The Final Showdown

Post by Tenjinsai Bushinji on Sun Feb 04, 2018 10:44 pm

Leaving Mikoto and Saki behind to deal with those that remained, Tenjinsai tracked closely behind his fathers trail. It was difficult to follow, not because of sensing his reiatsu, but just purely keeping up with his speed. Tenkai was several times over the young Captain's age, and the experience there in showed. He was one of the most powerful shinigami of the current age, if not the strongest. Now Tenjinsai would have to go toe to toe with this titan of their time and somehow come out on top. This battle would not be easy, it would be quite hard fought; but deep inside he knew that victory would be his. Despite the great distance that was covered the travel took only a minute at its longest before the young shinigami found himself standing before the doors of the Thirteenth Division barracks. The great gates were closed and even barred, most likely to prevent his entrance.

It was of course a futile effort for those within to attempt keeping him out. There were no substances in the known world, barring perhaps a solid wall of sekiseki, that could keep him from going where he pleased. Tenjinsai extended his arm forward and positioned it facing palm out towards the door before him. In the palm of his hand a light blue glow began to emanate and solidify into an orb of energy. Within a few moments the orb expanded in size and then wizzed forward toward the door. "Hadou number thirty three, Soukatsui." The small orb collided with the gate and exploded in a massive display of power. Little was left of the door itself other then the furthest corners from the point of impact. The walls and ground were scorched and cracked as Tenjinsai proceeded forward, moving past the damage he had caused.

He did want to keep the damage to a minimum; after all he would have to repair everything when things came to a close. For the time being though, he needed to do what was necessary to complete his objectives. The young Captain strolled through the halls of the barracks, shinigami making a pathway before him as he marched through; not a one daring to get in his way. He was not in the business of shedding blood needlessly, that was what this entire ordeal was about after all, but he would use what force was deemed necessary. Whispers lined the halls as he marched through, various squad members pointing and taking among themselves in his wake. Tenjinsai was unsure if word had gotten out about what was truly happening. Given how everyone was acting though, it was somewhat obvious that they knew, at least to a degree, what had occurred.

It did not matter though what these people knew or thought, they would appreciate the efforts in the end when the Soul Society was returned to its former glory. Rounding the final corner that would lead him to the Captain's Quarters, Tenjinsai halted his advance as two familiar faces impeded his path. Once again Hayashi and Tsunkai stood before him, barring his path and most likely to sway him from his current path. "Uncle, Brother, please step aside, I have business with father." Tenjinsai took several steps forward and stopped realizing that the two members of his family would not budge. Halting again he sighed lightly, his hand dropping low to hover over his zanpaktou as his reiatsu fluctuated outward. "This has gone too far Tenjinsai, we cannot allow you to do this. If you raise your blade against your father it is tantamount to treason."

Anger flared up in Tenjinsai as his reiatsu continued to rise, the ground beneath him quaked, cracks spreading around and travelling up the walls under the enormous weight of his power. "You would dare to say I have committed treason!! How many lives hang on each of your blades, on fathers sword!! How many people have to die before you stand aside!!" The young Captain's right hand gripped the zanpaktou's hilt and ripped the weapon from its sheath. Flames had not yet spouted but a crimson red aura could be seen emanating from Tenjinsai and his weapon as his power continued to rise. "I will say this once more, stand aside!!!" The two would still not budge and instead drew their own zanpaktou, ready to potentially lose their lives for a cause that Tenjinsai could no longer believe in. He gritted his teeth as he raised his blade preparing to release his shikai.

"I know that one day I will feel the regret of what is to happen here today. But, the weight of the billions of lives on my shoulders call me to draw my blade and not rest until peace has been attained!! Prepare yourselves, for there will be no mercy this time!!"

Nanaomi Sugowara

(1,047/3,830)

Nanaomi's speed increased as she felt Tenjinsai's power begin to fluctuate. In the distance she could see a large explosion of blue energy and a good amount of debris mixed with smoke rising up form the position. It seemed he was inside that large construct. The woman's eyes narrowed as she looked towards the building, the length of her blade began to glow a bright purple in color as her energy pooled. Her flying skills were remarkable, dodging and tops of buildings and skinning past outcroppings to make the best time she could in reaching her destination. As the smoke started to clear, she could see the path which Tenjinsai had laid forth. A costly situation indeed. And more so, it seemed the demon boy wanted to avoid bloodshed as much as possible. A noble effort, one that the woman would attempt to uphold. Though, no promises were made in case she couldn't.

Almost as if it was a scene from an anime, the woman entered into the building, still flying at great speeds. The walls began to crack and buckle from her own charged energy and raw speed. But, the most miraculous moment happened which would leave quite a few Shinigami gasping and in awe. Like a scene form a hardcore anime, the girl would slow to a crawl, almost as if bullet time, righting herself after getting with in a few feet of the two men. She had preformed a perfect spin with her blade coming down in a vertical slashing motion. As she did, it released a high charged purple wave of energy which was coupled with her own voice. "Impulse wave!" the woman's voice echoed. Time seemed to stand still as the wave slowly left from it's position and started to head towards the two men. Yet, in an instant a loud explosion and purple light filled the area as the two were pushed to the right of Tenjinsai, clear out of the barracks.

Debris and smoke started to fill the area as the large woman set foot gracefully upon the wooden deck of the building, her voice accompanied by a soft smile started to rise up from the area. "Yare yare, this is the second time I've come to save you Demon boy." She said with a soft playful smirk as she passed by him with her blade's spine resting upon her right shoulder, still engulfed in bright purple energy."You better get going. These two are fairly strong. Not sure I can hold them off forever. So make this one count, huh?" She smirked as she looked back at Tenjinsai before walking forward, flaring her power, causing the walls to wane even more than they already were.

"Alright you two. Give a Saiyan girl a good time, huh? If it makes ya feel better, lets make it a threesome." Her voice teased as her blade lowered to the side in a diagonal position so it never touched the ground. With narrowing purple eyes, she would gaze beyond the debris and smoke to see the two men standing, unfazed by the attack. She figured they would be as she didn't put all of her might into the attack. just enough to push them aside and catch them off guard. The three would stand, staring at each other for a few minutes allowing any dialog between them to finish before the fight continued. This, also gave her enough time to think back on her energy manipulation training with Cador. Her eyes closing for a moment as the welling emotions filled her thought space.

She had done so many interesting things in her life, from unifying the Saiyan race all the way to creating new techniques that even their race's best couldn't come up with. It was beyond amazing the feats she accomplished, however, she tried very hard to hide her faults. One of which being, at her core, she was still Saiyan. A gift, and a curse for sure. Her lust of battle could sometimes be over powering when dealing with a situation such as this. It was, in her eyes, almost disgusting. Not for the obvious reasons though. Instead, she felt it was repulsive by the shear enjoyment she felt in the heat of battle with people that could actually kill her if she wasn't careful. The very thought of it sent shivers down her deviant spine.

This was, perhaps, her forbidden fruit of sexual tension in a way. But, that was a thought for another day. Right now, right here, she needed to focus on the two before her. A pair of Shinigami with unknown abilities, unknown powers, and equally staggering powers. It would be almost necessary to enter at least Super Saiyan three to combat these two effectively. But, she would try base form just in case she over estimated their strength. A wicked smile crossed the woman's lips as she lifted her blade and swung it down with even more power this time, causing part of the building to buckle. "Impulse Wave!" The wave was twice the size this time, showing it had doubled in strength since last time. But still not her full power. She wanted to make doubly sure they got the picture.

At the very least, she'd plan to keep them at bay for now. If she could win, well, she'd aim for that. But for now, her main goal would be to keep them occupied until Tenjinsai handled this massive fight with his father. She was almost hesitant to stay fighting here. In fact, she even spoke up about it. "Hey, you two. Mind if we go a bit higher? I don't want to level the whole barracks just from getting prepared to fight. Demon Boy would get pissy." She said, as if to jab at Tenjinsai's justice oriented morals. It's not that she didn't respect it. no, much the opposite in fact. She poked fun because she was rather envious that the man had a boundary, and wouldn't cross it if he could help it. As long as he kept to his pride, and never let go who he was, she would have no issue with his goals. Well, unless they decided to conflict with her own. And for now, it seemed they wouldn't.

Re: The Final Showdown

Post by Tenjinsai Bushinji on Tue Feb 06, 2018 1:12 am

Before jumping into the depths of battle Tenjinsai sensed another power drawing near, one he had felt before but could not quite place. Within a few seconds though the owner of said energy would show themselves, the woman who had helped him after fighting his inner hollow. It was mildly confusing to see her appear here like this, especially as her presence was not expected. A larger question was posed as well, how did she manage to even get into the Soul Society. It was not unheard of for outsiders to find their way in, such as when Ichigo Kurosaki and his friends had come to save Rukia Kuchiki. They had been aided by Kisuke Urahara though, a former Captain of the Gotei Thirteen and the First Head of Research and Development. The means that the man possessed were astounding in addition to his inside knowledge of how the Soul Society worked.

