There was a silence that filled the area after Tenjinsai had finished speaking. It was slightly eerie, not being entirely sure if he had said too much or perhaps even not enough. Though, just from the look in Nanaomi's eyes, he could tell that she had both heard and understood what he had said. Tenjinsai had, in essence, imparted everything that he and the Soul Society was to her. A great portion of their history, what his own personal ambitions were, as well as the entire spirit of what the Gotei Thirteen was. There was truly little more he could impart unto her; a fact that caused him to realize something. Tenjinsai had not really asked many questions about Nanaomi and her own culture. It had crossed his mind multiple times at this point, but never had he actually posed the question. The young man knew who she was, what she was, and where she had come from; but not much more then that.

Their military's command structure was similar to their own in a way, and the people also sounded like soldiers. She often spoke of pride though, something that was clearly rather important to her and her people. What this pride was for and how it manifested though, that he did not really know. Everyone had pride in something or for someone, that was almost a near certainty for any being. The question now was, what did they have pride in. It could have been her culture, her people, even her fighting prowess; many shinigami having pride in that very same fact. Perhaps she could have been proud of her position in the military, the work put in and recognition offered by such a rank. It could have been any of the things he thought, or even many more beyond that. There was only way for him to truly find out, that would be to ask that very question.

"So, Nanaomi." Tenjinsai turned his head slightly to the right, his eyes glancing over at her as he spoke. "I have told you most of who we are and why we do the things we do. You have done a great deal of the same but, I have one further question." He paused for a moment, trying to think of the proper way to phrase the question; wanting to make sure to ask such a thing correctly. "You have spoken often of your pride, and the pride your people have. But, just as you asked what drives me and my people, what drives you to do what you do? You never had to come here and help in these conflicts, but you did. What makes you do what you do?" From there Tenjinsai sat quietly awaiting the response from his female companion. He was truly interested in the answer, learning more about what makes her and even her people tick.

Nanaomi Sugowara

(707/1,351)

"Pride is a horrendous sin, sin my friend." She said, her first sentence to respond to his question. It seemed, short, and almost inadequate for answering it. In fact, it only really added more questions than answers. Standing up, the woman would cross her arms under her breasts, her tail freely swaying as it pleased behind her as she looked up towards the sky and began to speak yet again. "Saiyans are bred with an inborn primal instinct. It is rare for one of us to break from this instinct. Long ago, we were conquered by a being who had surpassed us in military strength. A tyrannical Lord that had control over thousands of star systems. In fact, he actually controlled nearly half of the Galaxy as a whole." She paused before her eyes closed. "We had lost basically everything. Being reduced to a massive army for the whims of this lord. We were born warriors. Our primitive instincts, eventually evolved into pride of our own power. Our strength. The strength of a single Saiyan had become so unbelievably strong even at a young age that we grew blind in our pride."

Her energy seemed to fluctuate slightly as she felt the welling annoyance at the thoughts she was having. The anger welling up with in her like a wild fire on the brink of a back flash. "Children, after their first born, are read for their base combat level. Once their power is categorized, they're sent via pod to a planet. Where they single handedly either destroy the entire planet, subjugate the inhabitants, or die in the process. This, is what a Saiyan's pride amounts to. How many millions of people one has slaughtered. How many planets, warriors, Armies. How man deaths your blood stained hands truly harbor." She paused for a moment before looking down at her hands which she had only just placed before herself. "This strength we possess has forced us, instinctually even, to seek out even more strength. Hell, we even have a natural adaptation to combat. It's known as Zenkai. Saiyans who are near death, but survive and heal become exponentially stronger from the feat. Saiyans are, the universal embodiment of raw, animalistic, basic killing. We are.....The plague of death that ran rampant through the galaxy. Known far and wide for our feared strength. At least, we used to be." She said, her voice tapering of slightly as her hands returned to her sides. "Eventually we grew complacent in our lives of warriors. If you could even call us that.

We eventually became too strong and the Tyranical Lord attempted to murder every last Saiyan in existence. Of course, that's when the 'event' happened. So to answer your question. As to what drew me here. Drew me to you. To this place.
" She turned to look at Tenjinsai dead in the eyes, as fire seemed to soar in her eyes, her pride and want for combat burning brighter than ever. "Is because you and your Father are well beyond the known strength we have cataloged. Every fiber of my being screams at me to fight you, your Father, and every last creature here that has such massive power. It's nearly unbearable! Think of the pain, the ANGUISH it causes us. We live only to fight those that outclass us beyond hope of winning. Beyond even our own powers. And why? Because the universe gave us a curse, a drive and the ability to surpass any and all foes that bear down upon us."

