ranging from wonderful flowers to toxic mixtures. “Now!” Just as she spoke, the beast started to move its head meaning the release for the tail beast bomb was coming.
“Tranquil Art: Mind Warp Jutsu!”
Time Froze.

Time Froze.