Regardless though, it would be a question he could pose to her later. For the time being she had offered her assistance in keeping Hayashi and Tsunkai busy for the time being; and though they had found their way to being his enemy in this moment, he did not wish for any of them to lose their lives. He took a slight notice of being referred to as 'Demon Boy' but would overlook it for the time being for past services rendered. Tenjinsai was not often one to get tied up in formalities or even remotely bothered by them; but he was also not in the greatest of moods. The young Captain's current state of mind was heavily perturbed at best with a mountain of stress on top of it. Once this was over he knew he would be a great deal more relieved, despite the restoration that rested beyond this conflict. Sighing lightly, Tenjinsai pressed onward toward the Captain's office.

He paid little mind to the gap in the wall where the three began their battle, his mind staying keen and focused on the task ahead. Striding forward, the young Captain stood before the door of the office and with a mighty swing sliced it clean in half. The door slowly fell away leaving a clean line of sight into the office and the individual residing within. Slowly stepping forward, there was now less then thirty feet between Tenjinsai and his father. The pressure in the room was palpable; as was the unerringly destructive energy that flowed throughout it. Everyone nearby knew to stay away as these two titan's were about to clash. Anyone unfortunate enough to be caught in their wake could not hold enough consideration once blades were drawn and matched in strength. Something strange caught Tenjinsai's eye though as he walked deeper into the office.

There was a large black box, it looked similar to a casket; but covered in chains and seals. He had never seen the object before, nor would he have had an inkling as to where his father may have gotten it. It was clear though that whatever was held within was something that was being planned on used in the upcoming fight. Tenjinsai moved forward cautiously, his reiatsu present and blade drawn. His senses were keen, or as sharp as they could be to attempt preparing for whatever was to come next. "You have truly grown strong Tenjinsai, more so then I thought was ever possible. I had always thought it would be Tsunkai who would follow in my footsteps." Tenkai paused, the two men staring each other down in a still, but intense confrontation. "Granted he has, but you have done so much more closely. The powers we possess are very similar, as well as the potential we both garner."

Tenkai lifted the black box and slung it up into the air over his body and slammed the case down in front of him. His hand glowed a bright green as it was waved over a set of seals on the box, allowing the box to begin unlocking. One by one the seals were broken, chains unraveled, and the casket slowly hissed open. With all but the last seal removed the box slid partially open, a sinister reiatsu pouring out from within, one that set Tenjinsai on edge. This was not a shinigami of any type, whatever was in that box was much more evil. In a single moment whatever was in the box slammed itself against the cover and broke through the last remaining seal that kept it confined. Tenjinsai quickly moved to his right, avoiding the toppling lid as it barreled across the room toward him; in what would have been a magnificent display of acrobatics if it was a person.

Turning his attention back to the creature within, the young Captain's eyes went wide as he set his sights on what it was. Every memory that had been awoken within him recently came running through his mind again as he recognized the beast for what it was. The creature that had been sealed away was a hollow; it was not just any hollow either, it was his own mother. As he gazed upon her twisted visage he pondered in despair, wondering if this was what he had looked like when his inner hollow attempted to take control of his body. Could the same set of circumstances that effected him have set themselves upon her too. If that was indeed the case it was clear that she had failed where Tenjinsai himself had succeeded. But what did all of this mean for his past and what he had known to be the truth. The very nightmare that haunted his youth had reawoken in this moment.

"Mother....What, what have you become..." In a single instant the fear and anguish that Tenjinsai felt turned into raw, unbridled rage as he turned his gaze upon his father's stoic figure. "What have you done to her!!!" The young Captain advanced forward but stopped in his tracks as the creature that resembled his mother roared at him and swiped blindly in his direction. Tenjinsai moved back several feet, analyzing the situation and then angrily turning his attention back to his true opponent. "Father, what....what horrible atrocities have you committed here. Why is mother...., Why is she a hollow!!" To Tenjinsai's own surprise, his father moved forward and stopped just beside the beast. It did not attack him nor did it even pay any mind to his existence. "What happened to your mother is of the fault of both of us. I cannot bare the blame in its entirety, but neither can you."

His father sighed deeply and raised his right hand up over his face as white particles slowly began to gather around him and pull together over his face. Slowly a mask that was stark white was held in his hand, similar to the very one Tenjinsai now possessed. Tenkai moved his hand slightly to the right, half of his face obscured by the mask he now held. "This is what we are Tenjinsai, not shinigami, not hollow, but something in between." His father lowered his arm as the mask dissipated; returning back into the nothingness it had been drawn away from. He then turned back toward the desk he once stood behind and sat down in the chair, his elbows propped up on the desk as he leaned forward. "I had hoped you would be spared from this curse, the sins of a desperate man trying to grasp faintly at the last vestiges of love that lingered in this world.

But I see that you as well were not spared from this darkness."
Tenjinsai was taken aback by all that had just been shown to him. He had remembered the series of events that led him to where he now was this day, but to now see that it was not simply a series of unfortunate circumstances, it was astonishing. It was still too incredulous, much too hard for him to fathom or believe despite seeing the truth right before his eyes. "I see that you still cannot understand what is unfolding before you. We are Vaizards Tenjinsai, you, me, and even your brother all possess this trait." Tenjinsai's arm slammed against the wall beside him causing it to crack and splinter lightly under the weight of the blow. He had interrupted his father's speech; not wanting, or caring, to hear the ins and outs of whatever he had to say. What Tenjinsai wanted was the simple truth of what had happened to his mother.

"I do not care what I am, what we are, whatever curse you speak of. What I want to know, is why mother is not only alive, but in this horribly twisted form." Tenkai's head lowered at his son's question, his eyes leering over the fine craftsmanship of the desk. Another sigh slipped from his lips, quiet yet distinct as it echoed throughout the room. "Both you and your brother inherited this, gene, lets call it, from myself. When she gave birth to you instead of remaining within your body it had instead attached itself to her. We had instead decided to claim that she had simply passed away during child birth then let the truth of what had actually happened get out." His head slowly came up, his eyes dark and empty as he met the gaze of his son. "If you had not wandered down there on that day you may have been spared from this fate as well. Her sacrifice, all for nothing..."

Tenjinsai's lids dropped slowly, his anger fading as the truth slowly set upon him. Everything was now in front of him as clear as the day was long. Every piece of the puzzle that was his life was now in place, but there was still one thing that he could not understand. "Why then, why would you keep her alive in this form. She is a shadow of her former self, why let her life in this agony!!" Tenjinsai's angered once again flared as he moved forward several steps, the hollow now aware of his presence once more that he had moved within its range. It hissed at him sharply, its arms raising up as it flex its claws. His father had stood up again, his hands still on the desk, leaning on them while his head still hung low, looking down toward the ground. "For over one hundred years I have tried to find a way to cure this, disease. Yet, no matter how fruitless the endeavor seems to be, I cannot let her go..."

Tenjinsai could understand his fathers feelings, but only to an extent. The true depth and magnitude of what the elder shinigami felt was beyond the scope that he was able to see and feel. But as real as those feeling may be, and even as much as Tenjinsai's own heart would yearn to actually truly meet his mother for the first time; he could not warrant such a vile existence. To be trapped within ones own body and perhaps even lose hold of ones self, it was a fate that he would not doom the worst soul to. "This has to end father, for both of you, enough is enough. What is left of mother is gone. Her essence has faded away within her body and only a mindless beast remains. Please...., just put an end to this madness." A harsh silence fell over the room as Tenjinsai's words marinated through those that were capable of understanding it.

Many moments passed with neither individual making a move, only the low growls and haunting breathing of the hollows in their midst echoed across the walls. In one sudden movement the silence was broken as his father stood up, straight and tall, and his right hand reached down to the hilt of his zanpaktou. "You know I cannot do that Tenjinsai. You have come here with conviction in your heart and resolve on your blade. Show me your spirit for the first time my son. Bare yourself to me in its fullest and destroy my will. If you can do that, I will abandon my ambition." The room slowly filled with reiatsu as the two Captain's unleashed their power. The entirety of the room began to quake and groan under the weight of their strength. For miles around the epic battle that was about to commence was known.

"Let us see who's resolve is stronger Tenjinsai!!" With those simple, yet lofty words spoken, the true battle for the fate of Soul Society had commenced.