Nanaomi's hands clenched tightly into fists as she started to raise her voice. "THIS, is why I am here. THIS IS why I exist." She paused before her energy started to flare, increasing in potency as she screamed at the top of her lungs. "SAIYANS FIGHT TO BE THE STRONGEST. WE ARE BRED TO KNOW ONLY THE HEAT OF BATTLE, FORGING OUR OWN PATH THROUGH THE BLOOD OF OUR FALLEN ENEMIES!" Her power began to raise even more, causing the ground to start to shake. Her eyes burning a bright purple as her body began to be encased in a fire like purple aura which whipped and nipped at the air around her.

"THIS IS A SAIYAN'S PRIDE!!!!"

Re: The Final Showdown

Post by Tenjinsai Bushinji on Fri Mar 02, 2018 1:24 pm

Tenjinsai sat quietly as he listened to Nanaomi speak her mind. The given explanation started quiet, inflective, and to be honest somewhat dark. She spoke of how their children were graded essentially from birth. They would be born, assessed based on latent ability, and then sent off as infants; in essence to commit atrocities around the universe. They would grow up on these planets and destroy them in service of whomever this overlord was. The things that she depicted her people doing, it did set Tenjinsai off slightly but at the same time he had felt somewhat grieved for them. They were in truth warriors, somewhat savage even by the base animalistic instincts that Nanaomi had depicted, but they were also what were basically slaves in the service of a tyrant. Their choices were not truly their own regardless of what their instincts said.

Could he truly judge the actions of her and her people based on the whims of another. If he reflected on his own people the same atrocities could be found in their history, just as any other species to be certain. The only difference was, they had done so of their own volition instead of being dictated by a greater being. Of course there was a just reason behind it, as there always was when two sides came to conflict. Each party would always perceive themselves as doing what was right regardless of which one was truly correct. Then again, the famous phrase always was that history was written by the victors. Atrocities could be covered up as acts of retaliation or in the general interest of their people, etc etc. This was something Tenjinsai was certain he himself would face in the future too. He was going to be the leader of his realm and all that it included.

Though, from what Nanaomi had said, he was certain he could be a better leader then what the saiyans had been subjected to. Things got slightly explosive though toward the end of her speech, confusing the typically unnerved shinigami. Nanaomi began to scream at her highest volume, her power rising; purple energy rippling around her as she settled her gaze down on Tenjinsai. The ground began to slowly rumble as she praised the strength that her and his father, as well as many of his people possessed. Ever fiber of her being had called her to bring battle upon them, testing the limits of her abilities against the shinigami that possessed strength beyond what they believed possible. It certainly had taken Tenjinsai off guard somewhat, their civilized conversation turning into something he could not quite describe off hand.

Brushing his clothing off of the bits of dust and dirt that had gathered from the release of energy, Tenjinsai stood slowly; straightened his haori after standing; and folded his arms inside of his haori sleeves. His own reiatsu slowly rose to combat the incoming effects from Nanaomi's energy. Though only enough so to keep everything nice and even at this point. The young Captain Commander was not quite in the mood for another fight at this particular time, and he was aware that perhaps pressing the wrong button on this woman could set her back into a frenzy which he had briefly witnessed against Captain Hikaru. She was certainly impressive though now that he truly took a full look at her strength. Tenjinsai had of course felt it previously, but he never actually examined it without interruption or distraction. It was certainly different then their own reiatsu, but similar as well.

It was a power derived from within ones own body that could be cultivated, polished, and continuously expanded. There were however some distinct differences between her energy and the shinigami's reiryoku. Nanaomi's power felt more, airy, perhaps even uplifting and encompassing. It did not weigh one down or oppress them the way that ones reiatsu did. The two sources were different, but the same as well, it was an interesting thought to be certain. It was impressive even more so that this woman had been capable of fighting against a Captain toe to toe and defeated them in battle. These individuals were the strongest of the shinigami and highest ranking officers within the Gotei Thirteen. It was curious for someone to be so strong, the same observations Nanaomi had made of Tenjinsai and his own people being reflected in kind.