The pressure began to rise as Nanaomi's scouter made loud clicking noises. It, however, didn't stop there. The rising of energy was so much, in fact, that it fried her scouter completely. The woman's left hand quickly pulled the object form her face as it short circuited and exploded. With a soft scoff of disappointment, she tossed it upon the ground. There were two major fights going on here. An almost massive family reunion in a sense. With Nanaomi caught in the center. What joy to be the odd one out. She paid no mind though, as she knew she had a job to do. The woman's eyes narrowed to see the two men now equal to her own height high above the area, so the fights would do little to interrupt each other.

It would take only a moment before Hayashi brought his right hand up, with the left bracing it by the wrist. With out hesitation a red orb formed at the center of the outstretched palm before shooting directly toward Nanaomi. "Hado 31, Shakkaho!" The red orb barrelled towards her with great speed. It seemed it was going to hit, at least, before the woman slowly lifted her left hand. As the energy was about to strike her full force, it ceased in it's position. The woman would speak out before it slowly disintegrated into small purple energy particles like wind carrying away dust.

Ḩ̶̖̻̞̝̾̍̒́̏̿̊͢͢͝ą̵̛̖̹͕̩͍̼̹̤͎̓͊̅͒k̸̼̭͉̯̔̃͂̊͜͝͠ą̛̛̳̥̣͚͔̳͍̬̹̓̆̀͘͡í̢̹̖̤̯͍̜͔̈́́̍̿͟͡

The woman stared down at these two men, an energy battle would be useless against her. But a melee battle would be their best bet. She'd made sure it would be the only way to battle her. At least effectively. And for now, it would be that way. The two men disappeared in an amazing array of visual architecture known as a Shunpo. When they reappeared, both men had aimed to bisect the woman in twine vertically. A feat that, neither accomplished due to fancy footwork which allowed her to force the two swords to collide with each other. A fancy tactic to use their own attacks against each other. Perhaps, the only way she could survive if she wasn't allowed to kill them.

It seemed what ever was happening down there became worse as Nanaomi felt a second energy source come into the mix. It was now, a proper four versus two. They were out numbered. 'So we're out numbered. The poor bastards don't know what's in store then.' The woman thought to herself as her blade lifted before a large purple energy wave sent the two men flying back a small ways. Right now, because of her unknown combat prowess, she had the upper hand. If the fight droned on too long she would lose her advantage. So, she had to try and put them out of commission quickly. Or, at the very least, one of them. Nanaomi's blade hand raised once more as purple energy charged for another strike. However, before she could begin to swing downwards, Hayashi had appeared before her and caught her blade, forcing her to be pushed back slightly in a deadlock.

Lucky for her, however, she had been keen on watching their movements. So, what happened next was to no surprise to her. As such, the pointer finger of her left hand formed a small blackish purple orb at the tip. The woman allowed Hayashi to win the clash by side stepping. This put the man leaning forward as the woman now was facing parallel to him. Over his back, Tsunkai had  charged towards Nanaomi. In that instant, the woman's left hand pointed towards Tsunkai to her right. The large blackish purple beam erupted like a cero from her tip, pushing the man several meters back and charring parts of his clothes. She now, stepped up her attacks to a level to be feared.

Now, she wasn't trying to grab attention. She was fighting for real. And a Saiyan, never lets a good fight go to waste. Before she could react however, both men were once again on top of her. Hayashi from above with a vertical slash and Tsunkai from the left with a horizontal slash. Now, would be a great time to use a move she had never used before. One she knew how to preform but yet, never felt the need to do so. In an instant, the woman's body melted away in vertical lines as if she'd been whisked away by some unknown force only to reappear several meters away. The two men, very quickly mind you, recovered from their position and laid eyes upon the woman's visage, seeing past the quick escape. They were talented, a true warrior and worthy of that Bushinji name if legends held true.

Which, so far, they did. Unluckily for Nanaomi, she knew little of these legends except that Tenjinsai's father had incredible energy that surpassed her own entirely. Even at full power she had no hope of matching him. Luckily, she didn't need to. Yet. With out a moment to lose, Nanaomi bolted forward as energy started to charge upon her blade yet again. This time, however, a small blackish orb appeared at the Ha, or tip of the blade. It began drawing in particles much like how a Cero operates. It was, Nanaomi's favorite moves. She would tend to use that charging style over others as it was more indicative of her style. Fear inducing to see it happen. The two men followed suit, charging forward with blades ready to pierce the woman clean through.

Before they met in a clash, Nanaomi's hands began to glow purple as well. This was odd considering both hands, her blade, and now a small orb at the tip of her blade. What was she preparing to do? Only time would tell. And it seemed time was about to show some of what she had planned. When the two blades were about to strike Nanaomi, she pushed them aside with her bare, left hand. It was quick, and barely able to be seen. But if one was able to catch it, the energy on the woman's hand acted like a blade itself, parrying their attacks and leaving them wide open for a counter. And counter she did, as the blade came crashing down causing a purple wave to push them back a third time. "Impulse Wave!" The woman shouted as she suddenly did a full spin before stopping and having her right side face the two men, blade with energy ball still attached pointed directly at them. Once they had been pushed a sufficient distance away, the blackish purple beam erupted from the tip of her blade causing a massive explosion of smoke, fire, and energy to occur.

After a few seconds, two men came flying out of the smoke, stunned by the attack. She was getting sloppy, using too many of the same attacks. It wasn't going to hold up if she didn't switch it up to something useful and soon. Nanaomi's body disappeared once more only to reappear next to Hayashi, kicking him firmly in the side and sending him colliding into Tsunkai where she whisked herself to meet the two. In that instant, her blade came crashing down on both of them, drawing a small amount of blood. Small, and not enough to actually kill them. In fact, it would be lucky if the cuts would stay bleeding. However, almost on Que, the two men would stop their falling by grabbing hold of their own Reiatsu in thin air, slowing their descent to a complete stop. The woman was impressed slightly, but not for long. They had, once again, disappeared and reappeared but this time, either side of Nanaomi a few meters away. What were they planning? Well, for now, she wasn't sure. But it couldn't be good.

Re: The Final Showdown

Post by Tenjinsai Bushinji on Wed Feb 07, 2018 5:29 am

Tenjinsai watched in earnest awe as his father flung himself forward, in an act of acrobatic marvel, clear over his desk and into some type of flying, spinning attack with his zanpaktou. The young Captain kept quick on his feet, utilizing shunpou to dodge to his right and widely arcing his dominant hand, swung his zanpaktou out at Tenkai. To a lesser opponent, the blow would surely have landed clean as he struck at his fathers blind spot while still recovering from his first maneuver; but Tenkai was no normal enemy. The elder Captain vanished in a unparalleled display of speed, completely avoiding the strike and reappearing up in the air above Tenjinsai. The young Bushinji leapt forward onto the ground into a roll and used his right foot to slow his slide and left arm to pivot around just in time to see the blow touch ground.

The ground quaked before the titanic might his father possessed, the floor being blown away cleanly from the strike, only a crater remaining where it once was. Tenkai slowly rearranged himself and turned his gaze back to Tenjinsai and in an instant the two vanished. They flung themselves around the room at high speed and took turns attacking and evading one another. To be fair though, the young Captain knew he was at a severe disadvantage in a striking match against his old man. Tenkai's physical strength was near legendary; each swing of his blade able to carve gashes into the earth if unrestrained. If the two were to trade blows Tenjinsai would not last long enough for this to truly be called a battle. He would have to stick to his own method of fighting, kidou. He would have to wait for the right moment to attempt an attack, not wanting to leave himself open for even a second; lest being struck down.

There battle continued on in the current manner for some time, the only evidence of their fighting being the destruction of the surroundings. In a time frame of less than a minute the room had been blown apart by the strength of their blows and weight of their reiatsu. Countless craters littered the landscape, some small and some vastly larger. The barracks had already been evacuated at this point with the two separate battles that were currently raging. Anyone who was smart enough knew to stay away from these conflicts unless they had a death wish. Those that were present now simply watched from several hundred feet away, blurs in the distance clashing and shockwaves ringing out into the throngs. No clear blows had been landed yet, simply being a dance of taking turns, each one narrowly avoiding a blow from the other.

Tenkai would swing his blade with startling precision, swiftness, and deadly might. Tenjinsai would then return the favor by unleashing a barrage of energy; using the various kidou in his arsenal to combat his father's freakish strength. Both knew the battle would have to escalate eventually, but they both knew what would come attached to that as well. Their zanpaktou were nearly the same, both fire, and both possessing very similar abilities. It would simply turn into even more of a stalemate if they were to fight all out. Something would need to be the deciding factor here, but what that would be was hard to say. For now they would just continue to dance, blades soaring just out of reach, narrowly avoiding slicing through flesh and bone. Burst's of reiatsu exploding off in the distance, barely missing their mark and the opportunity to steal the pace of the battle with them.

A moment would present itself to the young Captain though, just enough time to perhaps take control of the situation, or at least attempt such. Tenjinsai had avoided another strike from his father, an overhead downward stab that plunged down into the earth. The ground below quaked and split apart before his rapturous power, a crevice stretching out before him for several dozen meters that had just been given life. As his father pried the blade from the ground he used the precious moments he had to charge a deep blue orb in his hand. The glow grew and intensified, the size of the orb following suit with the growing light. His left arm faced forward, palm open and facing toward his father. He placed the hilt of his zanpaktou against the bicep of his left arm, the blade pointing over his left shoulder and out behind him, the extra leverage steadying his aim and preparing for the blast.

It had only taken a second to prepare, but it was just barely enough time as Tenkai had already turned and began barreling toward Tenjinsai, his blade bared and ready to strike. The orb grew expansively in the young Captain's palm, growing several times over in size before soaring forward. "Hadou number eighty eight, Hiryugekizokushintenraihou!!" The blast grew to a size that was several meters in diameter, fully enveloping his fathers form and well beyond that. The surrounding buildings that were still standing were blown away and destroyed by the raw power of the attack. The ground beneath it was pulled up under the weight of the beam and incinerated into ash that faded away. The destruction stretched on into the distance for hundred upon hundreds of feet, anything that found itself in the path of the blast having been completely obliterated.

Tenjinsai released a quick breath and then took a step back, his right arm moving back to his side. He did not drop his guard, not for a single moment, this battle was not remotely close to a conclusion. Those very sentiments would be given life as high up in the air the figure of his father could be seen hovering on reishi. The elder Captain slowly brought himself down to the now charred and destroyed ground. His clothes were a little worse for wear, parts of his haori and shihakushou now bearing burn marks. In several areas Tenkai's skin could be seen, light burns being evident upon it with small traces of blood. Tenjinsai watched his father inspect the wounds after he had touched down on the ground, looking them over with a look of interest on his face. "I am going to have to be more careful moving forward it seems. I did not realize that you were so proficient with your kidou. You must have put a great deal of time and practice into learning and mastering the art."

Tenjinsai gritted his teeth at his fathers words, the spirit of them being so nonchalant about what had just happened. If he had not been as quick as he was there was a chance that the fight could have been over then and there. Yet, even with such a display of the young Captain's power, his father was grazing over it as though nothing had happened. This was one of the factors that set Tenjinsai and Tenkai apart. It was something that he could not gap no matter how hard he tried simply because he could not alter the passage on time. The elder Captain had lived more then four hundred years beyond the entirety of Tenjinsai's life. He had fought countless battles and had gained experience from those encounters. How many times had his father been on the cusp of defeat, at the odds of losing his life to some wayward enemy.

One eventually gets used to such things, and that was something that Tenjinsai had simply not come to terms with yet. He had of course been in a multitude of battles in his life, many more over then most people would ever encounter. These battles though, they were not of the caliber that the two found themselves in the midst of now. The young Captain's experience in this realm of power was brand new regardless of whether he belonged there or not. Despite the overwhelming power Tenjinsai now possessed, he was not used to fighting others that could match that might. Somewhere, deep down within his being, there was still a fear of the duel he now found himself in and the power that his opponent possessed. The thought of losing, dying, and leaving all of his ambitions unfulfilled, it filled his soul with dread.

Since the beginning of the battle Tenjinsai had been at a subconscious disadvantage, one he was not even aware of, and continue to be unaware of for the foreseeable future. One day he would perhaps understand once he gained the same experience in battle his father had. Currently though, his father's casual behavior would still nag deeply at the young Captain. His anger flared slightly, his reiatsu rising along with it as he prepared another barrage of kidou. Tenkai, seeing the cogs turning in his sons head moved quickly to not give him the opportunity to gain the upper hand. The elder Captain pressed the attack, Tenjinsai doing all he could to just avoid the myriad of strikes let alone mount an offensive. He slid to his right avoiding a stab and then ducked down low as his father's zanpaktou flew over head in a wide slash.

Then, dropping down to the ground, Tenjinsai rolled along the ground to his left, a downward thrust striking the dirt where his heart had once been. Placing his right hand down as he rolled, the young shinigami stopped his momentum and flipped himself up back to his feet and quickly reached his left arm out, a beam of blue energy on the tip of his extended index finger. "Hadou number four, Byakurai!" The beam rippled forward, expanding in size as it covered the small distance between himself and Tenkai in the blink of an eye. That blink was enough time though for his father to still get out of the way, whirling deftly around it with shunpou and flinging himself forward toward his son once more. Again in Tenjinsai's left hand a light began to glow, this time a dull orange, which expanded outward into a rapidly rotating, circular shield.

"Bakudou number thirty nine, Enkosen." His fathers zanpaktou collided with the shield, cracking it severely but not managing to shatter it. Tenjinsai pulled by his right hand, the knuckles of his hand facing forward toward Tenkai as it began to glow a brilliant yellow. Around his hand reiryoku gathered quickly forming into a large orb enveloping the extremity. Then, backing up several yards with shunpou, Tenjinsai punched forward with his hand. The yellow energy that had gathered around his hand exploded forward violently; a massive beam of yellow reiryoku rushing toward his father. "Hadou number sixty three, Raikouhou!!" The blast ripped through the landscape similar to the previously used kidou, just not quite on such a grand scale. Even still, the raw destructive power behind it left immense destruction in its wake of what was not already blown apart.

From the resulting smoke that lingered after the attack, rapid movements could be faintly seen from within. Tenjinsai did not need to physically see for him to know that his father was approaching again rapidly. The young Captain raised up his left arm as Tenkai emerged from the smokescreen, blade raised high and barring down on the former. "Bakudou number eight, Seki." On the backside of Tenjinsai's hand a small blue disc quickly formed and blocked the impact of the elder Captain's strike. Extending his right index finger outward, he pointed it forward toward his father, a light blue orb again gathering at the tip of his finger. "Hadou number four, Byakurai." The orb expanded quickly and shot forward in a beam which was intercepted by Tenkai's zanpaktou; barely avoiding being ran through by the attack. An explosion erupted between the two as the blast was blocked and both combatants quickly wheeled backwards, gaining distance from the epicenter.

The two took a moment to breath, the intensity of the battle having their hearts beating loudly, adrenaline coursing strongly through their veins. Despite the small respite, the two never took their eye off of the other, not wanting to possibly give an opening or opportunity for the other to strike. Tenkai had seemed to be enjoying the battle, which served to only agitated Tenjinsai further. "You really are not going to make this easy for me. I suppose it should be expected, after all, you are my son. But still..." Tenkai paced lightly in a small area of several feet, his arms crossed over his chest but one eye staying glued to Tenjinsai. "To think you would have actually grown this strong this quickly. If I had known I would have kept closer tabs on you." His father shrugged as he stopped pacing, then turning to face toward Tenjinsai once again.

"Regardless, it is time we get this battle started in earnest. I hope you are prepared to see this through to its completion. We are enemies now Tenjinsai, and there is no mercy in battle for those you raise your blade against. Now bear witness to my power, the power of the man who will become Captain Commander. Unari, Oni Kokouo." Tenjinsai immediately rushed backwards several dozen yards with shunpou, gaining some distance between himself and Tenkai as the latter released their shikai. The young Captain had never actually seen his fathers released zanpaktou; only tales of the unbridled power contained within. As the torrent of flames poured outward around them, scorching the earth and turning to ash any rubble that remained, Tenjinsai could agree that the rumors were not true. What he bore witness to right now was not something that could be captured in mere words.

The rumors and stories that had been told paled in comparison and could never be true to what lay before his eyes. Through the flames the glint of steel could be seen as Tenkai wielded his fabled dual zanpaktou, Oni Kokouo. This was really happening, there was no turning back from the path the father son pair had been set on now. Tenjinsai gripped his zanpaktou tightly in his hand and swallowed hard. His resolve was steeled in the face of the overwhelming power he faced and he knew he would have to do all that he could to prove victorious at the end of their conflict. There was no holding back, no trick too dirty, he had to come out as the victor or die trying. Extending his right arm outward, Tenjinsai placed his left hand at the base of the blade and swiped it across releasing his own power as well. "Kiyomeru, Seijin Enma!!"