The shinigami had ever watched after the spiritual world and protected the physical realm from the dangers the former posed. When humans had actually stepped forward with a modicum of strength, it was always looked at with whimsy and wonder as though they had stepped straight out of a fairly tale. For a being of the physical realm to possess such strength, even if it was not enough to touch their own power, was rare. Yet Tenjinsai now found himself gazing on someone from that plane of existence, not quite a human, but certainly no spirit, possessing power far beyond what they should be able to hold within their body. He was just as interested as she was, just, in a different way. "You are a marvelous and unique being Nanaomi, truly."

He paused a moment, his arms sliding out from his haori, his hands then resting upon his hips as he looked her up and down. "Though you are not a human, you are similar to them in that you have a physical body. It may be a strange though but, my body itself is not a physical entity that one can see in the World of the Living. Individuals possessing little power cannot actually see us. We are made up of reishi, that is essentially a spiritual essence that also forms our powers. It is because of this fact that we can push our bodies to such limits and gain such power, we have no physical limitations. Yet..." He paused again, his arms this time crossing over his chest as he began to slowly pace back and forth in front of Nanaomi; occasionally gazing over to her as he spoke.

"You possess a physical body and your power has exceeded anything we had seen of humans to this point. There was only one true exception to that rule prior to you, but he was also a very special circumstance that even I do not know the full details of. Simply put, I am just as intrigued by you as you are of myself and my people. I of course have no intention of ever making those interests physical, it serves no purpose for us to cross blades and cause pointless destruction." He stopped dead taking one last step, pivoting on his right foot to face directly toward Nanaomi, his gaze resting deep into her eyes. He had a though, a very strange and unorthodox one that was certain to receive backlash from the other Captains. He did not care though, she had helped him and the Soul Society out immensely in the conflicts that had occurred.

In essence Nanaomi had assisted him in bringing an end to the war, something that he would always be appreciative of. She was of course invested in her own people, needing to help lead them into the future as well. Perhaps though until the time was right for her to take the throne, he could extend an offer that would be in the interest of diplomacy and friendship. "This is very unorthodox, and I assure you has never been done before in the history of the Soul Society. However, I would like to extend to you an offer to actually join us, for the time being. I fully understand you have your own responsibilities and people to lead, and when the time comes for you to lead them you may of course leave of your own cognition." He paused again, this time moving closer to the woman and placing his hands on her shoulders, the two being no more then three feet or so apart.

"Despite us knowing each other for a very short period of time I feel we have come to be very close in that time. We have each learned a great deal about each other, the culture of our people, and forged a friendship that will last into the future. That is why I believe I can trust in you and ask you to join our ranks as a Captain. Your strength is something we could use in the coming times, rebuilding the Soul Society and reconstituting the Gotei Thirteen." He jostled her slightly in his hand before letting go and crossing his arms over his chest. His head tilted just barely to the left as he leaned in ever so slightly. His eyebrows perked as he asked for her final answer. "So, what will you do Nanaomi?"

Nanaomi Sugowara

(1,331/2,682)

Nanaomi watched, listened, and examined Tenjinsai as he got up. His movements being examined in every intricate detail she could follow. Her eyes seemingly darting across his whole body as every muscle he moved was examined in detail. She was waiting, searching, hoping for a movement that would lead to a fight. Is this what she had come to? A demon that lusts after death like a dancer at a burlesque parlor? How sickening it was to see her in this state. But she was oblivious to how disgusting she really appeared. It was sad to even think about in any manner only offering pity for the circumstances. It was then, Tenjinsai began to speak. He had begun by appealing to her scientific side. Her lust for combat was matched only by her interest in science, or more specifically her love of energy based things. As he talked, she could feel his energy begin to raise only to equal her own. Although normally, she would begin to raise her energy once she felt another do the same, something inside of her almost begged her not to. Or rather, convinced her that wasn't a good choice to be more accurate. Her eyes blinked for a moment as she was suddenly blindsided by his comments, leading towards a question.

Before she realized it, her posture had shifted to standing straight up with her arms resting at her sides in a less aggressive stance. Almost as if she was trying to understand what he was saying. He had mentioned a previous mortal that reached levels close, if not surpassed her own. The interesting aspect being that she was an alien on multiple grounds. But the most interesting thing he said, caused Nanaomi to almost take a step back. He had asked, for her to join as a Captain of the Gotei Thirteen. Strictly as an offer of allying both the Shinigami and the Saiyan race. Her mind started to explode with ideas, thoughts, and concerns of science, logistics, and even thoughts of her own people. However, the most striking thought she felt was when her mind shifted to her past. She had remembered her parents in the yard of their home as a child in Central City. The words she heard her father speak rang in her ears like a beacon tugging at her heart. '[color:ccea=#cyan]Even if she does, she'll be strong enough to stand up for what's right. Not like I did.' Nanaomi's eyes closed as her energy began to fluctuate, a soft warm feeling began to emanate from her as it was battling an almost cold feeling aura. She was now in the midst of a mental battle between her past and her present, to figure out her future. Every past event started to flood across her eyes like a film in fast forward. Every decision she'd made up to this point and every consequence of those decisions. So many people died because of her. So many people lost families. So many mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers were left disappointed, saddened, and even depressed from her actions. Her own parents included. What had she become? She let her Saiyan heritage and primal instincts get the better of her far too many times. She followed like a sheep to the whim of her teachings that she knew deep down was against what she believed in. What her parents tried to teach her. And instead of following in their example she fell into the same trap that her father fell into. The same trap that every other Saiyan suffered from.

The bestial conception of 'Pride' which had become contorted and twisted to most Saiyans. Some, suffered from the rare disease in which they found sexual attraction to combat. A defect that Nanaomi also suffered. However, she tried to hide it as best as possible. It was difficult when battling those quite stronger than her. She shook her head before standing up to her full height of five foot thirteen inches. She would allow her energy to slowly start to taper off and recede as her appearance became less and less violent. Her tail also becoming less active as it receded to hiding back behind her belt. A soft sigh escaped the woman's lips as her eyes opened, arms crossing over one another as they rested under her bust. "What have I become, to be so easily ready to combat someone I had just recently fought to protect. Perhaps you're not the one truly in need, Tenjinsai-san. But perhaps I am the one who requires the assistance..." She paused before looking over at the two captains still lying in their previous spots but coming back to consciousness finally. "I accept your offer. It would do me well to follow in my Parent's footsteps. If there's one thing that this whole debacle has taught me, is that the Saiyan race as a whole has gone too far in the direction it's been going. If we're to live properly in this universe, we need to seek a better method than cold blooded murder. Besides-" She paused before looking back and Tenjinsai with warm smile. "What better way to kill two birds with one stone. Learn more of your people, and culture through physical observations or tests and learning what it truly means to be a good person. Which I firmly believe you and your people will be able to provide me." Nanaomi said as she extended her hands forward to clasp Tenjinsai's arms for a moment as she spoke. "I humbly accept my friend." She said, before her hands retracted to her sides and she preformed a full bow of respect which Japanese culture dictated. It was interesting that both cultures had grown with the same speech and a large portion of the same customs. At lest, socially. For the most part.

Nanaomi's mind started to race, wondering what was coming next. There were thirteen squads form her understanding. She didn't know about any of them and yet, she found herself almost giddy with anticipation as to what could be next. She could end up in any squad, for any reason. Hell, she could very well end up in a positon that she never knew existed. She was vastly curious as to where she would be assigned. To the point that she wanted to know what all of the different Divisions actually did. She was ready to ask before she decided it might not be a good idea to jump into this conversation just yet. At least, not bombarding the poor man with a million questions about each division. Her eyes seemed to have a soft twinkle in them, showing her interest. It was then, a thought crossed her mind. how quickly she turned from combative to happy and grateful. Perhaps, she was mentally ill? It would be something she'd need to actually think about later. A soft sigh of content escaped Nanaomi's lips as she spoke up, finally ready to ask a question or two. "So, how will this work then? I guess I'd have to wear the uniform..." She seemed to trail off as she started to almost mumble about squads and positions before clearing her throat and chuckling softly. "I guess that's all for you to decide, Akushen-san." She had chosen a nickname which, if Tenjinsai was familiar with the way Japanese language worked was essentially a name created from both the words Devil and Boy, creating a new name to reference Tenjinsai's hollow powers. A soft, sly yet warm smile was now plastered across the woman's face. She was defiantly an interesting creature. That was for sure. But her hopes were that spending time with these people would help fix her mental instabilities to the point that she could eventually bring the Saiyan Empire to a new golden age under her iron boot. But for now, she would spend her time abroad as Taicho Sugowara. She kind of liked the ring to that.