The blade of his zanpaktou vanished and turned into a living flame, wildly lashing into the air as it stretched from the hilt of his sword. His reiatsu turned from a vivid red aura into a sea of flame, similar to that of his fathers. From outside it would be near impossible for one to see the two combatants locked in a deadly duel. The myriad of flames that surrounded them covered the area and hid them from prying eyes as well destroying anything that dared come too close. From above one would simply be gazing down onto a sea of flames, the blaze released from the two fights spreading for dozens of meters around them as well as roaring high up into the air above. Now, with their zanpaktou released, the battle would begin in earnest. Only one of them would leave this fight as the victor, as well as possibly the sole survivor.

Only through sheer perseverance, skill, and raw unyielding power could one of them best the other. Tenjinsai was prepared to do whatever needed to be done for him to win, as most likely was his father too. The two fighters dashed forward toward one another, weapons at the ready, and colliding in a titanic display of power and destruction that rocked the Soul Society to its core.

Nanaomi felt the sudden shift as the world around her slowly turned to debris, smoke, dust, and eventually ash. This battle was turning into a farce for the three high above the two titans. Their very existence was a hindrance to the battle below. Nanaomi, however, saw it somewhat differently. They could be the opening that Tenjinsai needed should the moment arise. A sly smirk crossing her lips as the woman eyed the two before her. It seemed the battles were becoming serious, so, why not make it so here? With out hesitation, the ground started to rumble and quake adding to the pressure of Nanaomi's own transformation to that of the already heavy pressure of the two massive energies below her. With in the blink of an eye, the woman's hair grew three times as long, reaching down to the top of the back of her knees.

Her hair, a dark purple now as her power seemed to increase dramatically. The woman's eyes focusing on the two before her as she suddenly disappeared only to reappear behind them, her blade now sheathed. A soft chuckle echoing through the air before she planted a firm kick in the back to both of them. To her surprise, they would manage to block the attack with their blades in equally impressive manners. It would seem that fighting these two would yield a troublesome event. She needed to right this situation and end this in one shot, to leave her open to assist Tenjinsai if he needed it. How could she even do that at this state. They had too much stamina to even be caught by any attack she knew of currently. It was then, she realized the error of her ways. If she was going to defeat them, she'd need to put all of her energy into one attack, and strike them down in an instant.

Though, the moment she realized what she had thought of, her ideals quickly shifted. She needed to conserve her energy for now, save what she wanted to do for Tenkai. If he was caught off guard, she could theoretically deal a massive blow to him. A thought that lead her to think of what her final act would be. Which would come in due time. for now, she needed to deal with Tsunkai and Hayashi. But how? Perhaps forcing them into the fires of their family would do the trick. She would shake her head at this thought as that could lead to them being maimed irreparably. Of course, while she was thinking, her eyes seemed to stare past the boys. This, was cause for them to charge in and respectively plant a kick and punch to her stomach and chest area, causing her to fly backwards several meters before coming to a halt from shear power of will.

"Hatatatatata!" She said, her hands clutching her stomach for a moment. She wasn't prepared for that attack, and thus, surpassed her ability to parry. Focus, focus was what was necessary right now. With her mind steeled, and compartmentalized, she was ready to fight. A portion of her mind was now set to creating a way to release all of her power in a single blast, another part of her head was focusing on a way to surpass her current strength to get even more power into her body. And lastly, the rest of her mind was dedicated to keeping these two busy. As such, she could aim for a draw more than a win. This would bide her time, at least for now, to figure out her last few plans

She rarely went into something so head strong that she didn't have some sort of plan. This wasn't like her! Why was she here? The cursed Saiyan blood, and that was always the answer wasn't it? Her lust for power, battle, and strength knows no bounds. With her hands fully coated in the purple energy, she would enter a basic stance that left her wide open. Against a single opponent, she might be able to outclass them with her powers. But seeing as both of them were about the same strength, and close to her own, she'd have to figure out a way to eliminate one to even the odds. In that instant, Tsunkai had appeared before her with a horizontal strike of his Zanpaktou. In response, Nanaomi's palm would stop his sword dead in it's track, the energy around it acting like a blade of her own. A precise, and absolute tool, useful for close quarters combat. She could fight melee while still using her energy to combat her opponents. A clever tactic for sure.

Though, it seemed this attack was merely a diversion as a large blue wave suddenly engulfed the view she had behind Tsunkai. Just before it struck the man, he seemed to disappear, leaving it mere moments before she could put her hand up. In fact, it was too quick to do so, thus striking her directly head on. A portion of the blue orb seemed to curve around the woman as if to dissipate a portion of the attack, but the rest surely struck. When the dust cleared, their assumption was correct, as she held a burn mark on the stomach of her uniform, exposing her skin. A small bit of smoke still escaped from her left arm and stomach area where it made contact with the skin. The left brow of the woman's face perked slightly in interest. If this was how they were going to fight she'd need to speed up the process of designing her last moves so she could fight on par once again with these two.

One would think her added boost in energy would afford her some leniency to be partially distracted but they were very skilled, much like the rest of their family that Nanaomi knew of, at least. With out hesitation, she would burst forward until she was between them. With both of her hands pointing towards each person, the energy engulfing her hands erupted into a full sized cutlass blade made of dark swirling purple energy. Being so close, and in such speed, she managed to pierce each of their stomachs. With out hesitation, she would preform a spin, causing them to fly in opposite directions, drawing some of their blood in an adequate attack. It was surprising to her that it landed, however, being that most of her skills were still unknown to them, she could surprise them in certain situations. But only for so long before they figure out all of her abilities. So time was of the essence.

Being that as it may, Nanaomi would take no time in bolting over to Tsunkai who was now slowing to a stop of his own accord before delivering a massive combination strike of horizontal and vertical slashes. Small spurts of blood escaped Tsunkai but it was nothing devastating. Almost on Que if her finishing her barrage of attacks, a blue beam seemed to barrel towards her. She could feel it's presence as it neared. And when it was just about to strike her, she would catch Tsunkai's blade with her own and dodge to the side, forcing his guard down. In that instant, Tsunkai's Byakurai had pierced the stomach area of Tsunkai's body, causing him to stumble backwards a small bit. She might not be able to beat both of them, but she might be able to use their own powers against them. That was her best bet. And so, that was her now focused goal.

Nanaomi's eyes closed for a second before the blades shrank back to just encompassing around her hands. She had a goal, and a way to defeat them. Now to reliably make them strike each other, that was the hard part. A part that even Nanaomi was unsure she'd be able to accomplish. The two seemed to be preparing some sort of combined attack again. This time, they both disappeared at the same time. Tsunkai had reappeared in front of Nanaomi, forcing his blade into her hand which she expertly parried to the side, bringing the man's face with in inches of her own. At the same time, two blue orbs had been released and were already close to the pair's location. She needed to act quickly, and in doing so, she would plant one foot down into the "ground" of the air and preform an almost backwards bend, forcing Tsunkai's back to strike the Soren Sokatsui dead on. As the smoke cleared, one could see the Shihakushou was burned and torn.

So far, so good. At least for now. Her unorthodox fighting was giving her the upper hand but not for long. She needed to preform some more drastic measures as they were becoming accustomed to her fighting techniques. So, time for improvisation. With in seconds, Nanaomi disappeared as she was about to strike Tsunkai only to reappear before Hayashi. Nanaomi charged forward as if to punch him in the face. As he put up his arms to block the attack, she had instead flipped backwards, causing her knee to collide with Hayashi's chin, forcing him into the air. With in seconds, she bolted up to his level and sliced at him several times with her blade, only striking his arms that blocked most of the damage. The last swing caused Hayashi to spin around a full three hundred and sixty degrees. Once he was facing Nanaomi again, she would shift her position and cause the top of her boot to catch on to the man's chin and preform a high speed back flip. At the end of the flip she would let him go like an underhanded throw, sending the man flying into a nearby wall that hadn't been destroyed by the two titans below them.

Re: The Final Showdown

Post by Tenjinsai Bushinji on Sat Feb 10, 2018 8:09 am

Now both Tenjinsai and Tenkai had unleashed their shikai, their powers being released to the world. Despite being only the tip of what these two titans were capable of, the strength they had just unleashed was fatal to all but the strongest of warriors. There was a reason these two Captain's dared to claim this fight was for the position of Captain Commander. It was not arrogance as many would certainly judge them for; but simply because they truly were the ones that were strong enough to claim such a role in the world. Who won this battle though, that would determine what type of world would be forged for the Soul Society. If one looked simply at a piece of paper that listed the two combatants traits, Tenkai was certainly look the more preferable. The elder Bushinji was more experienced, both in combat and leadership, had a greater understanding of Soul Society politics and history; and most importantly greater influence among the Gotei Thirteen and nobles of the Seireitei.