Re: The Final Showdown

Post by Tenjinsai Bushinji on Sat Mar 03, 2018 1:03 pm

Based on the reactions Tenjinsai observed, it appeared that their conversation was heading in the direction he hoped it would. Nanaomi's energy began to lower down, after a strange fluctuation of the energy itself and the aura it exuded. Tenjinsai followed suit, his own reiatsu lowering back down to a resting state as the female saiyan's posture became less aggressive and more responsive to his words. He stood quietly and simply listened as Nanaomi began to speak, explaining herself and the inner turmoil that she faced. Continuing to remain content simply absorbing her words, Tenjinsai would finally chime in when he heard what he had hoped he would, a yes. She had accepted his offer to join the Gotei Thirteen temporarily as a Captain. Now that the offer had been confirmed and it seemed their dialogue was coming to a close, he now needed to figure out what to do next.

This was, as he had said several times, incredibly unorthodox to do. Nobody from the outside had ever been allowed within the Gotei Thirteen, let alone appointed to such a high position. Perhaps though with all of the strife that was occurring throughout the world, this was a time to change and step outside of their closed views. Things had slowly changed over time of course, such was the way of any society as time passed. Concepts that were once viewed as taboo or unspeakable became much more accepted in time. The Captain's that had been branded as traitors and turned into Vaizard's by Aizen's hand were eventually exonerated and even offered to return to the Gotei Thirteen. Some of them did, and of course some did not having become more accustomed to their life style, but it was an example of what could happen as time passed.

Vaizard's were still unfortunately still not looked upon in a great light, but were more accepted then they previously were. Few even existed to this day, he and his father being the only ones that Tenjinsai was aware of. That did not however mean that others did not exist, keeping themselves in the shadows so they would not be prejudiced against. So, while inducting Nanaomi into the Gotei Thirteen would not be received well, that he could almost guarantee; they would eventually come to see who she was and not what she was. Tenjinsai lightly clapped his hands together, somewhat excited at the progression of things, forming plans within his head as far as what needed to happen now. "Alright, well the first thing we need to do is still check up on the others that were fighting. I am sincerely hoping none of them killed each other.

The last thing I need is to lose more good people."
He walked forward slowly and then stopped short, crossing his arms over his chest as he tilted his head slightly. "As far as getting you situated, that will have to wait until after all of this is settled. A meeting will have to be called with the other Captain's and we will assess the situation and decide what needs to be done. You can be officially introduced to everyone as well, though you have already met most of them." Beginning to walk again, Tenjinsai paused just before breaking into shunpou, his heading turning back slightly as he looked at Nanaomi. "And do not call me that. You may refer to me by my name until your inauguration, after that you should refer to everyone via their position as they have earned the respect of such. In a private setting things may of course be different.

That can all be hashed out at a later date though. Now, lets get a move on."
With that Tenjinsai vanished using shunpou; heading off toward where the battle with the other five combatants had taken place.

Nanaomi Sugowara

Nanaomi listened intently, almost glued to the edge of the sentence as it was being spoke. She'd found something to occupy her time with that wasn't fighting. And it felt, great! Her eyes scanned Tenjinsai. His words permeating her mind, absorbing his sentences to understand every aspect of what was happening. An abrupt stop lead her to be explained of the current goal. A hearty nod was her only response. Which, was stopped short once more before the man had entered his own rapid movement variant. He explained about the proper use of etiquette having now been inducted into the Gotei, she would be expected to follow their customs as well as the rules that accompanied them. A soft sigh of displeasure as she had gotten to enjoy using nicknames for people since it was easier than remembering their names. But, alas, rules were rules. "Yare Yare Yare, I guess it can't be helped...Hai, So-Taicho." She nodded abruptly before entering Rapid Movement and making way towards where Tenjinsai had set his sights upon. The Senkaimon, at least she figured. Since Sansuka Makoto, Makoto, and the other Shinigami should have been fighting each other. Though, with being tasked with just dealing with them it was possible that Sansuksa had convinced them to all sit down and drink some Sake.

Of course, Nanaomi was oblivious to Sansuka's personality and so, she would have no idea this was a possible outcome. Granted, she did suddenly get the feeling she wanted Sake. This still boggled her mind, in that these cultures were so different, so far away, but yet they both had extremely similar mannerisms and customs. It continued to occupy her mind before her thoughts of gathering information about the way these new energies worked started to float to the forefront of her brain. Along with this, she was suddenly accosted to remember her scouter had actually fallen into disrepair from the previous fight. Something she didn't realize until now. Pulling the object out of her coat, she would examine it closely. A soft nod was her only indication of knowing what the problem was before stashing the object back. She'd need tools she didn't have right now to finish fixing it. Hopefully, everyone else was doing alright at least. Only time would tell. And time was starting to run short as it were.