Tenjinsai was a self appointed Captain with lofty ideals with the only true accolade being carried was being a member of a high ranking noble family. His strength was of course first rate, having achieved Bankai alone would hold him within the history books of Soul Society for centuries. His father though, to the untrained eye, was clearly the more qualified individual. What most did not look at though was the reason behind the objective, what drove them to do what they did. Tenjinsai could truly say he did this to bring peace to the Soul Society and end the war that had ravaged the land. He wanted to rebuild, to bring peace and prosperity to all citizens of their world, not just to those in the Seireitei. The younger Captain was truly kind, compassionate, and just in his ideals and morals. If one were to examine Tenkai's reasons, they may put into question how they will lead the Soul Society.

It was clear what the elder Bushinji had to gain from gaining such a rank. There was of course power, the most clear advantage of becoming the highest ranked individual in their government. Which the Central Forty-Six having been destroyed after the Vandenreich incident, the Captain Commander was the leading authority in the Soul Society at this time. Then there was the influence and prestige that came with the position. Being the leader was one thing, but the additional influence it afforded the leader of a high ranking noble clan, even the Four Great Noble Families could not say no to his requests. Power, influence, prestige, all rewards driven by the ambition of a man that truly had himself in mind first and foremost over those around and under them. It was not to say Tenkai would not be an effective leader in policy and governance, but his ideals did not line up with what the Soul Society needed right now.

That was why Tenjinsai knew he needed to win this battle, he was what the people of their world needed. Not just the Shinigami, or the Nobles, but the poverty stricken citizens of Rukongai that were overlooked. They needed a hero just the same as anyone else, and he would be that hero if given the opportunity. Looking forward, his eyes catching those of Tenkai, Tenjinsai waved his sword lightly; trails of flame rippling off of it. His father returned the gesture, the second blade of the pair held in his left hand raising upward and then swinging down quickly. A bolt of flames came down with it, busting through the ground below and leaving a small crater of scorched earth. "I suppose we should begin then if you are done, warming up." If Tenjinsai had been in a better mood he may have actually laughed at the unintentional joke, but it was not the time.

With a quick, simple nod, the battle was back underway and the two Captain's launched forward at one another. The distance between them was covered in the blink of an eye, their blades clashing and sending flames soaring away in every which direction. At lightning speed the two flitted about the battlefield, the flash of steel colliding being the only indication that the pair was actually in combat. Round and round they went, shockwaves rippling through the self imposed arena. Flames rippled around them with every missed strike, some launching blazing pillars high into the air above; others driving the inferno deep down into the earth creating caverns of magma. The two were also in an almost unnoticed game of, what could only be called, energy pong. Both men had fire elemental zanpaktou; each also having abilities that were incredibly similar in function.

As they fought and flung mountains at flame at the other, their counterpart would absorb the flames and release them back from whence they came. This was the fear of an unending duel that Tenjinsai had. Neither one would truly be able to overpower the other with the abilities they had. There were of course small loopholes that could be abused, the young Captain being well aware of this from how his own abilities worked. Tenkai though, having had a great deal more time learning of his zanpaktou and abilities; as well as adapting and learning more innovative ways to use them; it put Tenjinsai at a clear disadvantage. But there was advantage that the younger Bushinji had that he had been utilizing successfully thus far. Amidst their game of back and forth fire balls, Tenjinsai used his left hand to begin charging a ball of reiryoku.

The orb that slowly formed glowed a deep blue and grew quickly as energy was poured into it. Swinging his blade in a wide arc while pivoting on his left foot, Tenjinsai absorbed yet another wave of flames that was pulled into his zanpaktou. Upon completing his spin and coming the full three-sixty, the young Captain released a return wave of flames that burst outward towards his father. Immediately following the attack, he coupled it with an additional attack utilizing the orb he had been preparing in his left hand. Extending his left arm outward, the young Captain locked his shoulder and released the kidou he had been preparing in all of its glory. "Hadou number eighty eight, Hiryugekizokushintenraihou!!" The orb expanded outward exponentially turning into an enormous beam that followed closely behind the wave of flames that was initially released.

Tenjinsai hoped that the elder Captain would engage his predilection toward absorbing the flames from the first attack giving just enough delay for the kidou to hit him. The odds were slim, but given the timing between the two attacks it could succeed. Tenjinsai had left just enough of a gap that if his father moved to absorb the flames, he would not be able to react for just long enough to get out of the way of the hadou. Of course on the return the younger of the pair was burning through more energy then his old man was. These strategies would either end up paying off, or be his downfall in the end. He could only hope it would be the former or his future would not look bright for too much longer.

Nanaomi felt the powers of the titans below her shift and wane from the different movements being preformed. It was, beyond remarkable what they could accomplish. Their very first release was enough to put the pressure even on Nanaomi and she wasn't directly in the fight. Their energies were beyond massive. They truly were, the very definition of a Titan. As she thought this, Nanaomi was blind sided by a kick to the face. This sent her spiraling out of control for several meters. Placing her right hand into the air, she solidified Ki around her fingers, forcing her to skid to a halt. With both Tsunkai and Hayashi before her, she had no choice. She needed to step her game up. With a soft sigh and a heavy movement, the woman bolted forward and aimed to strike Tsunkai in the the face with her right palm, encased in energy. Meanwhile, her left hand started to gather a small orb of energy.

Just as she was about to meet Tsunkai's raised blade to defend, her body shifted to the right just enough that she'd speed past him and towards Hayashi. As she narrowly passed by, the woman's left palm, with the orb in the center, collided with Tsunkai's stomach. The instant it did, the orb erupted into a large beam, pushing the Shinigami several meters away from her to the left. This gave her enough time to close the distance on Hayashi, who had already readied two blue orbs that, only now were shot towards her. Doing her best, Nanaomi managed to dodge one of the orbs only to have the second strike her in the chest, sending her flying back. If this kept up, she'd never be able to beat them. It was as if all three were essentially equals. The worst part, they didn't even release their Zanpaktous yet. And they were already a match for her. Why would they bother?

They were equal in strength together, as Nanaomi was alone. But that was about to change. The woman felt her side of the fight was coming to a close soon. She would need to finish this if she wanted to get in on the fight with Tenkai. Except, she almost felt that would be intruding. Perhaps it was. Nanaomi's mind went back to when she had preformed the Hakai the first time. The energy she felt was, overwhelming. She noted her hair had turned red when that happened. What was that? It was odd, as she felt as though her power had transcended into something more. She, for a glimpse, was able to enter into the realm of Gods. She needed to chase that feeling yet again. And what better time than now. If she could attain that power here, she could end the fight between the two here and now. Nanaomi's eyes narrowed as her energy started to fluctuate. She was now determined, to attain this new level. She was determined to transcend the world of mortals, and reach deep into the world of the Gods.

As the woman stood there, unmoving and stoic like a statue, Hayashi and Tsunkai decided to act as one, and take advantage of the situation. Hayashi began to mutter something to himself, as six small yellow orbs began to appear above his right palm which was now face up. Tsunkai, on the other hand, had begun focusing his strength into his next move. A full powered attack directly in one swing was his goal. It seemed all three of them were ready to end this battle in one perfect attack. Hayashi's left hand started to now glow a bright yellow as a single, larger orb began to appear. Still, the man was muttering something inaudible for Nanaomi. She was sure Tsunkai could hear what was going on though.

As the two prepared their attack, Nanaomi herself had little to do except focus her whole mind on one task. Unlocking that potential that few ever got the chance to do. It was a rarity, so much so that only a few people in history were ever thought of, having this level of strength. Being able to physically attain the power of the Gods. It was, beyond what most mortals were even thinking could happen. In fact, to ninety percent of those very same mortals, any act a God was able to preform would be considered a miracle. Except, were they? Are they considered miracles if the actions are well with in the bounds of the powers that said entity possess? After the profound thoughts finished, Nanaomi's body began to shift. Her hair started to shrink back to it's normal length, however, it stayed purple. Perhaps, she had reverted to Super Saiyan one? In terms of what she was attempting, it was certainly possible. She was attempting to reach for a level of energy that surpassed her own by a marginal amount. Being able to sustain that drain on her body with Super Saiyan three still active? That would be suicide, plain and simple.

The woman's body began to lift up and glow a bright blue, as if glowing from behind her, the aura seemed to be basking her in what could only be described in the appearance of holy light. As her body lifted upon it's own accord, the light grew brighter unti lit engulfed her whole body. After that, the aura doubled in size before expanding even farther into a perfect sphere around her. As it encompassed her body, the orb sent out waves of sparkling blue light which penitrated even the deathly flames of the ones below. The orb now grew even brighter in contrast, dwarfing the brightness of the flames which burned as hot as the sun below her. A few pillars of said fire erupted near her, almost striking the orb however, almost as if by a miracle they avoided her completely. A few moments passed before electricity started to jump form the orb to each wave of light that pulsed off of the orb itself.

Eventually, the orb stayed a blinding blue color, almost white in the center with the expanding energy rings and lightning ceased their existences. What would happen next, was remarkable to say the least. The light began to fade, slowing shifting back into a normal, yet still massively blue flame which was impossible to see past. Slowly, however, the aura would dim before finally breaking apart into small blue particles from toe to head. Revealing, Nanaomi standing before the two men, with bright red hair. Added to this, she seemed to have an almost thin aura of rainbow light clinging to the edge of her body like a second skin. The woman's body seemed, different now. She, seemed different. not only thinner, but she seemed to have lost all of her power. To the point, that one would question if she even existed. Her body, no, her very existence, produced no sense-able energy. As if she, just disappeared. However there she was, plain as day.

Nanaomi's right hand lifted palm up to meet her eyes. The hand would squeeze a few times and shift so she was able to see the effects of the transformation on her body. It was, unimpressive visually, at least right now. The woman's eyes had also faded to a bright red form, of, eye. It was odd to say the least. She would then begin to power up. Though, one wouldn't be able to tell if it wasn't for the new aura that adorned her body. She had been engulfed in flames of energy, rivaling the very appearance and intensity of the flames below her. A true master of the energy arts. It seemed during this transformation process her hands had stopped being engulfed in purple energy. To fix this, she simply willed it into existence, and the woman's hands were once again engulfed into a now bright purple energy like they were before. This whole world of attaining the level of a god was, beyond entertaining to her. She had actually managed to touch the immortal plane, and remain there. Though she was only temporarily anchored to it, still. She was anchored none the less.

It was now, that Tsunkai and Hayashi acted. Hayashi yelled out, as six flat segments resembling an old wheel from a wagon slid into Nanaomi's body at the waist. Her unmoving composure would lead some to believe she was, well, insane to say the least. The second, large yellow orb was now headed straight for her. Her body seemed to not move at all before the orb reached what would essentially be two arms length away for Nanaomi. At that moment, the woman's right hand lifted and was able to meet the blast head on. Just before it struck her, the blast had ceased in it's tracks, swirling around as if held in place by some magical force, before it suddenly dissipated into small purple particles and drifted away like dust along with the wagon wheel surrounding her body. Only one word was spoke in response to Hayashi's attacks.

H̟̻͕͇͍̰̗͈͍̒̇̀̈̿̀̚͞ͅą̼̞̦̝̪̟̠͋̍̂͆̄̈̚̕͟͞ͅk̨̹͔̰̼̞͆̈́͒̅͗̋̒͢͝͝a̡̩̲̯͚͈̣̽̅̿̂͌̋̎̐̕͠į̵̨̱̫̥̦̽̃̃͐͗͊̾̚͢͝ͅ

The moment the dust started to drift away, Nanaomi lifted her left hand off to her side. Before anyone could react or even see what had happened, a loud clang resounded the area as if two blades struck each other with great strength. It was now, evident, that Tsunkai attempted to slice Nanaomi in twine from the side, her energy blade covered hand stopped the attack narrowly before striking her. Tsunkai was, beyond remarkable in strength. however, what she lacked in strength she made up for in energy. And even learned to bridge that very gap in special ways that afforded her interesting results. The woman would then seemingly disappear only to reappear in front of Hayashi a moment later, with her fist striking him in the face. It seemed like something out of one of those anime shows, where time seemed to slow down as her fist made contact, contorting his face in pain as he was slung across the air and into yet another piece of building, this time, unconscious. It was astonishing, as her God Ki that enveloped her body, seemingly made such an impact that the clouds had been whisked away from her punch. Her next act, was to lift her left hand as a death black orb appeared and was ready to fire. Before firing, however, she was struck by Tsunkai's random attack, causing her to lose the orb, fading into obscurity.

A soft, annoyed sigh escaped the Woman's lips as she lifted her hand high above her, and swung it down with great force, causing a large purple wave to erupt in an arc, blasting Tsunkai point blank with it, sending him and the wave crashing into Hayashi where it then exploded in a massive quantity of debris. This fight was over, and now, she turned her attention to Tenkai. If she was to do what she wanted. She needed an opening. One that, she hoped would afford itself. She knew her time in this form was limiting, however strong it was. This was, most likely largely due to her inability to sustain the drain on her body just yet. Perhaps in time that would come but for now, she needed to soften up Tenkai for Tenjinsai to take the perfect action. An opening, a perfect opening had to be made.

Re: The Final Showdown

Post by Tenjinsai Bushinji on Tue Feb 13, 2018 3:30 am

Tenjinsai observed the movements of his father as he did exactly as he had expected him to. However the outcome of what he had expected, and what happened, were dramatically different. There was one single thing that the young Captain had not factored in, the raw talent that Tenkai possessed. The elder Bushinji swept his blade across the incoming burst of fire, effectively absorbing it within his zanpaktou and spun around on his right foot while doing so. The hadou was close behind it but the man was just fast enough to finish his spin and slash wide with the blade in his left hand. Out of the second sword of the pair came a burst of flames bolstered by the energy that had just been absorbed. The concentrated wave of fire struck the incoming beam of kidou and clashed for a moment before slicing cleanly through the center of it.

The flames continued through it, barreling toward Tenjinsai as a volley of eruptions followed it as the energy of the blast was disrupted. The young Captain's eyes went wide for a moment before moving his right arm forward, zanpaktou out in front of him. In front of his hand an orange disc began to form and rotate rapidly which then expanded outward. "Bakudou number thirty nine, Enkosen!!" The shield expanded out to its full size, and stood fast against the full strength of the flames before it; though not without strain. Tenjinsai braced himself against the force that met him, fighting against it with every ounce of strength in his body. The shield before him cracked and splintered, just barely managing to keep him safe before breaking away. As the orange hue of the enkosen faded from view, the two men met eyes once more and stared menacingly.

Each was growing tired, though Tenjinsai could easily see that he was the more winded of the two. His shoulders rose high with every breath he took, oxygen and reishi rushing through his body to supply the energy he needed to continue fighting. Tenkai grinned slightly, placing the zanpaktou in his right hand over the same shoulder. "I am impressed you managed to make it this far against me my son, a feat that is certainly admirable." The elder Captain paused, placing both of his blades out in front of him and crossing them in an X formation. "But this is the end of this battle. You have done well Tenjinsai, but you never truly had a chance of defeating me. Will you surrender, or will you fight on and lose your soul to me?" The answer was all too clear in Tenjinsai's head, he could not stand down. The younger Bushinji had far too much to lose from surrendering to his fathers might despite what the risks may be.

He had already come this far, he could not give up now. The young Captain flared his reiatsu, flames licking around him violently as he responded to his fathers question. "The second we drew our blades against one another there was only one way this battle would end. One of us will be the victor, the other the defeated. There will be no mercy or surrender, only despair of crushed ambitions. Let us finish this father and see once and for all who of us is the strongest." His father smiled menacingly, his teeth shining against the light of the flames. "Brave my son, you are a true warrior and credit to our family's name. Now prepare to face the might of the strongest shinigami alive. Bankai, Kagayakashii Oni Kokouo." His father's power exploded violently, the ground and left over debris being ripped apart and blown away under the sheer force of it.

It was something terrifying to behold, even for one as strong as himself. There was no one alive to this day that had seen his fathers Bankai in person. Those that were unfortunate enough to witness this release were slain by it. It was a well kept secret on the elder Captain; only ever used when it was truly needed. Tenjinsai could accept it as praise though, being considered worthy of having such power used against him. He had been deemed a large enough threat in his fathers eyes to use his full strength in battle. It was now the young Captain's turn to unleash his own power in earnest. His arm moved forward, his zanpaktou pointing forward toward his father and then slowly raised into the air. The tip of his blade faced skyward as the flames were suddenly extinguished all at once; the air around him becoming still. "Bankai, Kagayakashii Seijin Enma."

This only lasted for a single moment as his own power exploded outward violently, reiatsu skyrocketing and shaking the ground beneath him with its raw, unbridled power. Around him the flames exploded outward once more but took a more solid and controlled form. Slowly forming around him, a construct of flames was created, a massive beast that towered high into the air. It was a visage of Seijin Enma born of the purity of fire, two massive blades crafted out of the inferno wielded in its hands. The beast staggered forward slightly after being formed, finding its footing on the ground. The heat beneath its feet turned the very earth into shallow pools of molten magma; run off flowing to the surrounding areas in shallow streams of trickling lava. Amidst all of this, Tenkai stood resolute observing the bankai of his son, impressed but not threatened in the least.

"Very good Tenjinsai, you truly have a splendid bankai. The power your possess, it is quite magnificent. But let us see just how much substance there actually is amidst all those flames. Let us hope your bark matches your bite." The two then quickly took to battle, their overwhelming strength colliding in earth shattering shockwaves. The ground beneath them shook; every blow threatening to rip their world apart. The atmosphere became dry and humid, the air stiflingly stagnant as the heat emanating from their bodies slowly destroyed the very eco-structure of the Soul Society. They could only fight like this for so long, both fighters knowing an extended battle would be a much larger issue then just running out of energy and reiryoku. They would no longer pull punches, each blow being placed with every ounce of power that could be mustered behind it.

It was a no holds barred battle to the death and one blow could very well decide it all. As time went on it just became a question of whether they would turn the Seireitei into a barren wasteland of ashe and magma before then. The two deftly dodged or blocked each individual blow, the impact of such when it missed destroying vast tracts of landscape and buildings beyond that. Everything within a football fields distance of them had been reduced to nothing but ash. Beyond that fires blazed mercilessly; gobbling up anything they could find that would fuel the rampage. Tenjinsai would be the first to attempt a truly destructive blow in their battle of blows. His blades raised up high into the air, flames congregating around them as his reiatsu flared while preparing the devastating attack. Only moments passed before his two mammoth cleavers came crashing down into the earth; each one striking several dozen meters on either side of Tenkai.

The ground between where he had made impact began to shake and crack as a fissure formed and ripped the ground asunder. It stretched out one hundred meters from where he stood and stretched the full width between his swords. The elder Bushinji had leapt into the air to avoid being sucked down into the gaping hole that had been created into the earth; but he was not out of danger yet. Deep in the crevice a faint red glow could be seen that was rapidly growing brighter. A second had passed, if even, before an explosion of fire and lava erupted up from the depths of the earth and scattered itself high into the air above even the height of Tenjinsai's flame titan. He had lost sight of his father amidst the curtain of flames and magma that had covered his vision. This was not over yet though, the young Captain could still sense his father's reiatsu, as strong as ever.

At best he had landed a blow, but certainly not a decisive one. Scoring any type of damage would be a victory at least. He would just need to continue racking up the strikes until he finally found himself on the winning side. It would certainly not be an easy endeavor as the elder Bushinji emerged from the curtain of fire and magma; moving forward quickly; blades raised high in the air to strike. Instead of coming down with a single set of hard strikes, Tenkai hovered in the air while unleashing a barrage of slashes, a wave of flames created with each and every slice that was made. One after another the attacks slowly piled up, five, ten, fifteen, then twenty waves of flame crashed against the flaming construct that held Tenjinsai within it. The younger Bushinji moved his blades to defend, most of the attacks having little to no effect on his gargantuan body thanks to the sheet of flames that protected him at its core.

Some of them he did opt to absorb, devouring the extra energy greedily into his form to replenish what he had lost to this point. Keeping his blades crossed in front to defend, Tenjinsai inside moved his arms independent of his construct, cupping them out directly in front of him. A thought had run through his mind, one that he had at the very beginning of the fight the first time that he had used the Hiryugekizokushintenraihou. It was effective, but what if it could have been more effective by simply utilizing more energy. Of course it would be more costly as far as reiryoku expended, but a direct strike would pay off more dividends then it would spend in energy. Regardless of the logistics involved, this was a theory the young Captain was about to put into practice. From amidst the blazing titan that held him a brilliant blue glow could be seen at its core. In the cupped palms of Tenjinsai's hands an orb began to grow and expand quickly as he poured massive pools of reiryoku into the attack.

He could already tell now that what he was doing was dangerous, the amount of energy being used far exceeding that of the hadou he had used several times earlier in the battle. It was too late for him to turn back now, the attack was prepared; now he just needed to know what to call it. Given what he was doing, it seemed fairly simple as to what he would call it. "Prepare yourself father, even I do not know what destruction is about to occur. Hadou number ninety three, Tsuinhiryugekizokushintenraihou!!!" It was an arbitrary number, thought up quickly to give the attack some form of designation to help with the casting. What was truly incredible was the raw, destructive nature of the attack that was just unleashed. Where the original hadou was already horrendously devastating, this had to be several times over what it had been capable of.

The radius of the beam was seventy feet, perhaps even slightly larger then that. Everything in its path was absolutely obliterated as well; leaving only a divot the size and shape of the beam as it traveled across the landscape far into the distance before erupting into an explosive burst of unrivaled proportions. Even the massive chasm that Tenjinsai had previously created paled in comparison to the destruction he had just unleashed upon the Soul Society. It had taken its toll on his though, the expenditure of so much energy leaving him quite drained. His reserves of reiryoku were of course vast being as strong as he was, but they were not endless. If he continued using his energy as recklessly as he was he would not have much left for the fight. But one thing was certain, the attack had made its markas the young Captain took note of his father's reiatsu.

It had waned slightly, wavering ever so gently amidst the clouds of dust, smoke, and fire. The moments passed and soon the visage of the elder Bushinji would be laid upon him. Both Tenkai's left arm and leg were burnt and bleeding in certain areas. His shihakushou was all but obliterated in those area, his haori hanging off by only the sleeve on his right arm. His breathing had become ragged; the damage clearly having taken its toll. Unlike before though, whenever Tenjinsai had done something impressive, there were no words of earnest or sarcastic praise. He had truly injured his father in that last attack, and there was no amusement that could be found. The young Captain suspected that things were about to take a turn knowing full well the old man still had a few tricks up his sleeve. Tenjinsai needed to be prepared for whatever would be coming his way; after all, he had an ace up his own sleeve as well.

Nanaomi eyed the battle, taking into account of what was happening. The force of these two beings was aw inspiring to say the least. But when they clashed, devastation was all that was left in their wake. Even Nanaomi's energy wasn't this strong. It was remarkable, and intrigued her greatly. As such, the woman felt it would be needed to formulate any defense against Tenjinsai, should his goals not align with her own. Being the curious scientist as she was, the woman's eyes scanned across Tenjinsai's body. She watched, waiting, and allowed his Reiatsu to wash over her. Taking every minute vibration, every tickle of change into her mind for later examination. It was best, to gain this information first hand. Otherwise it would be difficult to plan anything extravagant. Besides, what concerned her the most was this titan of a Bankai the man held. Even his father didn't have something so, massive. No, their powers were similar and by connection both extremely strong. But it was remarkable that an energy could be used to create a living being made from raw fire and energy. It was almost mad to even think that was possible.

A soft chuckle escaped her lips before she placed her right hand up to block the coming winds. It seemed the two titan's attacks were starting to lay waste to the very ground around them. Seeing as Tenjinsai wanted no blood to be shed, Nanaomi picked the two men up and carted them off to a nearby rooftop that was just out of reach of the battle. Though, it was still with in range to be hit by any debris. She would stand between both Hayashi and Tsunkai, who were now lieing upon their backs, facing the massive fight before them. Nanaomi could feel the shift in air as it was becoming more and more arid, and even painful to breathe. On instinct, her right hand extended forward as a purple barrier formed around her, large enough to hold all three people inside but just barely. She didn't want the two Bushinji boys to wind up dead. Demon boy would destroy her if they did.

She rolled her eyes at the thought before continue to look at the battle before her. She couldn't help but be reminded by her time spent fighting the other Saiyans. None of them came close to this level of power. It was staggering, beyond that even. Nanaomi herself held the key to enter into Godhood, but even on that scale, Tenjinsai was arguably the strongest Mortal in existence currently. It was something that, plagued Nanaomi's mind. She could feel her energy was vastly different. She could feel the very course of nature's energy. The heart beat of the universe as it were. But this seemed to pale in comparison to the fact, that there was a mortal who could produce such raw, unbridled power that even a God could not stand against. He was, remarkable. Though, it took her until now to realize she had started to think like a God while in her God-like state. This, intrigued her. She hadn't realized that, spending more and more time in this form. Using God energy based techniques, her mind slowly shifted and contorted to the realm she was residing. It was, for lack of better words, disturbing. She'd shake this idea from her head before crossing her arms under her breasts and staring at the fight before her.

She couldn't believe that these two held so much power, the very act of swinging a blade caused so much devastation. It was unreal. Almost ,surreal in fact. Perhaps, some time soon Nanaomi herself would reach that level. Maybe, just maybe, she'd become something more even. Well, if her Red hair and seemingly invisible energy signature was anything to go by, it was almost certain she was destined for great, amazing things. That, was for sure.
